Mono Wave Sneak

New stuff is on track for the end of this coming week. Black, gray and white across the boards as well as a few surprises in the mix.

I've been building like crazy and having a lot of fun continuing the Glyanaut construction patterns. These basic colors seem plain at first, but once combined they are probably my all time favorite ones to build with. Something about the simplicity brings me back to my youth. Snake Eyes, Storm Troopers, Clawtron (ha!) and of course Darth Vader all represent the most basic of color styles just to name a few.
Our little guys will never reach those iconic levels of design, but it is fun to play in the shadows cast by the old masters. Plus, I can finally make the triple colored Command Pheyden that appeared on this blog back in 2008, the original of which I had to leave in China for a paint master on one of my trips there. More pics will begin rolling out tomorrow as well as the assortment details for the Mono Wave!

  1. Just tell us that you'll post some of your better Glyanaut builds, yeah? I think this wave, I need to just focus on matching your skills with these pieces already...

  2. "but it is fun to play in the shadows cast by the old masters"
words cant even describe how i feel about this statement.....these glyos toys are masters in my book, playability, durability, customizability and overall fun factor at reasonable prices from a creator/designer that takes pride in his product....sounds masterful to me :)

  5. I see a couple of interesting tidbits there. Command Pheyden is a serious must, that's one I would build and give out to get new people into Glyos.

  6. Looks like a fun drop! I am diggin the all grey Sarvos with black eyes. And am I mistaken, or is that a black Noboto face down in the pic?? Wish I had more $$$ to devote to this drop. I am a big fan of black and grey, and would like to build that Command Pheyden as well.

  10. Stuff should stick around a little longer this time since the amounts have been increased a bit to keep the store more stocked with the basics.
We try to make the right choices as the project evolves, so hopefully a stronger balance between supply and demand will be achieved on this release due to the order modifications.
On a related note, the options on how to get a few of the older items have also been changed. Phase Arms will be offered as singles for this drop and most likely for future assortments as well. The old Echo Morph style will also now be broken up into Extra Sets. More options at smaller price breaks for build planning. We'll see how it goes!

  12. Seconded, even if some of us will have to wait a lil' while before going nuts with it.

So where are the Glyoid builds, eh?

  13. nice stuff... I know I'll be buying a bunch.. I'm really looking forward to the glynaut... I love the idea of all new figures.. every one you've done has just further improved the product and shown how you've grown as a sculptor and an artist in general

I get giddy with every incoming drop.. and I like the focus on play over collectability..

also, you realize people are still going to buy the phase arms in pairs, right? I know I will

also.. you need to do packs of connector pieces (meaning the arms and legs and feet) I have so many extra head/torsos... I want them all to be complete! and you can never have too many male/male pieces

  14. Seconded @ JediCreeper. I know I could use more "connector" pieces myself.

  15. The Fistful-O-Glyos was AWESOME! I got 49 parts including three glows. The building was frenetic. I hope we're still employed by next payday (and the store's still stocked), if not I'll be knocking over a bank and placing the biggest order ever, lol.
