A Phanosty Release

The new stuff is ready to go! After the mayhem of the last release, we wanted to make sure we covered everything before announcing a definitive drop time, because we suspect we may actually receive a letter bomb this time if we have problems again. Seriously, this wave will be much simpler and smaller and will be going live tomorrow, Saturday June 5th at 3PM EST. Here's the lineup:

Caliber Dome (reconfigured light blue Callgrim) - $10 USD
Onell Design's very first Callgrim crossover release! Thanks Jesse!

Morphisar Conversion Set - $20 USD.
47 parts (includes 1 light blue Callgrim, 2 light blue Phase Arms, 2 light blue Gobon Blasters, 4 light gray clear Wheels, 1 gray Phanost head, 1 light blue Sarvos head, 1 light blue Phanost head, 1 light blue Phanost chest, 1 light blue Phanost pelvis and 1 gray Callgrim head)

Each Morphisar will actually ship in one of 3 formations -DSR Dome, Dome Runner or a Phanost Clone with Roller Pack. This is a major mash up and gets you a ton of special parts in one shot.

General Phanost Custom Corps - $25 USD
Limit 2 per customer (there are a lot less in this wave)
This is a limited run of special hand dyed and built up versions of Phanost that follows his transformation into his new form! The figures will be sold blind bagged. The assortment is split up into 4 basic styles: General Phanost Standard run, General Phanost Altervoth run, Phase Armor MK III Phanost gradient run and a special fourth type that will remain a secret until a little later.

Each figure has a mashup of parts and multiple dye applications (the Phase Armor styles were extra challenging to make). This marks the first time we've crossed parts with Callgrim for a CC release!

The last thing dropping is something that we've been toying around with for some time. It's called the Randomizer, and when you grab something from this new section you will have a chance at getting an older PVC production character from our figure archives! This means that anything we've released up until this point may appear in your order. This has been made possible after doing a big cleaning of the area over here and discovering some oldies but goodies. Plus I'm personally contributing some of my extras so that maybe some of you new guys can have a shot at the older styles without paying too much. To add some extra juice there are also 2 new styles that have never been released before included in this roll out. One of them consists of the parts that would make him the Reverse of the old Andromeda Pheyden released years ago. So we hope there is something for everyone with the Randomizer (a custom will pop up in an order from time to time as well). The Randomizer figures will be sold blind bagged at $8 USD each.

To pull everything together for this mini drop, we will also be adding some new content to the Glyaxia game! More players to choose from and even a secret level to discover. Be on the lookout for a particular skullfaced merc doing some illegal things on that put upon planet, Rilleco.

Speaking of our favorite merc, Callgrim's next big release is looking great and Jesse has been one busy man. The new figure colors are really just awesome and the new artwork is completely on point as always. He's still lining up a definitive drop date and when it does come time, there will be a healthy assortment of fresh product available.

As far as new stuff coming down the road from us, we have a big wave drop around SDCC time and multiple figures with RXH ready to pop up very soon (maybe even this month). Also, the all new vinyl piece is in pre-production and hopefully we'll see something in time for SDCC.
Well, that was a beast of an entry. Thanks for reading such a text mountain!

Founding Figures and Glyoformations

We wanted to bring something special out for the holidays, a little follow up to the recent release. First on deck is the return of a few older figures, and by older we mean from the actual first round of stuff we ever produced! Head over to the Founders section and check out those gritty Travelers and Sincroids. They are made from the older, super hard plastic and have a rougher paint job- but cleaned with some 90% isopropyl alcohol and detail lined they can look like the original releases. We have had a number of requests for these original versions of the characters so we dusted off the secret older stock and have resurrected a few of the founding assortment. As a bonus, these guys come packed in the original boxes that we used to put out. This will be a limited time thing and if you guys like it then maybe we can offer something similar in the future. The price is $4 each, available now. These are very good to customize with and take paint and sanding really well.

The big holiday special has to do with what Marc has been working on - a Passcode Archive (just refresh onelldesign.com/passcode) as well as something we call "Glyoforms". If you ever played with Colorforms then you will have a head start in getting what Glyoforms is about. Marc has put together something super fun and has given you all the keys to the Passcode kingdom. Digital customization! This is just the first version and we have a number of additions that will pop up over the next few weeks. We hope this new content is fun to mess with. Wrapping up, all of us over here want to thank you guys for an incredible year, we went through a lot together and are really looking forward to working on the next phase of this project. Happy Holidays from the Onell team! -Matt

