Mercenary Alert

Returning from beyond the void and hot on the heels of the recent Game of Hope show, Jesse Moore and his boys have released an all new wave of Callgrim to wreak havoc on your toy shelves and work desks across the plastic frontier!

This new assortment marks the online debut of the Heavy Armored Order, which is a special "hidden" form of the Sincro Armor Set.

The main goal of  Sincro Armor project was to create a multi-purpose "universal" set that could line up with not only the Sincroborg, but also many of the various molds from across the expanded Glyos catalog -with extra attention paid to its interface with Callgrim.

So as a surprise for Jesse on his birthday a couple of years ago, I hid the Heavy Order "face" behind another glued on outer Sincro styled armor plate, then sent the first test shots up to him as a present to discover. It was a good little bright spot in those uncertain times.

Congratulations to our brother Jesse and his sons on the triumphant return of our favorite mercenary!

Game of Hope 2023

One of the major things we've missed throughout the pandemic was connecting in-person each year with our extended Japanese family. Now, after far too long a pause, we're all able to finally have a reunion, but for the first time right here in New England.

Tomorrow afternoon we'll be in attendance co-hosting the first Game of Hope exhibition to be held at Jesse Moore's Graphic Jam screen printing shop, which also doubles as the official headquarters of Callgrim.

Flying in direct from Tokyo and releasing limited editions of their otherworldly Japanese sofubi will be the superhuman quartet of RealxHead, Uamou, Cord Viper and Goccodo.

Running support for this mini showcase will be the equally incredible Marty "The Godbeast" Hansen, Toyfinity (John Kent), Spaced Out Design (Pj Bartlett) and performing live, Toy Pizza's very own Jesse Destasio and Zed Star Seven! Jesse D will also be promoting his latest campaign to bring another of his childhood characters to life (more on this next week).

In special celebration of the event, Jesse Moore will also be revealing his latest assortment of Callgrim, featuring all new runs of the most notorious bounty hunter in the Glyos System. Jesse will have some surprises pulled from his archives available as well. There's also rumor that some very rare Callgrim sofubi might make an appearance...

The Game of Hope is set to run tomorrow, October 28th from 1-6 PM at the Graphic Jam in Beverly, MA.

Selector Jbo will also be in the house spinning classic tuneage throughout the event. Show starts at 10am and runs til 4pm, if you're in the area swing by to check it out!

Mercenary Alert

Jesse has rolled out an all new wave of Bounty Hunters to wrap up Callgrim's 2015 Star Wars themed releases! He's been talking about an assortment like this since before Callgrim was even in PVC, so producing all the Kenner inspired color selections definitely scratches a long time itch for the Beardlord of Beverly.

Shoot over to the Callgrim shop to see what's cooking. Make sure to also check out Jesse's new Instagram account, which is sure to feature multitudes of creative magic as well as a variety of New England born body horrors.

Awesome wave, Jesse! Love that bike!

Thank You!!!

Thank you for making our 50th wave a good one!

It was really neat to finally run some of the molds in the classic M.U.S.C.L.E. flesh, and the timing seemed right to mark the occasion of our 50th release. I have very fond memories of discovering M.U.S.C.L.E. at our local Zayre department store as a kid, and being crazy about the Robin Mask figure in particular (though I called him "Northern Knight"). I still have my original! To be able to come full circle and produce Pheyden in the iconic flesh hue has been a trip! Some other characters from the ranks may get the flesh treatment in 2016, maybe even some that have never been seen before.

Speaking of trips, we will be attending Designer Con out in Pasadena this weekend, thanks to the dynamic duo at October Toys -the great George and Ayleen Gaspar! This looks to be the most jammed packed DCon yet, with folks traveling from all over the world to showcase what they've been creating throughout the year. We will be set up at Booth 1000, with new stuff available from Jesse (Callgrim), Marcus (Onell/ Bit Figs), Pj (Spaced Out Design), Dominic (Nemo's Factory) and possibly a few surprises as well. A small assortment from Sunday's release will be available at our table, as well as a few random things from the barn.

Fellow Glyos makers Marty (The GodBeast), Mark (Mystical Warriors of the Ring) and Jeremy and Brian (Spy Monkey Creations) will be set up right across from us, featuring some great special releases debuting at the show.

Make sure you check out the amazing array of Japanese Sofubi makers that made the journey from Japan! RealxHead, Studio Uamou, Skull Toys, Punk Drunkers and Goccodo will all be attendance again this year, armed with some excellent new stuff to share.

Of special note, remember to enter the Mecha Zone at booth 813 if you make the show. Incredible left handed illustrator/designer David White will stun you with the figures he's been creating using his 3D printer.

If you're in the Pasadena area or attending the convention, please swing by the booth and say hello! We had an incredibly fun time last year, and getting the chance to catch up with some of you in person was the best.

Thanks again for being part of our 50th wave! We are forever grateful to have the opportunity to continue doing this, and we're always working away behind the scenes to push things into new dimensions -even if we're a little quiet around here sometimes. Multiple projects are right at the threshold of being rolled out that we've been working on for over a year, and we can't wait to share them with you.

Hope to see you in Pasadena!

