Mercenary Alert

Returning from beyond the void and hot on the heels of the recent Game of Hope show, Jesse Moore and his boys have released an all new wave of Callgrim to wreak havoc on your toy shelves and work desks across the plastic frontier!

This new assortment marks the online debut of the Heavy Armored Order, which is a special "hidden" form of the Sincro Armor Set.

The main goal of  Sincro Armor project was to create a multi-purpose "universal" set that could line up with not only the Sincroborg, but also many of the various molds from across the expanded Glyos catalog -with extra attention paid to its interface with Callgrim.

So as a surprise for Jesse on his birthday a couple of years ago, I hid the Heavy Order "face" behind another glued on outer Sincro styled armor plate, then sent the first test shots up to him as a present to discover. It was a good little bright spot in those uncertain times.

Congratulations to our brother Jesse and his sons on the triumphant return of our favorite mercenary!

Game of Hope 2023

One of the major things we've missed throughout the pandemic was connecting in-person each year with our extended Japanese family. Now, after far too long a pause, we're all able to finally have a reunion, but for the first time right here in New England.

Tomorrow afternoon we'll be in attendance co-hosting the first Game of Hope exhibition to be held at Jesse Moore's Graphic Jam screen printing shop, which also doubles as the official headquarters of Callgrim.

Flying in direct from Tokyo and releasing limited editions of their otherworldly Japanese sofubi will be the superhuman quartet of RealxHead, Uamou, Cord Viper and Goccodo.

Running support for this mini showcase will be the equally incredible Marty "The Godbeast" Hansen, Toyfinity (John Kent), Spaced Out Design (Pj Bartlett) and performing live, Toy Pizza's very own Jesse Destasio and Zed Star Seven! Jesse D will also be promoting his latest campaign to bring another of his childhood characters to life (more on this next week).

In special celebration of the event, Jesse Moore will also be revealing his latest assortment of Callgrim, featuring all new runs of the most notorious bounty hunter in the Glyos System. Jesse will have some surprises pulled from his archives available as well. There's also rumor that some very rare Callgrim sofubi might make an appearance...

The Game of Hope is set to run tomorrow, October 28th from 1-6 PM at the Graphic Jam in Beverly, MA.

The Macrotones - Unknown Outpost

Tomorrow evening, Saturday Oct. 29th, Destroy Babylon has the distinct honor of supporting legendary reggae band The Wailers! The line-up includes a few of the '70s-era players, including co-founder and Bob Marley's bassist, Aston "Family Man" Barrett. If you're near the New England seacoast area, come join us and the whole Onell clan for an epic night at NH's best and largest venue, the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom.

I also wanted to share some news about DB's "brother band", The Macrotones. Our new full-length album is now available from the Culture Pirates shop! I was lucky enough to hit and shake a number of instruments on this record, in addition to creating the artwork alongside resident artist Jesse Moore. It's also available on iTunes, Google, and all major streaming services.

Our descent into Macro-Babylon has been a steady evolution- from fans in '08, to gig mates, then designer, fill-in drummer, and eventually my brother and I became their full time bass & percussion players. Meanwhile, a handful of the Macrotones joined DB (and side projects), forming the tightest union of bands I've ever had the pleasure of being a part of.

From dark, brassy funk to lush Afro-pop, Unknown Outpost feels right at home with the Music ADD catalog. This is also the first album to feature vocals, including contributions from Rob Carmichael of DB and rising sensation Iyeoka (her single "Simply Falling" has over 40M views!). Our friends bcap and Does Bros of DXA add some hip-hop flavor to the mix as well.

Hope you dig the sounds!

Mercenary Alert

Jesse has rolled out an all new wave of Bounty Hunters to wrap up Callgrim's 2015 Star Wars themed releases! He's been talking about an assortment like this since before Callgrim was even in PVC, so producing all the Kenner inspired color selections definitely scratches a long time itch for the Beardlord of Beverly.

Shoot over to the Callgrim shop to see what's cooking. Make sure to also check out Jesse's new Instagram account, which is sure to feature multitudes of creative magic as well as a variety of New England born body horrors.

Awesome wave, Jesse! Love that bike!

Glyosar Party

The new store is LIVE!
Huge thanks to the resident Van Gogh from Under The Mountain, Jesse Moore for the amazing painting shown above, and to longtime friend and all around musical cyborg Glen Schricker (aka Circuits and Brains) for the awesome tune! We'll have a little story to tell as the week rolls on, and the creative combination of Jesse and Glen gets us off to a great start.

Note: Please place only ONE ORDER WITHIN THE FIRST HOUR tonight. We usually see an increased volume of traffic during a new release and need everyone's cooperation to ensure things operate smoothly. After the initial dust settles, we will lift all limits. Thanks for your understanding and support. Have fun!

Mercenary Alert

Emerging from the shadows of his ever growing T-Shirt Empire in the North, the enigmatic Mr. Moore has just released one of his most ambitious homage waves to date! Focusing on a selection of classic Kenner Star Wars Rebel Alliance colors, The Order is now reinforced and ready to track down Callgrim and his gallery of rogues!