Right On! Holidays are all about nostalgia for me, so I hope you guys enjoy these throwbacks. Thanks so much for all the great feedback on the Passcode series, they are truly a labor of love. The Glyoforms is something that I've toyed with since the first sprite was made, but somehow it took me until 3 days ago to actually start in on it. Have fun clicking around, reveal hidden sprites, make your own Passcode! (proper sound test is coming soon) Be sure to refresh every page, as I am constantly adding, updating, destroying the online world of Glyos... Cheers to a fantastic year and so many great things on the horizon... -Marc

Hammering Away

The last week has been like a comedy, so many things have been thrown at us. The biggest challenge was our main computer deciding that it wanted to give itself a lobotomy in the middle of us finalizing all the orders. Huge thanks to our friend Matthew Higgins for literally saving our computer files and also our sanity. The Custom Corps Dimension Drifters took a little longer to do the extra figures than we had anticipated, but the results should be fun to track down. Orders begin shipping today and will most likely wrap up on Monday. Hope you guys enjoy the new stuff when it starts showing up.

Status Report

Thank you to everyone out there that joined in the mayhem of this "Ayosire" wave! Each time we roll new stuff out, there is always a level of uncertainty, until we are blown away by the response from the amazing group of people that keep us going -all of you. Our deepest gratitude can't come close to measuring how psyched we are that you guys enjoyed the new stuff. It means everything to all of us here at Onell, and to me very personally, that this project makes you all happy and satisfied, and maybe sparks your own creativity to join in on the craziness. Our apologies that the glow Armodoc and Rusty Gobon went too quick, but new versions are coming up soon and that glow Armo will definitely be back. The Dimension Drifters Custom Corps went past the 60 figures pretty quickly, so to make up for the fast turn around on the other stuff I extended the count -to the tune of 102 figures and counting. If anyone wants to grab one of these, it would be good to do it by tomorrow morning, as I can't finish any more than what's now been sold and still get all this stuff shipped this week. Yes, believe it or not, Mr. Lateness has most of this stuff ready to go. Things will start hitting the post this Thursday and Friday via the usual Priority Mail method. Everybody should get their tracking numbers when we do the postage online. Thanks again for everything and for the tremendous turn out, you all are literally the reason we are allowed to continue doing this. Our best to each and every one of you.

Strange Days

A whole month finished and it seems like a slow motion blink. Sorry for the absolute silence on all fronts as of late. Ever since returning from the last trip overseas things have been a little strange around these parts. A basic combination of some personal and professional challenges coupled with putting together a special December surprise have kept things in the shadows this past November. Our apologies for the wait on new information. All that being said, this coming week will see a new release that gets back to basics as far as the main offerings are concerned. Some old friends will be making return appearances, as well as some fresh blood. Armodocs will be available in new colorways and a Gobon may even sneak into the mix... if his rusty joints don't slow him down too much. Hopefully when you guys see what else is in store it will be a strong payoff for your collective patience. Thanks to everyone for bearing with us as we get over our latest round of growing pains. Check out the above sneaks for an idea of what's on deck for next week.

Ready to Roll

The last 2 weeks around here have been a combination of excitement and insanity, with a dash of high anxiety. Thanks to all of you, we had our best roll out of new product in this little company's history. None of us had any idea of what would go down on the first day of release, but a crazy flow of support began at 4 AM EST last Monday and it did not let up in intensity for the rest of the week. We squeaked out a few orders earlier this week, but the majority goes out over the next few days, as we have finally wrapped up packaging, doing QC, and matching everything up. Our deepest thanks go out to everyone who ordered the new stuff, your dedication has once again opened new doors for Onell Design. We are now able to move forward with more projects faster than we had anticipated. All of us here are excited to get cracking on the next generation of Glyos figures, and feel lucky as hell to have the best group of people out there joining us as we evolve. Extra special thanks go out to Dave and Jesse for all their invaluable assistance. One last thing, these last 2 weeks have also driven Marcus to fall of the wagon... well at least he can still type. Thanks again for everything -Matt

REFRESH!

After what seems like forever, we have finally launched a new wave of Glyos figures. Poke around the store (REFRESH EVERY PAGE!) and those areas to your right to track down the latest additions to the crew. You can now power up your collection with all new production Phase Arms and Gobon Blasters that are fun and easy to build with. I also want to take a moment to say a deep thank you to our partner in craziness, Marc Beaudette. Marc put his blood into this update, and his work on the Passcode (and everything else) is truly exceptional. Thanks Marcus, you did real good. We thank you for your patience and hope that you all enjoy the new stuff. Check out the Passcode and make sure to visit Callgrim.com for more Buildman colors selected by the one and only Jesse Moore! Have fun!

Convergence

All of us here would like to personally thank George and Ayleen over at Toy Break for setting up and activating a brand new official Glyos section in their forum. We are beyond lucky to have friends like these two. Head over to www.octobertoys.com/forum, take a minute to register, then join up for what should be a lot of fun and an easy way to communicate with each other. George and Ayleen, thanks again for dragging us cavemen into the modern world!

