Callgrim

A sneak peek at the sculpt for Callgrim from Gear's Edge. The core design of Callgrim was done by artist Jesse Moore and his 9 year old son Ciaran. Ciaran was actually only 5 when he first sketched him. Imagine what he will do as he gets older... The figure was hand cast in urethane and painted with Tamiya colors by dry brush technique then wiped. The cape is from old dirty socks. Really.

  1. Looking very good, captures the character very well. He's begging for some weapons though!

  2. Needs his shooters, although can you mass-produce old socks? That calls for a heck of a time frame between production runs... lol

This is a real evocative figure

  4. I have to say that after reading both books I am thoroughly impressed with just how in depth every little detail is with this story line. Every single character has a back story. Even the back stories have back stories. I have been left drooling for more!!

  5. Matt hears it from me all the time about what an incredible artist he is but I just wanted to take a moment and acknowledge Jesse as well. His artwork in the Gears Edge books is absolutely mind blowing!!

  6. I look at this Callgrim & compare it to 2009 design of the character, and it's so different. Will we ever see this design on Callgrim in the future? o_O?
