Mission Details
The timing of this winter blast falls in perfect harmony with our new wave of figures, which centers around Search Corps Ankram, a small team of specialists sent to Planet Nemica to analyze the lasting effects of the Bio Paralyzer that was used by Planet Metran to end the Old War. What one of the Searchers stumbles upon beneath the frozen wasteland reveals the ruins of a lost civilization that perhaps even the Elder Delphi were unaware of ...

Bringers of the Cold
We are on track for a smaller release landing next Sunday, February 22nd at 9:30 PM EST. The Neo Granthans will be making an appearance in the assortment, as long as the endless snow doesn't swallow our town completely before the launch.

Thank You!!!
Thank you for a great start to 2015! It was awesome seeing some old names come up in the mix during the launch.
I will attempt to keep this brief (right), as we are currently in the middle of a historic blizzard up here in New England and my shoveling/plowing duties are in overdrive.
The debut of the new production Neo Granthan head is something that has been in the works for about a year (like many of the projects here as of late). Finally being able to handle a full production piece, as well as spend some time looking at it through the camera lens has been a strange experience, mainly because this small addition to the ranks has a pretty deep significance within the development of Glyos. I have been drawing and working on the stories for the Granthans since way back in the early days of Rechlen and Aves, and the location of the planet Granthan has been a pivotal story point for many of the events that have transpired in our long running loose narrative (check out the Passcode section to your right).
The LSA battled Govurom there.
Govurom was defeated by Infiltrator Argen there.
Argen was freed by Pheyden there.
The Armodocs were created by Viyer there.
The Massacre on Granthan occurred there.
Agent Nemica became Hades there.
As the stories came together over the years, Marc, Jesse and I talked about eventually spotlighting the inhabitants of planet Granthan, and their role in the larger scheme of things. This was further explored when Marty and I collaborated on the first version of the Granthan head, which Marty sculpted, cast and still offers through his site.
These twists and turns have all arrived at the Neo Granthan version of the Armorvor. I'll expound on the reasoning for the updated look, partial head armor (fires a "Primal Ray") and color choices later, but each aspect has specific thought put behind the final appearance.
I hope that when these new figures land in your hands they spark the imagination and make you smile.
Now, I'm off to shovel.
Again.
Shipping updates will pop up as we dig out of this Snowzone throughout the week!

Mini Mission Details
It's a tiny one:
Lost Sincroid Army
Lost Sincroid Army -Standard (Green/ Pale Yellow/ Dark Green painted limbs/detail lines/ painted eyes/ removable belt/ small scarf/ Elder Exellis head/ Dark Traveler Head/ Dark Traveler scarf) $10
Lost Sincroid Army -Granthan Corps (Pale Yellow/ Orange/ Black painted head/detail lines/ painted eyes/ removable belt/ small scarf/ Black painted Elder Exellis head/ Pale Yellow Dark Traveler Head/ Pale Yellow Dark Traveler scarf/ Extra paint accents) $12
???? -$12
This small wave has been something that I've dreamed about for many years. The colors are strange and the characters are odd, but these Sincroids mean a lot to us over here.
I could only ever dream of being able to play with an actual battalion of LSA, back when I was working on Rechlen and Aves almost a decade ago.
The paint work on these new LSA figures is some of the tightest to come out of our factory yet, and we even tried a few new things for these editions. Extra paint has been used in areas that we normally do not paint, such as the Standard LSA arms and thighs as well as the strange black heads on the Granthan Corps LSA. It took quite some time to finish up this order, and multiple revisions and tweaks happened all along the way. We'll delve more into that in the coming weeks.
Thank you for allowing us to finally put in this piece of our weirdo puzzle!

Happy Easter!
Happy Easter! Michelle, Cady, CC and I hope you and your families have a great day (the mayhem started here at 5AM)!
Things have been pretty quiet here on the blog for the past few weeks, due to some major hours being logged in up at the shop, coupled with preparing for the next wave of stuff centering around the return of Glyaxia. Hopefully when everything comes into clearer focus, you will enjoy what you see.
Speaking of the next round, the tentative release date has been scheduled for Sunday, May 4th at 9:30PM EST. Production of the new Glyaxia order has taken a bit, as extra time was required to nail the fit and finish on all the stuff. It's been a while since we've run so much vinyl, so a few things had to be pulled off the shelf and reactivated to produce everything that we wanted to fit into this assortment.
The timing bump to May also effectively ends the monthly release schedule for 2014, which in light of the heavy frequency of offerings from across the boards, may not be such a bad thing. Some months may run in succession again, but the space between the big and little waves will spread out some more. It was fun to push the envelope, but the accompanying risk of overload has been clearly illustrated and we're tweaking the plan to keep the ship on track.
Thank you for all the feedback so far this year, your individual opinions really do make a difference and we take everything into consideration as each decision is made around here.
Pics of the new selections will start to filter in this week, along with a few sneaks from the latest projects being worked on at the shop!

The Granthans: Part 3
This set of images further explores the modern Granthans and their integration into the Armorvor design principles:
After their victory on Planet Volkria, the Armorvors begin to move across the Glyos System, not just on a path of vengeance and destruction, but also on a mission to forge alliances with those that would join them. The first to stand with the powerful Armorvors are the battered and forgotten creatures known as the Granthans.
Long ago, The Granthans escaped from a dark empire somewhere beyond the Edge of Space, creating a new home in the Glyos System and eventually settling on a lonely planet they named Granthan, in honor of their new found independence.
In time, however, their freedom was challenged by the First Travelers, a race known as the Delphi. Acting on orders from their Masters, the Delphi forced the Granthans into the deep caverns of the planet, crippling their technology and throwing them into a primitive existence below the surface.
This action doomed the Granthans to live only within the planet's shimmering underworld, away from the promise of a brighter tomorrow.
Until now.
With the aid of the Armorvors, the Granthans finally rise up to reclaim their world after so many oppressed generations.
I imagine that the Armorvors and the Granthans share an extreme distaste for the Delphi and anything Traveler related. This common enemy bonds the two races, as they exchange technology and tactics in an effort to fortify their newly forged alliance.
Dogs and Dinos unite!
PS- The armored heads shown above are currently being mulled over by Marty, Jason and I for possible sculpting. Hopefully you guys enjoy some of the designs. They were fun to work on!

The Granthans: Part Two
The above images are circa 2004-2005, and show what the original "Grathan" looked like. I was obsessed with space dinosaurs (I still am) and wanted to build up a new set of characters for Rechlen and Aves to face. I imagined the dimension that these creatures escaped from was called Grath.

The Granthans
I imagined that these tough customers escaped from another dimension (shades of the Armorvors), discovered a planet in the Glyos System and then settled there. They named the planet Granthan, after their race.
While working on the Armorvor project, Marty, Jason and I collaborated on a number of head designs. One character that I really wanted to see realized as a sculpt was a Granthan. For the specific look, we went with the non feathered style (there are variations within the Granthan species), representing instead a more classic "dino" aesthetic. The Armorvor body type was a great match (even though the original "Grathans" has tails), and Marty did not hold back on the jumbo sized noggin's dimensions! The final result is one my favorite sculpts that Marty has ever created.
The above sketches detail the conceptual process, showing the direction that we ended up taking for the overall vibe of the final piece.
More Granthan action later today!
