Banimon Desert Dogs

Supreme Commander of the Banimon Forces, Boris Savic, has his second release of 2016 ready for action right now over in the Banimon Shop!

The new "Desert Dogs" themed sand colored sets feature some crossover combination builds that Boris has personally configured for the occasion, utilizing a special exclusive Hub Set in conjunction with his classic Banimon figure. Supporting these heavy armored soldiers is a brand new edition of the Glyos compatible vinyl Banimon Tank, decked out in colors that also match right up with our Esedeth releases from earlier this year.

We're pretty fond of anything desert related around here as far as PVC goes, so this round is a definite house favorite. Boris always puts a unique spin on things and the results are consistently surprising and exciting.

If you get the chance, spend some time reading through the story content found throughout his blog entries, lots of cool insight into the Banimon mythos awaits within!

Love this wave, B!

Spaced Out Design: Rule of the Raptinok

The great Pj Bartlett of Spaced Out Design has conjured up some all new 3D printed creations that are set to invade his rapidly growing figure line tonight, June 26th, at 9PM EDT.

It's hard not to love the bio-mechanical, bipedal "Raptinok" shown above, especially when it's been printed in GITD material! Pj continues to push his own boundaries with the execution of this original character, which sports over 18 interchangeable parts in its 100% 3D printed construction. There's more in store than just the Raptinok tonight, with a selection of surprise figures also waiting in the shadows of the Velgeris, yet to be revealed.

I've been lucky to have watched the development of Pj's latest characters while at the shop, and have seen some serious time and effort go into refining all of his new designs. The variety of his personal influences and interests continue to inspire extremely unpredictable and exciting work.

Adding a double dose of excitement to this new limited release is a special set of Spaced Out Design themed comic pages rendered by none other than the creator of Banimon, Boris Savic! By illustrating the beginning of Pj's ongoing story, Boris shares yet another of his many talents by drafting the art completely old school style, with straight ink and markers. I hope we see more from this collaboration very soon.

Yet another inspiring exhibition of skills by Pj and Boris!

What a month!

Banimon Invisibles

Perfectly timed with today's fresh snowfall, Rocket North's Chief Commander Boris Savic reinforces his Banimon legion with the first ever Clear Colorless "Invisible" edition of his classic Banigoth/Red Army Men figure tonight, February 5th at 9PM EST over in the Banimon store.

I've personally been waiting for a clear colorless run of these little guys for years, and now it's finally happening. I've had a few particular builds set aside specifically for this clear Banimon parts attack (one is shown above)!

However, the launch isn't only about the new clear production run, it also features a special custom "Pseudo CC" offering, showcasing the combined talents of longtime Banimon collaborator Seth "Orbitdyne" Longmire and Boris himself.

Looking forward to this release, B! It's hard to believe that you're coming up on 4 years in full production (Banimon/Red Army PVC figures debuted back in September 2012)!

Congratulations on another round, Boris!

Return of the Banimon Red Army Men!

Overcoming a multitude of obstacles thrown at him by both nature and by man, our good friend Boris Savic will finally roll out the return of his Banimon Red Army Men tonight, February 28th, at 9:30PM EST over in his store!

Making its second appearance in the spotlight as a full production vinyl piece is the Banimon Bunkerbuster tank, this time decked out in a green that might be familiar to those of you who like your plastic in Volkriun hues. This new Bunkerbuster is fully compatible with all of the vinyl we produce around here, and its colors match right up to last year's VSF wave.

I had some fun taking a modified Bunkerbuster (shown above with a few of our parts mixed in) for a spin across the piles of snow out back as the sun was setting, and the little armored machine proved once again that it's truly a blast to play with.

Well done, Boris! I'm loving this tank!

Banimon Multi Mech 2

A few more Banimon Multi Mech forms and a look at the core design configuration from the top.

Banimon Multi Mech

A batch of five Banimon figures yields this little bugger, the Banimon Multi Mech. I imagine this mech assisting with various operations, using its adaptable form to meet the needs of any given mission.

These are just a few of the configurations that you can pull from this combination. Nothing needs to be detached, and the forms above can be realized by just shifting the locations of the assembled parts around.

The "Walker" mode shown above is a direct homage to a classic Microman prototype from back in the 80's (thanks the great Microbry for the link!).

Banimon figures have some real hidden building potential!

