SDCC and Vinyl Beasts

SDCC was great this year. The Global Figure Symposium went really well and Don had everything flowing in a extremely natural way. Having all the super talented artists rotating at the table throughout the convention kept things exciting and a little unpredictable -which are very good things. Thanks to all the different mini companies working together, the amount of new stuff on display was never thrown off track. We were especially honored to have Mori and his Real X Head army of figures as well as Ayako and her Uamou creations there everyday. As always, getting to talk with many of you in person was the best part of the show. We are very lucky to have such articulate and thoughtful people sharing this project with us. I personally hope everybody who came by the table walked away satisfied that this strange adventure was worth going on.

  1. O_O!! These armobuilds are crazy! I really like how the ArmoBeast looks like it has big eyes & teeth due to the shape/designs on the top of an Armodoc's head. The ArmoClaw is equally insane & looks like it has lips LoL. The crawler is just...holy crap. That thing is massively huge & I'm amazed at how they are so buildable. Keep up the cool stuff & glad the con went well.

  2. It was definitely worth the trip to SDCC just to meet you Matt and experience the Global Figure Symposium. I wish I could have been there all three days to see everything that went on at your table. Thanks for being so cool, generous, and for introducing me to Mori's work. I spent all my con-money at your table and it was well worth it! Can't wait to see more collab stuff between Onell and Real X Head!!

  4. The second one is hilarious. I lost it when I saw the lips.

  5. What Arik said.

If I had more skill with puppet-making, I'd totally be making a "Lip Crab" right now.

Then again, it's not like the other two creatures aren't varying levels of adorable / crazy themselves...
