Dungeon Traveler Skeleden Standard MK II

  1. Really liking the shift to the Traveler & armor set in one PVC color with paint masks. Is the extra pair of limb armor an addition going forward for Skeleden?

    1. That would be so useful if true. Skeleden really rocks the "vambraces and greaves" look.

    2. This version also comes with an extra axe and chest armor piece, along with the additional arm armor shown above.

Depending on how this release does, we'll maybe start adding the extra stuff to future releases of Skeleden. Personally, I always end up adding the parts, so my preference is for the extras as a default pack in.

What do you guys like best?

    3. I wouldn't go so far as to say there was something lacking but the extra armor definitely helps fill out Skeleden for battle.

But two axes included? He's about to unleash the wrath of Kratos on the Glyknights.

    4. Extra armor always helps when coming up with new builds, though I never know what to do with the extra breastplates.

The extra axe, though. Customizers will no doubt love that!

    5. I like to use the extra chest armor as a some kind of mutated bone helmet overgrowth in "Battlecurse" mode:

    6. Beat me to it but yes, the Battlecurse mode is possible. Another option is using the extra armor to bulk up a Skullboto Squad Leader

  2. I'm unclear as to how this new Skeleden figure differs from the wave 43 "Dungeon Traveler Skeleden Standard" figure released back in 2015? Is this a re-release then? They look virtually identical.

    1. The original Standard Skeleden had the Traveler figure in the maroon PVC while the Skeleden set (armor/head/limbs/axe) were in the bone colored PVC. This one looks to be completely molded in bone PVC with the maroon applied as paint masks/accents. Also Skeleden's had only shin armor (greaves) while this updated Standard also has wrist/forearm armor (vambraces)

    2. Ven is right on the money. This version is actually pretty different on a technical level, but it's focused almost entirely on the Traveler body underneath, whereas the armor is almost the same, but you get more of it on this edition.

    3. AH! ... I see the differences now. Thanks for pointing them out, Venenor & Matt! :-)

  3. Happy to see this. Will we get a Reverse as well? That was one of my favorite releases the year it came out!

    1. Also the extra armor looks great. I always felt something did seem kind of missing, but seeing the extra pieces confirms it.

    2. No Reverse in this release, but there will also be another style available that's all new.

  4. For the record, including the extra armor, is dream come true for me, now I only need to buy two to build the battle curse armor!!! Keep it coming, more Skeleden armor is never a bad thing. Also I used the breast plate as a mask over a hubset, looks pretty rad!

  5. I'm all for this double armor move for easier battlecurse builds. Getting guards for the hands without needing to strip another Skeleden is really helpful.