Banimon Bunkerbuster!

Gigantic congratulations to our great friend and creator of Banimon, Boris Savic, on the impending release of his long awaited rotocast vinyl Banimon Bunkerbuster Tank, which will be available August 24th (tonight) at 7PM EST over in the Banimon Store! Also, check out his latest online comic, Banimon #4: Killer Science, HERE.

Boris has been working on his Banimon Tank project for the greater part of two years, tweaking and modifying the core design in an effort to make something functional and fun. Having a front row seat for the development of the tank has allowed me to really appreciate the creative process that Boris goes through, and his attention to detail truly shines through when you hold the Bunkerbuster in your hands. The overall aesthetic blends seamlessly with the existing Banimon PVC figures, and builds out the current Banimon universe by allowing a even larger spectrum to come into focus.

The tank is 100% compatible with all previous Glyos vinyl fit functions, and even has some PVC compatible ports located around the tank surface as well, which is a first! The play potential should find an interesting rhythm once this armored armada starts landing across the country. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of configurations surface using these new parts. Some color crossovers are definitely going to be in order.

Way to go, Boris! Here's to many more releases of this awesome new addition to the family!

BCC I

A triple team of talent have worked their magic on a very special release over at Banimon.com!

From the Banimon blog:

Tonight, Friday August 30th at 9.30pm EST, the Banimon Custom Corps One will be going on sale at our store. Figures will be $30 each, however we will have a small batch of deluxe beefed up figures for $40 (those have roughly double the parts, and also ship with a collectable poster of the new map of Planet Banimon. The quantities are limited, and we are asking that folks keep their orders to no more then two regular CC figures and one deluxe figure per customer so that everyone can get a chance to snag one. After the first 24 hours we will lift the limits on whatever is left. More details to come this afternoon, and hope to see you all tonight!!

Marking a milestone for the series, the first ever Banimon Custom Corps is the result of Banimon's creator, Boris Savic, combining creative forces with Pj Bartlett (Spaced Out Design) and Seth Longmire (Orbitdyne) to bring into existence a wild new array of mercenaries and madmen.

With Boris in charge of the story and artwork, Seth tackling the sculpting of some brand new parts and Pj handling all the casting, building, painting and photography (shown above) of the entire lineup, you know that something incredibly unique was destined to come together.

Congratulations to all three artists for completing this fantastic project. Larger custom runs are always a blend of pleasure and pain for many reasons, and when everything finally comes together it's truly an occasion to celebrate.

Enjoy tonight's release and we hope to see more from this trio in the near future!

Banimon Blast!

Head over to Banimon blog to check out the latest Troopers to join the ranks! Brilliant blues and radical reds mixed with the glowing greens make for a unique, menacing bunch.

I love playing with the mini-army men that Boris has created, and felt inclined to convert them into the pixel world. It was a fun challenge to keep them in scale with the rest of the lineup. They may weigh in under 20 pixels tall, but these sprites pack a punch, proof of great character design.

Keep up the excellent work, B!  -marcus

Boris continues to bring his unique artistic vision into tighter focus with each new release. I've been playing around with this wave for a few weeks and the figures are still on the desk, albeit in various states of beefed up builds.

Banimon is something special, and so is the guy behind it.

Congratulations on another great rollout, Boris! -Matt

New Banimon Tonight!

2-D Design ace and master of all things Banimon, Boris Savic, has prepared a brand new wave of plastic action for release tonight, May 17th at 9PM EST in the Banimon store.

From the Banimon blog:

So as the drop date is approaching, the details are slowly unfolding. As far as toys are concerned, we will have two new colorways: the Revolutionary Guard (Red Army Men faction) and Ghost Troopers (Banigoth faction). Colors are blue with red paint and detail lines, and Glow in the dark with Black paint apps and no detail lines. There will also be some brand-new Banimon content detailing the clash of these two elite units in a fierce battle for Planet Havvacor, and a special, limited-edition t-shirt.

The blue that Boris chose for the Revolutionary Guard is really stunning in hand, and pulls off quite a unique look with the red detail lines in place.  For the Ghost Troopers he selected a high contrast black for the spray applications, and the effect is extremely crisp and completely ominous -especially once the lights go out!

Our crew is very excited to see what Boris unveils tonight!

Keep cranking B!
