Mission Details

This being the 7th anniversary of our tiny little operation, we thought that the occasion deserved something extra special. Well, after years of development and a ton of concentrated work, our family is happy to finally share something long in the making with you... Meet the new vinyl Super Crayboth!

The Super Crayboth started life within the "King" Crayboth conceptual drawings, but gradually evolved into a different part of the Crayboth lore, manifesting as a key element in an underlying story arc involving a shared history with the Voss and the Villser. What if the Crayboth had been preparing all this time for the return of the Villser? What dark past had they survived to claim their new home on the Sporian Planet Alcray? These questions frequently rattle around in my demented head, so I really wanted to start exploring the true history of our resident mini menaces. This anniversary release hopefully gets the ball rolling!

On to the list!

The construction is comprised of 6 separate parts, with the arms and legs using the standard small vinyl fit function and the waist connection debuting a new medium sized fit function, designed specifically to hold a PVC Crayboth in place when stored inside the Super Crayboth body.

Not since their original launch has there been this many versions of Crayboth offered at once! We have been working on this wave for what seems like the entire year, so seeing everything come together after many bumps and some intense turns in the road feels pretty surreal. I keep thinking that we still have to turn the mechanical color guides for this release in, even though I'm holding the final figures and the barn is now stocked!

Leading up to the launch on Sunday night, we'll pop up some posts spotlighting the Super Crayboth with details about its development.

I hope you guys like the newest addition to the Glyos System!

EDIT: I forgot to list the Axis Joints Sets! Too many hours staring at the screen!
Also forgot to post the LIMIT 1 PER EACH STYLE on the Super Crayboth!

LSA Shipping Update

All the orders placed since the launch last Sunday night have shipped. Anything that was placed today will go out first thing Monday morning.

Thank you once again for making the return of the LSA a fun release!

We'll have a special post popping up shortly in regards to the October Toys Skeleton Warriors Kickstarter, spotlighting some more details about Skeleden. Just a few more days to go and the finish line is getting closer!

6.16.2014

Thank You!!!

Thank you for a great rollout last night! We're very excited that the response on the LSA was positive, especially after cooking for such a long time in the production oven! Considering how many cool new things are currently out there, your continued dedication and interest in Glyos absolutely means the world to us.

With these mini releases, the risk is definitely greater, as it costs more to produce the detail lined/extra painted figures. That being said, it's been a ton of fun making them! I've been carrying around an LSA team in my pocket for the last few weeks and I still can't believe they are finally in production. In my mind, this current version of the LSA was resurrected by Elder Exellis to right the many wrongs that the original LSA had done. I look forward to hearing what you guys see them as, and really hope you enjoy them when they land in your hands.

Switching gears for a moment, Marcus and I have been working away on something special that's tied in to the current Skeleton Warriors Kickstarter, spotlighting Dungeon Traveler Skeleden. It takes things in an interesting new direction, with some classic AD&D vibes! Both Marcus and I are also super excited to welcome his twin brother, John Beaudette into the mix as the composer for all of the project's new music! John did a knock out job, and brings a fresh twist to the equation. Keep your eyes peeled for something to pop up here on the blog shortly.

Thank you once again for keeping the engine running! As we head towards our 7th anniversary next month, I keep reflecting on everything that's transpired over the years since we started, and I could not be more grateful for what we've been allowed to do.

We're excited to see what the future holds!

Mission Details

Writing this list brings us closer to completing a long cycle, as a version of this wave was originally supposed to see production back in 2012, during the larger vinyl releases of that time. Multiple factors kept pushing the assortment out, and eventually we put Glyaxia into what seemed like an endless holding pattern. It's 100% thanks to you guys that we now have the ability to bring Glyaxia Command into the fold as it was meant to be- a vinyl infused, Block Based Barrage!

I personally hope you enjoy seeing the return of Glyaxia Command to the ranks, and my fingers are mega crossed that we have better luck with the overall timing than the original Glyaxia assortment back in 2010!

We also want to mention that in the tradition of the original Glyaxia release, we've been working on something special regarding new content, delving back into our roots- but with a little twist.
Get your trigger fingers ready...

We are still on track for this Sunday, May 11th at 9:30PM EST!

There will be purchasing limits on select items:

This round also fills in a few more of the Fisher Price/Micro colors that we have been paying homage to since early last year. The blue hue is very rich and pops like crazy under direct lighting, finding a solid middle ground between the Ecroyex blues from late 2013. Also possessing a visual punch is the new yellow, which tips more towards the golden/Sonesidar range than a simple straight yellow does. When you combine the new Glyaxia yellow with the Sonesidar yellorange, the subtleties make for a pretty neat looking color fusion.

New pics will be popping up as we get closer to Sunday night, and a few small surprises may find their way into the mix to add a little extra fun! Elements of this wave will play directly into our plans for late  July's 7th anniversary assortment, so keep your eyes peeled for possible clues as to what's on the horizon.

The Hades Redux Edition has been bumped back a bit, but is still in motion and will land in either late June or July.

Thanks as always for taking the time to check things out around here, and for surviving another one of these Text Timewarps!

EDIT: I corrected the BELT and SCARF packouts for the Sarvos figures:

-The Yellow Sarvos comes with a BLUE belt and scarf.

-The Blue Sarvos comes with a YELLOW belt and scarf.

