Power-Con 2023

If you're in Columbus, Ohio this weekend, check out an especially super charged Power-Con, featuring a jam packed exhibition of independent action figure makers from all over the country. Also make sure to swing by the newly assembled "Glyos Alley" section of the show to catch up with many of the current Glyos makers and get your first shot at their special Power-Con exclusives. 

Celebrating our first attendance of this long running show, Onell Design and Culture Pirates will be releasing a special small Power-Con joint assortment across our two sites. Both attendees of the convention and those at home will have the chance to pick up the figures, both onsite and online, while supplies last. 

Our stores will open simultaneously tomorrow night, Friday the 11th, at 9:30PM EDT for online sales.

Onsite sales will open in Glyos Alley tomorrow when Power-Con begins at 2PM.

Bit Figs: Wave 15

A small selection of new and rare items have been added to the Culture Pirates shop, including GITD Space Series 1, and for the first time online, the original Animal Series 1 Display!

We're officially 3 years into the Bit Figs vending venture, and it's still a trip to find these little Quarter Munchers in the wild, especially now with the Glyos Space Series in full rotation.

There is also a new subset of Ninjas hitting vending machines in select areas, and we're working on some exciting bonus content to level up the gameplay... more info to come in the fall!

New items have just been added to the Culture Pirates shop!

Three new limited edition sets of Bit Figs are available online for the first time: Mordireus Space, Redlaw Ninja, and Mecha Animal, plus a new Bit Figs button pack!

A small bonus batch of Phase Animal sets from the original production sample run have also been uncovered – if you missed out back in 2016 here is your chance!

Please note the limit of 2 on the Mordierus sets - they are from an early test run and are extremely rare. Thank you and have fun!

Flying Vipers - Nervous Breakdub

On the 40th anniversary of its initial release, Flying Vipers pay tribute to the debut EP by hardcore/punk pioneers Black Flag. Their first 7" record, Nervous Breakdown, introduces the original line-up with 4 songs in 5 minutes. We've put our own spin on this iconic set, arranged as a single track, stripped down to bare bones drums & bass, and drenched with reverb and analog effects. Recorded and mixed direct to cassette tape over the span of a few hours.

Big thanks to our resident Viper artist, Big Boots MD, for reinterpreting the classic Raymond Pettibon illustration. More music – including our first full-length – coming later this year.

Over the coming weeks and months, Bit Figs Space will be popping up in vending machines across North America, thanks once again to our friends at SSM Vending! The rare painted figures will remain exclusive to the vending market for the initial rollout.

We've opened a Culture Pirates Etsy Shop, where new printable items like this will be offered.

Etsy is a community of independent creators and supporters that embrace the do-it-yourself work ethic. Back in my middle school punk rock days, DIY was our motto, and that attitude still filters through my daily life.

In addition to the coloring pages, there's also a set of Valentine's Day cards that can be downloaded and printed. Packs of Bit Figs vending series are listed as well to expand their online presence and introduce Etsy-goers to our little world.

We have more printable pages and activities in the works as we explore new markets for kids, parents, and teachers. If this is something you're interested to see more of please let us know!