Go! Figure and the RocketTubes

Our friends over at Go! Figure recently had a chat with us about the state of affairs here in the Glyos System. Big thanks to Ebonhorn for putting together some original questions and being someone who has truly supported us since we started this craziness. We also wanted to shine a light on Microbry's RocketTubes for his in depth review of Buildman Ranic. Thanks for the solid feedback Bry, it's greatly appreciated. One last note, the custom wave is super close, just have a few more guys to finish up....

The Classifieds

It has been one insane last month. We attended NYCC then set up at Toy Fair one week after that. Got to finally meet some of you guys in person (Roy, Nate, Ray, Chris, Phil and Con just to name a few)! Saw all our New York friends and family and had some funny adventures in that amazing city. After a week of catching up we are ready to start on the road to SDCC this summer. To get things kicked off for March the store (remember to refresh) will be getting the mysterious Wave 5 of Pheyden and Exellis in individual and set options. The Craywave special is also back as well. Thanks to all of you, Buildman sold well (and out) with new colors on the horizon. The Phase Arm/Gobon Blasters are very close to shipping. Some more Sucklord crossover action is also on deck as well as a collaboration with the painting genius that is Matt Walker of Dead Presidents. Been thinking about doing a special run of hand cast Govurom heads using the new chest (with the extra hole in the back) and custom parts. Maybe a Warp Zone thing. Speaking of Warp Zones, our resident 8-bit artist and Passcode programming machine, Marcus, has whipped up another challenge over to your right. Who is that big Armodoc guy? And where the hell is Gobon? Soon the assortment will be complete. On one final note I wanted to personally thank the infamous Doctor Kent for putting together the Fans Of Pheyden blog. It is beyond humbling to see the amount of effort that the Doc has put into his collection and his archiving of the Glyos line. John, you are an actual mad scientist and I love your take on the figures and their worlds. And finally, a gigantic thanks goes out to all you guys that keep this engine rolling with your awesome support, you all allow us the chance to continue following this path.

Eighty to Four

Jesse Moore and I were recently lucky enough to participate in the special artist's sketch card sub-series for the next round of Star Wars collector cards from Topps. I did four, the animal Jesse did about eighty. Big thanks to the Sucklord for the hook up and Dave Waldeck at Topps for the cool project. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for a ton of other artists from our community appearing in this set.

The Junk Shop

This should be kind of a fun option for building up piles of parts. Over the past year and a bit we have been through all kinds of crazy toy producing experiences with the Glyos line. The first figures we had produced showed up covered in nasty, sloppy paint and we had to hand clean thousands of them. It truly sucked. The second round was much better, but still had some paint adhesion issues. So again, we cleaned and fixed everything we sent out to you guys. This is the major reason for long lags in getting orders out. The last few batches got even better, but STILL were not dead on. It took me traveling to China and actually working with the factory -on the assembly line- to finally get things right. The upcoming Buildman (believe it or not he really is almost here) is geared to be our best figure yet. The point of this entry is to bring attention to something new we want to try. As we continue to try to bring the quality even higher and the price even lower, we want to offer everyone a chance at the rather significant pile of figures that did not quite cut the mustard as far as paint and finish go. I call these misfit figures the orphans of the Glyos System. All the parts are totally functional and molded great, they just have kind of uneven final paint syndrome (like when a GI Joe has bad eye paint, but not as overall rough looking as the new Indy figures). Offering these figures at a big discount will make it easier to amass extra building parts at a lower cost. Since part of the Glyos fun is customizing and eventually building bigger stuff, grabbing parts for as cheap as possible is key. Check out the Junk Shop and let us know what you think. All the figures will ship in totally random configurations, but rest assured that every so often something "non junky" will slip into the mix when these little misfits make their way to your homes. Thanks as always to everyone for making this project worth absolutely every long night, we really appreciate the chance to do this together with all of you.

MechaSucker

The Sucklord is up to his old tricks and has assembled an arsenal of artists to customize his insane vinyl figure, the Sucklord 600. We turned our version in late, but added some extra juice to bring Sucklord into the Glyos System. Jesse did a killer job on the card art and really brought the whole set together. If you are in the Los Angeles area, go check out what is sure be an awesome show at Munky King on October 30th. Big thanks to the Sucklord!!!

Warp In

New figures have been added to the store, including the long awaited Sarvos, along with the Craywave colorways. Special Edition versions of the latest figures just might be in a certain area to the right of the screen. Search around for some extra treats. The Wave 5 colorways will be popping up for individual purchase in the store early next week. Working hard to get Buildman and the rest of the new stuff ready to go as fast as possible. Huge thanks to everybody for their patience and support!