My mind was burnt toast this morning!

Sullkren's Path

The limit of ONE ORDER WITHIN THE FIRST HOUR will remain in place. We are seeing a high volume of traffic and need everyone's cooperation to make this as smooth as possible. After the initial dust settles, we will allow customers to place another order. Thanks for your understanding and support. Have fun!

Edit: You may place additional orders and all limits have been lifted. Thanks!

Also note that past releases are still available over at the Buildstation.

New Mini Release

This weekend, on Sunday, March 30th at 9:30PM EST, we will have a Mini Release of a few new figures, along with the restock of Ultra Silver, GITD green and Black Metallic Axis Joint Sets.

This Mini Release will see the return of a couple detail lined figures, in the form of Commander Sullkren MK II, as well as the very first detail lined Dark Traveler. These two figures also have brand new painted areas, some of which make their debut with this round. For the very first time (after nearly 7 years) , Travelers will have full production painted shoulders, shoulder tampos, bottoms of the feet, and fronts of the feet. Coupled with the painted areas on the tops of the hands, these two figures feature the most factory applied paint on a Traveler release to date.

On a related note, the gray colors of the new Sullkren and Dark Traveler are not exact color matches to the 2012 ZED wave, but do fall within the same family.

Also on deck for this Sunday is Argen MK XI, in his Black Metallic "Dark Argen" color selection. This look matches the recent Black Metallic Kabuto Mushi that TGB just released last week.

Last but not least is the Gold Noboto, or "Goldboto". Some of these escaped in the big February shipping process last month, and now the rest of the Goldbotos want to hit the road as well!

A complete detailed list will be up soon (the detail lined figures come with lots of extra parts- much like Hades did last month), but the quick list is:

Commander Sullkren MK II   $12 USD
Dark Traveler  $12 USD
Argen MK XI   $12 USD
Goldboto   $8 USD

I know that this wave comes right on the heels of recent Glyos related releases from TGB and Toyfinity, but sometimes the production schedule lands everything right in a row. We'll see how the response goes, as this Mini Release project is still a work in progress. The next big wave is planned for the end of April (Glyaxia), which we are still on track for. After that we're shooting for very small late May wave, then a restock of the Buildstation in late June.

Having these deluxe versions out and about has been a lot of fun, especially on walks outside. The detail lines add a certain depth of realism to the photo shoots, and remind me a lot of the old days. I've really enjoyed taking location shots as the seasons start to change again.

There is one small item in this release that has been in the works for literally years (like many of our weirdo projects), and it's an all new full production two piece Argen head, shown in the top pics! The original drawing for Argen's new noggin was drafted back in 2011, and evolved over the years as Ralph, Marcus and I worked on Argen's story arc. The final design pays homage to my favorite Marvel villian, Ultron.

Speaking of Ultron, the silver PVC you see in the Argen pics was matched up with the last Ultron figure that Hasbro released a while back. Using that Ultron figure as a color guide, the particular mix that our factory proceeded to pull off came out pretty good. The resulting marbled texture looks like it's made of a trapped iridescent golden light, blended with some extremely intense swirls of vibrant silver pigment. In honor of the source material, we are calling this PVC hue Ultra Silver.

Since old Argen is sporting something new, it only made sense that Hades should receive a kick in the cosmic pants as well. Packed with a variety of extra parts, including a Phase Arm/Gobon Blaster, Hades has been run in Black Metallic, which is a first around here. He has also received some brand new paint applications, making him the most decorated production Hades to date!

We've also brought back the Block (even if it is a traitorous version)! There's been a very satisfying feeling to messing around with some fresh Blocks again. I've missed running those big vinyl assortments. Maybe we'll have to remedy that this year. Perhaps with a Glyaxia Command colored selection?

To wrap up, I wanted to dedicate this new assortment of GITD and silver PVC to the Grand Master, Mel Birnkrant. His classic OSM character, Gamma X, was the inspiration for running these specific types of plastic together, as they are the design foundation of Mel's incredible and timeless Man from the 4th Dimension! You are still the King, Mel!

Thanks for reading this belated weather beaten word scramble! More pics will pop up as we get closer to Sunday!

EDIT: The PVC has also been returned to a softer durometer, for easier building.

Ice Walker 5

Right as the little Ice Walker is wrapping up his journey across the drifts, word of another storm has arrived!

Maybe some new scenes will present themselves for further exploration. I just hope that these potential fresh sets don't involve a collapsed roof in the background.

Ah, snow.

2.09.2014

Ice Walker 4

Around the front of our house we have a small variety of bushes and shrubs that occasionally gets doused by gutter overflow, especially when excess snow and ice finally start to melt.

Today I noticed a crazy icicle structure had formed in an area where some dripping water had fallen upon a particularly stubborn little shrub. This scenario yielded yet another cool natural stage where I could take some more outdoor pics.

2.08.2014

Ice Walker 3

CC built a mini icicle half cavern after asking me to snap the hangers off the house. She turned the frozen spears into a really neat little exploration area!

2.07.2014

Ice Walker 2

Caught a few shots as the sun started to go down, resulting in some extra ghostly effects on the Dark Traveler's form.

2.06.2014

Ice Walker

Even though the shoveling can be monotonous, the snow after a storm is really something to behold.

The recent Stealth Dark Traveler looks right at home out in the cold.
