Back On Track

Thank you to everybody who sent their good vibes our way after the storm. Compared to what NYC and Jersey went through (and are still going through), we were very, very lucky. After some serious clean up work (chainsaw assault) and multiple visits from the electric company, phone company, cable company, local electrician and the all purpose Chris Coxen, the daily activity has just about returned to normal.

The plan is still to release new stuff at the very end of this month (November). At the moment, it looks as though Friday, November 30th will be the day we go live, at the usual 9:30 PM EST. A new product list will be going up soon, just need to verify a couple last details with our team overseas before that happens. Hopefully this drop will round out 2012 in a fun way, at least in relation to little plastic aliens.

I've been drawing like a fiend for multiple projects, working at our dining room table so I can hang around with the kids at the same time. CC seems to be really getting into using markers, as well as telling little stories through her doodles. Michelle taught Cady how to operate the sewing machine, and now Cady has one of her own to use. I can't believe she is able to make her own plush creature from start to finish now. Looks like creative strangeness truly runs in the family around here.

Now that Sandy has come and gone, I keep thinking about the night that everything started falling down, right at the height of Sandy's wind attack. Michelle believes that I might have been warped a bit from seeing nature go on a rampage to such a wild level, and maybe she's right. That being said, I also feel like being in that storm made me even more aware of how lucky we all are.

Alright, enough of my pseudo philosophical crud. Back to the fun stuff!

  1. I got a bit tingly looking at those teasers. Looks like some new PVC is definitely on deck. :)

    1. New PVC is in development, and should debut in late January.

There will be something fresh at the end of this month though, just not in the PVC department!

  2. Glad to hear everything is back on track. Sounds like the kids are following in your footsteps, that's cool.

    1. Thanks Keith! I love drawing with the crew over here. The kids really keep Michelle and I on our toes.

  3. Glad everything is ok with no major damage. We lost power for a week with no generator (next time!!), but we have a fire place and a dog. I didn have some fun with the glow Armorvor and my flashlight though!

    1. Thanks Tim! Our flashlights got abused for about a week as well. We did have the generator running off and on, ripping through fuel like crazy. My clothes still smell like a diesel graveyard!

  4. The 4th pic looks like an Armored Delphi head to me. Am I close?

    1. Not Delphi. Those two darker pictures are of something a little bit bigger.

  5. Do we get a sneak at the new Delphi soon? ;) Glad to hear everything is okay with y'all. Also here the genes live on!

    1. The spotlight will be turned on the new Delphi development in December, with a few sneaks sprinkled throughout November.

Also working on completing a few projects that have been on the back burner for years.

    1. You've been eating your mind reading flakes. The LSA is indeed in the works. I know you won't believe it until you're holding one though! HA!
      I don't blame you.

2013 will see small tweaks to many existing molds, as well as the all new projects moving along. This November Wave may be the last time some of these molds are produced with all of the original parts.

    2. Good to hear that the LSA project is still moving forward. Does that mean other plans involving making fewer "dead-end" parts are in the works still? Not to mention the possibility of limb sets...

    3. I mean no offenses. And you know I love it all. Even all the little things you do for us. I pretty much quit everything but glyos and it's family (OSM, WoM, etc). The line and it's family now is all I put my money into. Only thing worth it and deserving of it. Thanks! Can't wait to see what all 2013 will have in store for us. And I will believe it when I see it on the blog. Then I can't wait to hold it. Also, with this blog post, you're officially the Glyo-Troll. ;P

    4. I'm just busting your chops! Your opinions and thoughts are very important to me, and I love seeing what you have to say, even if it's a criticism. It keeps me on my toes!

Just always be yourself. This is OUR (meaning you, me and anyone else who joins the party) joint toy line, and I try to pay attention to everything you guys have to say, it truly matters to all of us over here (especially me) what is on your mind.

Thanks for always supporting what we do, it's why we can even have these conversations, because you make it possible for us to dedicate everything into making this work.

Oh, and I am a bit of a troll. A diesel covered, bearded and uselessly tall troll.

    5. Damn. I never meant to be critical in any way nor have I ever had ill thoughts towards you or your work. You know i love every bit of it. I feel pretty bad as I never meant to come across that way. I apologize for any times I may have come across like that. Was never my intentions. Sorry about that. My words don't work well. Just know I was never meaning to be insulting. Can we still be friends? ;)

  7. Great drawings as always. Stoked for the new vinyl(unless there's a new third material in the making!).

I think my favorite design is the one labled "outer side, outer back" ... suggesting that it HAS AN INTERIOR OF SOME KIND?! Looks almost like it could be a council chair or a command hub or something.

Glad to see that the storm didn't deter creativity, and of course that the chickens made it out okay!

As always keep up the great work, I'm looking forward to whatever comes next :)

  9. Looks like revisions to the Armodoc mold to me or maybe an all new creation. I remember some pics over a year ago may even two that these teasers remind mr of. I'll have to go looking. Something in the original story slips that the figures used to come with. Can't wait to see what it is. Glad everyone is safe and things are returning to normal for you. Thanks Matt!!!

  12. Hello, new to the Glyos community. Love what you're doing, thanks for the teases...can't wait for the next drop!

  13. I'll be chompin' at the bit here in RI! These teasers certainly have me excited. More so than I already was!

Glad to hear you and the family fared well throughout Sandy, well wishes to all of you.

  14. Sorry I stole all of your Friday, but thank you (and Jesse!) for taking the day to seek out toys and eat the wrong foods.

  15. Appears to be a new neck piece for the Armodoc!?

  16. Gorgeous colors on those drawings!

  17. Matt, as always your teasers get me itchy-er than a crackhead who's dealer goes on vacation! There are few other individuals on the planet who can inspire so much "WHAT IS THAT!?!?!?!? I NEEEEEEEED IT!" with just marker on white pages.

Keep it up man, I look forward to this'n!

  18. Woot new stuff! :-D

I'm liking everything I see in that 1st picture, from the colors to what I can make of the designs. REALLY liking that green & green drawing, but you know me I love green LoL.

Not sure what everything else could be either. I always like these Teaser pictures before the release; I always look at the product after the teaser images are replaced with full-reveal ones and my response is always "Hmm. That was not at ALL what I thought it was.". Can't wait for the drop, it'll be a delayed birthday surprise for me. ^_^

Hope you guys did alright in that Nor-Easter we got slammed with on TOP of Sandy; Long Island STILL isn't back to 100% yet & it's been roughly 2 weeks now.

Keep on truckin' brother & we'll talk soon!

  20. I'm personally hoping the Repoclaimer is still in mind for one of these days.
Though I'm mostly hoping those dark TFV Hub Sets stay "Low Stock" so I can snag two and a matching Phaseon come the 30th!