Super Robots Giant Monsters Show

http://www.collectiondx.com/files/SRGMletter.png
In the midst of the activities happening this weekend, our friends over at Collection DX will be putting on a brand new event called Super Robots Giant Monsters in Lowell, Massachusetts! Falling on Saturday, March 29th, from 11AM -7PM, this special showcase will feature an eclectic group of artists and vendors from all around the Northeast, an Art Exhibit and also a Toy Exhibit -curated by 3D Printing and CAD ace, Sanjeev Selvaraj!

I've personally known Josh over at CDX for a long time, watching him build his website into something very impressive over the years. The amount of effort put into this one of a kind show is another example of Josh's desire to create something unique and exciting, for all of us to participate in and enjoy. It has been an honor for us to be able to help sponsor the event, and we're really looking forward to meeting up with some of you guys in person on Saturday.

We'll have a special area set up for Glyos related stuff featuring our partners in crime:

-Jesse Moore of Callgrim

-Boris Savic of Banimon

-John Kent of Toyfinity

-Pj Bartlett of Spaced Out Design

Should be a fun day, and Josh even has a crazy food truck showing up that we can antagonize throughout the show!

Hope to see you on Saturday!

The Beverly Base

2013 was a quiet year of transition for Callgrim, as Jesse spent the vast majority of his time working like crazy on bringing his newly expanded print shop to life.

Having known Jesse for 20 years, I can easily say that running a printing operation like this is something he's talked about forever, just as much as making toys and drawing comics. Truly a magnitude 10 endeavor.

As Jesse's workload at his new shop continues to remain heavy (business is good!), some alternative plans have been discussed for new Callgrim releases in 2014, potentially revolving around quarterly special releases and an available stock of some new standard versions (similar to our Buildstation). Of course, the gigantic Jumbo Callgrim is on deck to play a central role in all this potential action!

I believe that once Jesse masters his new Millennium Falcon, we'll all be treated to a whole new level of creativity from our favorite Beard Under the Mountain.

Titanic

Head over to the Callgrim Store and check out Jesse's latest mini assortment!

Exellis doesn't seem to know what to make of the whopping blue titan standing in his usual hang out. Jumbo Callgrim is like five Blocks high!

From Below

Jesse is right on track for his 9 PM EST mini (and jumbo) launch tonight!

While taking the pics of the Jumbo Callgrim, it was pretty neat to shoot from angles that are normally not on the menu. Looking up from the very bottom of an Order soldier's foot is something I never thought I'd get to do.

These titans are something else!

Mercenary Alert

Our favorite King Under the Mountain, Jesse Moore, has emerged from his secret location for a surprise launch this Friday, November 8th, at 9PM EST.

The special edition NYCC 2013 Gray Galaxy Callgrim will be available, as well as a handful of the Test Type Jumbo Callgrim vinyl behemoths.

We've missed you, Thorin.

Destination Point

A few pics of the upcoming October wave, from a recent trip up to Gloucester with TGB and his son, Kobe.

Some advanced releases of the above Armorvors will be available in limited quantities at our booth (#102) over the next few days and Jesse has even printed a batch of special shirts to sync up with these particular colors for the show.

Hope to see you guys at NYCC!

Doubled Up

Been extra busy behind the scenes over here, and the old blog has suffered for it. I have some new pics on deck, to hopefully make up for the quiet spell.

Lots of projects that have long been in the works are coming to fruition, and should start to surface over the next few months. Some brand new stuff from us and some brand new stuff from our partner companies. This summer should be pretty wild, at least as far as new Glyos is concerned!

Speaking of new projects, there is something secretly going on with Callgrim that may actually break your brains. Jesse really knows no limits. Be ready for big things.

I recently spent some time playing with Spy Monkey Creation's latest Weaponeers of Monkaa wave and wanted to see if I could put together a convincing Contained Build, using just two complete Weaponeers to make a single character. It is possible to use every single piece, but depending on who you want to represent, a few of the extra heads may be left to the side.

Each time that I build with a Weaponeer, I am really impressed by how big things get with so few parts! It's great having the different aesthetics to choose from, as it pushes the creativity in fresh new directions.

New stuff in the Callgrim STORE is live right now!

There are some crossover colors that match up pretty good with a few of our recent releases from 2012, including Urballim metallic gold, a slightly darker clear Neo Voss and Hades Force! A brand new silver vinyl WARP bike is also waiting for your figures to take a ride on.

Make sure to check the Callgrim blog, where Jesse has whipped up some excellent new paintings that are looking glorious as always!

Happy New Year!

Thank you from everyone here at Onell for sticking with us through 2012. It was a crazier year than usual, I think all over the world.

Here's to a great 2013!

Shipping

Before I get into the shipping details for this week, I wanted to once again express my gratitude to everyone who participated in last week's release. Thank you for all the support that you have shown, especially in response to the last post. You guys are just unbelievably generous, and our family is feeling especially lucky to be doing this with all of you.

The shipping starts tomorrow afternoon and should run right up until I leave for China with Jesse at the end of the week. Michelle, Megan and I have been processing everything and are now in the thick of packing. Notices will begin to appear tomorrow.

Speaking of Jesse, he is still alive! The last few months have been very busy for the bearded beast, but the madman is starting to stir once again. We will both be in attendance at NYCC as per usual, and Jesse may even have something to surprise you with at the show (and wait until you see what he has in development for early 2013-it is totally unexpected yet completely Mr. Moore in every way).

Huge thanks to Gimli for the above illustration of the Hades Force! Jesse can truly make anything look good.

Well, maybe not his beard while he's eating.

Thanks Jesse!
