Dimension Drifters

We have finally completed everything and the new stuff is ready- REFRESH EVERY PAGE! Marcus and I really visited some special mind torture resorts while putting this together. The new Passcode has been our labor of love, and we hope you guys enjoy what it has in store. I think Marcus took it to a new level with the animation on this one. You are an animal Mr. 11! Disasterpeace's musical genius once again provides the essential soundtrack for this latest installment. Rich- Marc and I thank you so much for your complete generosity, there is no Passcode without you.

We also wanted to throw a little curve ball this time, so we have released a special Custom Corps called "Dimension Drifters". All the figures in this Custom Corp have been individually hand dyed (I managed to burn my forehead while doing it) and painted, with a few also sporting scarves and even some cloaks (all made by Michelle!). They are fully playable and also come packed with a secret "Relic" in every blind bag. The edition is around 60 right now, but if the demand is high I will make a few more. The majority of the figures use the Phanost and Sarvos molds, but a couple oddballs have also gotten into the mix as well (from the future and the past). The Armodocs make their second appearance in the store (onelldesign.com/store) in a few new colors and now have a neat gloss applied to them, giving a slightly different look and feel (but no figure inside this time). Some old faces have also returned in this latest wave. Make sure to poke around the blog and check out the new Passcode to track down everything. We are also reopening the Junk Shop for a limited time this month. There are some older parts and the scraps of the last few runs waiting to be customized in there. The Buildstation also gets the Grey Gendrone back in stock. My brain is fried, so please forgive the scattershot nature of this post. I think I need a Formanchie to power up.

Thanks to all of you for sticking with us, we hope that the wait was worth it.

Transition

In response to the amount of Junk Shop figures dwindling down, we have come up with something new to keep that solid low price as our other new bargain project comes together for launch in late July. Our friends at the factory in China have created some Junk Shop figures of their own, utilizing the orphaned parts from the last run of Buildman, that we can now put into circulation through the Junk Shop. These figures are actually in very good shape, far superior to the older Junk Shop offerings. Upon inspecting the completed figures we have even discovered some rare treasures in the mix. Though the Junk Shop Buildman figures have 19 parts, as opposed to the standard 13 available with Pheyden and Exellis, we will be still be selling them for the standard Junk Shop price of $4. There is a finite amount available and after that who is to say where the Junk Shop will land. One thing is for certain though, we will continue to push for lower prices and always strive to bring you guys the best deals possible. This will lead up to the opening of a new section on the site that we hope everyone finds useful and affordable, especially if you like to customize and build. Thanks for sticking with us and allowing us to grow.

Junk Shop Status

What started out as a way to offer cheaper figures and eliminate the less than perfect product that was lurking around has become something of a phenomenon over here. We have been receiving more orders for the Junkpiles every day and are actually very low on the little misfits now. Even though the days of the Junk Shop seem to be numbered, something is coming to take its place. Something with the same great value but without the imperfections. As things grow with the business, different opportunities come up and sometimes they pan out. The next phase of this project will pose some riskier situations, but we are ready to go, thanks to the collective support of all of you. So my apologies that the Junkpile is no more, but the single figure will remain up for a bit longer. Thanks again for making the Junk Shop work, and supporting the growth of Onell Design and the Glyos System with true dedication, unlimited patience and extreme generosity. We will continue to stay connected and build this together.

The Junk Shop

This should be kind of a fun option for building up piles of parts. Over the past year and a bit we have been through all kinds of crazy toy producing experiences with the Glyos line. The first figures we had produced showed up covered in nasty, sloppy paint and we had to hand clean thousands of them. It truly sucked. The second round was much better, but still had some paint adhesion issues. So again, we cleaned and fixed everything we sent out to you guys. This is the major reason for long lags in getting orders out. The last few batches got even better, but STILL were not dead on. It took me traveling to China and actually working with the factory -on the assembly line- to finally get things right. The upcoming Buildman (believe it or not he really is almost here) is geared to be our best figure yet. The point of this entry is to bring attention to something new we want to try. As we continue to try to bring the quality even higher and the price even lower, we want to offer everyone a chance at the rather significant pile of figures that did not quite cut the mustard as far as paint and finish go. I call these misfit figures the orphans of the Glyos System. All the parts are totally functional and molded great, they just have kind of uneven final paint syndrome (like when a GI Joe has bad eye paint, but not as overall rough looking as the new Indy figures). Offering these figures at a big discount will make it easier to amass extra building parts at a lower cost. Since part of the Glyos fun is customizing and eventually building bigger stuff, grabbing parts for as cheap as possible is key. Check out the Junk Shop and let us know what you think. All the figures will ship in totally random configurations, but rest assured that every so often something "non junky" will slip into the mix when these little misfits make their way to your homes. Thanks as always to everyone for making this project worth absolutely every long night, we really appreciate the chance to do this together with all of you.