Head over to the Callgrim Store to check out Jesse's latest and greatest!

Mercenary Alert

Emerging after just over a year spent in the shadows, Callgrim has returned right in time to menace your holidays!

Featuring a few updated versions of some classic Callgrim color combinations, as well as a couple new hues, Jesse has a batch of great stuff for fans of the Skullface both new and old alike.

Good to have you back, Gimli!

The Beverly Base

2013 was a quiet year of transition for Callgrim, as Jesse spent the vast majority of his time working like crazy on bringing his newly expanded print shop to life.

Having known Jesse for 20 years, I can easily say that running a printing operation like this is something he's talked about forever, just as much as making toys and drawing comics. Truly a magnitude 10 endeavor.

As Jesse's workload at his new shop continues to remain heavy (business is good!), some alternative plans have been discussed for new Callgrim releases in 2014, potentially revolving around quarterly special releases and an available stock of some new standard versions (similar to our Buildstation). Of course, the gigantic Jumbo Callgrim is on deck to play a central role in all this potential action!

I believe that once Jesse masters his new Millennium Falcon, we'll all be treated to a whole new level of creativity from our favorite Beard Under the Mountain.

Titanic

Head over to the Callgrim Store and check out Jesse's latest mini assortment!

Exellis doesn't seem to know what to make of the whopping blue titan standing in his usual hang out. Jumbo Callgrim is like five Blocks high!

From Below

Jesse is right on track for his 9 PM EST mini (and jumbo) launch tonight!

While taking the pics of the Jumbo Callgrim, it was pretty neat to shoot from angles that are normally not on the menu. Looking up from the very bottom of an Order soldier's foot is something I never thought I'd get to do.

These titans are something else!

Mercenary Alert

Our favorite King Under the Mountain, Jesse Moore, has emerged from his secret location for a surprise launch this Friday, November 8th, at 9PM EST.

The special edition NYCC 2013 Gray Galaxy Callgrim will be available, as well as a handful of the Test Type Jumbo Callgrim vinyl behemoths.

We've missed you, Thorin.

Destination Point

A few pics of the upcoming October wave, from a recent trip up to Gloucester with TGB and his son, Kobe.

Some advanced releases of the above Armorvors will be available in limited quantities at our booth (#102) over the next few days and Jesse has even printed a batch of special shirts to sync up with these particular colors for the show.

Hope to see you guys at NYCC!

Regular Hours

After a great trip overseas, Jesse and I have returned to the daily business activities of our respective projects. We both want to take a moment to thank our various partners in crime on the other side of the world. Visiting China and Japan will always be a tremendously powerful experience, and that's 100% thanks to the extended family we have in those incredible locations.

Now that we're back, the preparations for NYCC 2013 have begun, and a list of our friends that we'll be exhibiting with will be popping up early tomorrow morning. We'll be set up at Booth #102, sharing connected space once again with Vermont's Retro Super Genius, Tom Lichtman of Sidekick Media (booth #203).

A wide selection of surprises are in store from multiple Glyos makers, ranging from all new production figures to debut hand cast creations. Regarding the subject of Japan, we're SUPER excited that RXH, Uamou and Skull Toys are returning for another showcase of all their collective sofubi mastery!

More details will be up soon. It's good to be back!

Straws

This situation is common when we travel overseas. Except that in this pic Jesse has a shirt on.

Well, half a shirt.

9.23.2013

Beef Bowling

Children were scarred by witnessing Jesse eat his Beef Bowl.

Yes, he's holding his beard with his fist to keep it from going in the broth.

China, welcome to the Mr. Moore Show!

Updates!

We are cranking away on shipping everything out from last week's release. There is a fairly massive blizzard headed our way, with a forecast to strike tomorrow morning and last into Saturday. This may affect our postal runs a bit, depending on what actually goes down (hopefully no more trees). As of now we are expecting over 2 feet of snow! Gah! Chances of us making the Toypocalypse show on Saturday night are now looking pretty slim.

On a far more positive note, later tonight we'll be posting up something very special that Nate "Baena" Baertsch has created to expand the development of Planet Sonesidar. It's absolutely remarkable how Nate can create such convincing paintings entirely on his computer. You literally feel like you're standing on the surface of an alien world when looking at what he's put together!

The Cosmic Comic King, Ralph Niese, has also knocked out another great round of the comic. We are aiming to post the next installment at some point tomorrow, in between battling the elements! Ralph has rendered some amazing new panels that continue to push the boundaries of conventional composition.

Working with Ralph, Jesse and Nate on the content for the Sonesidar release has been the best, as they are each truly masters at what they do. We are lucky ducks to know these hyper talented machines.

Now back to shipping!

Sonesidar Is Live!!!

Special thanks to painting ace Jesse Moore for another masterpiece  that makes our little goons look cool.

We will have some more special content popping up later tonight,  featuring all new artwork from the ever impressive Ralph Niese.

Have fun!!!

Make sure to check the Callgrim blog, where Jesse has whipped up some excellent new paintings that are looking glorious as always!
