Thank You!!!

Thank you for exploring the "slightly pink" Villser Ullmoriun Biovessel with us over the last week! We really appreciate all the steady communication that has been popping up in those comments as well. It always feels good to talk with you guys, and even after all these years we're still gaining new insight into our community on a regular basis. Marking our 72nd wave is only possible because of your true interest in this stuff, and we'll keep on creating within this world as long as we have the ability to do so.

I'll attempt to keep things short(ish), I promise!

Beyond the return of the Buildstation, this recent wave wraps up our small trio of "Real Type" releases as we head towards the warmer months. It's a blast endlessly exploring the oddball hues of Real Type color theory, so revisiting the genre later this year is a definite. In the meantime, we'll continue to nose around the Biovessel with some special posts popping up over the next week.

Speaking of upcoming releases, our next one (late May) focuses on a pretty specific and somewhat obscure homage that some of you may be familiar with from when you were kids. It's a little outside the more popular 80's toylines, but does have some significant meaning behind the scenes over here, particularly in regard to the DSG design. I consider this coming wave a temporally displaced birthday gift to my much younger and less gray counterpart, playing under the bed somewhere in a permanent 1984. Be prepared for extra weirdness with this one, and of course, expect a couple surprises.

Almost every order placed up until late last night has headed to the post. As usual, Michelle and Pj were the dual forces responsible for keeping things on track. Little Dragon and a dash of Fleetwood Mac scored the barn mayhem for the week. Quick note for those of you that may have received two different tracking numbers; please disregard the first one you received and just follow the second one that was issued. We had an old school Paypal hiccup and had to re-enter the shipping on a few orders.

I said I'd keep it short and I almost got there! Thanks once again for being part of Glyos and for all the awesome creative inspiration that you continue to share not only with us, but most importantly, with each other.

Thank You!!!

Extra big thanks for a super release! Task Force Volkriun is one of our old school selections, so we really wanted to offer something fun for its return to action. The combination of  crossovers (thank you John and Jesse D!) allowed for some truly open ended build potential, and once again granted access to further explorations of the Variable Reflex Driver story arc. I've been wanting to build some super charged TFV green machines for years!

The Xenodeth Villser is another one that's been waiting in the wings since the original sculpt was completed, particularly in the "Morphic Creeper" configuration shown above. By swapping the "brains' and "bio-croissants" on these two new colors, you get even closer to the Giger inspired look that's a deep part of the Villser's design DNA. Those familiar with the early iterations of the Xenomorph from the classic Alien film will understand the clear cream tint choice and its significance.

Looking down the road a bit, we'll be rolling out our next wave in early April, which will wrap up the mini Real Type trilogy of releases that started in January. Expect some colors that line up well alongside both the Glyaxia Rangers and Task Force Volkriun assortments.

All orders placed up until a few hours ago have been packed, processed and shipped. Michelle and Pj were both totally in the zone as usual, keeping things from overwhelming the barn as the boxes and tape were flying around. They are absolutely the reason that the orders move out the door so quickly.  Some NewRetroWave mixes and a generous helping of Hall & Oates made up the soundtrack in the packatorium this time.

Special thanks to Ralph for delivering not one, but three beautiful illustrations. I think he could make just about anything look a thousand times cooler than it really is with that superhuman talent of his.

Thanks again for the great response to Task Force Volkriun's return. These colors are very special to us because they were first explored by the great Dave "Pappysoup" Pappas , a gifted writer, dedicated veteran and true friend. Long live Pappysoup! This one is dedicated to you!

Mega Merge

Over the last week, a new Glyos based crossover project we've been working on has finally surfaced online, that being Mega Merge. This collaborative effort came about thanks to our old friend, Jesse DeStasio (Knights of the Slice monarch), and his long standing relationship with toy manufacturer, Just Toys International. After many discussions and brainstorming sessions over the last year and a half, our three groups ultimately united to bring the Mega Merge brand to life.

The Onell Design end of the Glyoverse has quietly operated along the edges of an industry that focuses almost entirely on popular licensed properties. Though we are completely dedicated to creating original material, we also have a passion for the classics, and have mixed many tributes into the DNA of our releases over the years. Through teamwork with some of our great partner companies, we've even been lucky enough to work directly on a few legitimate classic property relaunches as well.

Though it's fun to visit the worlds of officially licensed characters, the general direction of Glyos around these parts remains grounded in the weirdo stories that we've been exploring for the last decade. Our new cousin, Mega Merge, on the other hand, will be focused exclusively on licensed stuff, particularly characters from video games, both old and new.

Long time Glyos builders may not immediately be into every technical design decision made with Mega Merge, as the primary directive with this new line is to capture the authentic look and feel of the licensed character first, not just to turn out a super parts-optional figure. That being said, there are actually many cool combinations that can be achieved with what's available just within the first Fallout selections, you just need to approach the building process from a different angle.

The pricing is super competitive with Mega Merge, with the initial offerings landing at only $10 USD per character. This is a major boon for the project, and a lot of work went into nailing that price point for the debut rollout.

If you dig what you've seen so far, maybe give it a shot. Some solid expansions are in the works, and if things shake out the right way, we could see some really fun vintage waves surface along with the current modern properties -and they'll all be fully Glyos compatible.

You can find the first wave for pre-order here.

Thanks for checking things out!
