Battle Tribes: Wave 9

Spy Monkey Creations is set to unleash some fresh mayhem over in their store tonight, October 6th, at 6PM PDT (9PM EDT East Coast)!

This new assortment spotlights some excellent super vivid injected PVC color and crazy paint across the whole wave. Those Old Gods really like to gang up and monopolize those BT bucks around here!

Spy Monkey Creations will be adding some awesome new variations of their latest characters to their store tonight, August 13th, at 6PM PDT (9PM EDT East Coast)!

Battle Tribes: Wave 7

Some major expansions are happening in the Battle Tribes universe tonight!

Make sure to head over to the Spy Monkey Creations store and check out the awesome new characters that Jeremy, Brian and Matt have brought to life! Special shout out to the talented Pat Bussey for his collaborative work with the SMC crew on these all new designs.

This release marks the first part in the cross-company "fantasy" themed month of June.

Battle Tribes: Wave 6

Spy Monkey Creations keeps the Battle Tribes war wagon rolling with their latest assortment, now available over in their store!

The PVC/paint combo on the new Cosmic Guardian Spikesaurian looked great while it waded through the snow melt yesterday, looking for something to club and eat. 

Battle Tribes: Wave 5

We're a little late, but Spy Monkey Creations has some brand new savagery currently available over in their store, just in time to do battle with the latest East Coast snowstorms that have been wreaking havoc around these parts!

The Steel Warrior Cyclops Battle Tribes figure shown above looks particularly fearsome when trudging through the snow and ice covering our backyard. SMC's Jeremy has always been a massive Cyclops fan, and this specific head has some pretty deep connections for him. I remember way back when we first met, Jeremy had some great Cyclops themed custom figures floating around in his backpack, so seeing the legacy of those early days manifest in the BT Cyclops is especially awesome.

Sometimes I think it's easy for folks to forget just how personal these toy lines really are. 

DCon Details 2016

Designer Con is upon us and we're super psyched to invade Pasadena for a third year in a row! The convention runs from Saturday, Nov. 19th 9am - 6pm to Sunday Nov. 20th 10am - 5pm and is located at the Pasadena Convention Center.

Echoing the floor plan from last year, we'll once again be surrounded by our extended family, featuring the united super powers from Tokyo, RealxHead, Studio Uamou, Skull Toys, Punk Drunkers and Goccodo!

The Glyos family will be represented by Marty "Nemesis" Hansen (Kabuto Mushi #1001), John Kent (Toyfinity #1002) Spy Monkey Creations (Battle Tribes #1003), Jesse DeStasio (Knights of the Slice #120), Mark Vasquez (Mystical Warriors of the Ring #1001), Nemo Campisi (Nemo's Factory #1002), Ben Spencer (Galaxxor #1001) and the newest addition to the mayhem, Pat Bussey (Bio-Masters #1001).

Holding down the Glyos compatible 3D printing fort will be the ABS master, Pj Bartlett (Spaced Out Design #1002). Pj has been practically living at the shop over the last few months while refining and building his new selections. Those in attendance will not be disappointed with the results of his latest experiments. He's even printed a few vehicles!

Also showcasing his own range of 3D printed figures in row 1000 will be the architect of the extraordinary Mecha Zone himself, David White (#1005)! David continues to innovate and inspire with both his 3D work and 2D illustrations. A monster talent, indeed.

Deep, deep thanks goes out to Ben Goretsky of 3DRetro for all his hard work this year and for allowing all of us to have the opportunity to come together in such an excellent location. We also want to thank the legendary October Toys for always supporting us throughout the years. We've shared a great decade of friendship together and we look forward to 10 more!

Battle Tribes: Wave 2

Returning from beyond the arena of combat for another night of mayhem, Spy Monkey Creations has a fresh assortment of their new hit figure line, Battle Tribes, ready for action! Be sure to check out their store tonight, July 1st at 9PM EDT!

The mix of colors available for this second wave does not disappoint, drawing inspiration from a number of classic lines and swirling those influences into a top notch round of selections. The DX Livid Dracosaurian and DX Oozarian Warrior (shown above) particularly hit the mark for me, combining just the right balance of crazy 80's maniac color choices with a great series of subtle detailing to bring them to the next level.

Battle Tribes!!!

Jeremy, Brian and Matt over at Spy Monkey Creations are set to release their incredible new fully Glyos compatible fantasy line, Battle Tribes, tonight, April 8th at 9PM EDT in their store.

Watching this line come together behind the scenes has been a true blast, and being able to explore the more savage worlds of sword and sorcery while customizing is mega exciting. I think we've all been waiting for a barbaric expansion like this! SMC has something really special brewing with Battle Tribes, and their plans for the line are already looking bananas.

We think you guys are going to have a ton of fun collecting Battle Tribes as 2016 opens up and more figures start to get out there. These little savages are extremely solid pocket survivors and take to customizing across the range of Glyos compatible lines incredibly well.
