Titanic Intentions
I've been watching the creative process of this new "Titan" Mushi unfold since back in 2011, when Marty first started working through the early stages of the Titan's development (as well the first runs of our collaborative Bio Jumpers project and the original Kabuto Mushi concepts). Initially, the sculpt was quite a bit larger than the one you see above, sporting a massive horn and a very stout body. Through a series of revisions, the dimensions started to change, resulting in a couple variations to the overall design. With each passing year, the core aspects of the Titan would alter a little bit, leading up to a heavy round of joint concept work in mid/late 2014 (some of it shown above) that resulted in a more concrete basic look.
It was around this time that Marty began sculpting his new monstrosity, spending weeks working out the details and attempting to incorporate a "folding" mechanic he came up with that would allow the Titan to transform into a quadrupedal form. Many hours were spent pushing the lines and tightening the look of the overall figure, and at DCon 2014 Marty delivered a resin cast Titan to me in person for final review.
It took nearly a year from that point for the Titan to hit the production phase, due to the wonders of timing as well as a number of technical issues that we had never faced at our factory before on a vinyl project. Marty, being a maniac, decided to disregard the specific limitations that I had given him for when he was building the Mushi, resulting in some big challenges to overcome.
There were three main no-no points that were supposed to be avoided:
-No T-Crotch.
-No hard right angles.
-No extremely small protruding design elements.
The Titan Mushi master, of course, had all three of these to the maximum degree!
It took some doing to bring everything together, but thanks to our factory engineers and an intense reworking of the Titan resin master while I was recently visiting them, we managed to make it work. I personally sculpted and sanded on that little bugger for about 30 hours inside my hotel room during the stay in Dongguan. Jesse was inhaling resin dust while he slept! Luckily, he's nearly indestructible.
To see Marty's Titan Mushi come to life after all the back and forth over the years is a really satisfying thing, and even though it was tough to pull off, I'm happy that Marty pushed the limits of what we could do in rotocast vinyl production. The resulting figure stands (or crawls) with a look all its own.
It was an honor to collaborate with Marty on his latest character, and I'm looking forward to seeing what folks do when they get their hands on this latest addition to the Glyos family.
Congratulations Marty, from the whole Onell crew!

Thank You!!!
What a whirlwind! Thank you for closing out a wild year with a bang! We hope you guys had some fun.
I'll save my usual long winded pile of paragraphs for another post, and attempt to keep this entry short and sweet.
Michelle, Marc and I just want to truly say that we are more thankful than ever for getting the chance to travel through this thing we call Glyos with each one of you. Even after all these years we still have a deep passion for what we do, and we're really excited to push forward into 2016 with some new twists and turns. As always, this is only allowed to happen because of you.
Now, we're going to see Star Wars.
Packages will start hitting the post tomorrow!

A Villser Core
As time wore on, Argen could feel the deepening effects of the Villser Virus on his being, reaching down into the very core of his programming, changing everything from within. He was becoming smarter, stronger and faster with every passing day, but a growing darkness was also taking hold.
Following each evolution, more access to the Villser's ancient collective knowledge was granted, along with an insatiable hunger for even greater cosmic awareness. This powerful drive pushed Argen to track down and access the Sendollest Buildstation database, delving further into the secret history of the Buildman Project and the deadly abominations that were created in the name of victory against the Villser threat.
Through a series of cyber-synaptic connections, Argen learned that his original design was actually patterned after the great enemy of Glyos itself, thus revealing that the Buildman Project had been directly based on the genetic blueprint of the Villser Virus all along.
Upon discovering the truth behind his own creation, Argen finally accepted the Villser Virus that existed within.
Argen's Gendrone Empire, it seemed, was always destined to possess a Villser Core.

Netherworlds
Just as he began to make his final journey, the beaten Traveler suddenly awoke on a strange new world, surrounded by extraordinary wildlife and a vast ocean. Hades had been teleported to the Planet Sollnoria, saved by the Varteryx for reasons that would soon become clear.
Dawn of the Varteryx
Soon after breaking the chains of servitude to their god-like creators, the Delphi set in motion a plan to engineer a new generation of beings that might one day stand with them against the dark forces of the ever growing Glyos System.
Traveling through the records of time and space, the Delphi searched for naturally occurring lifeforms that they could help elevate to higher planes of existence, all the while being feverishly pursued by the dogged agents of their former masters.
During a mission to the distant and aqueous world of Sollnoria, the Delphi discovered an avian race of beings that inhabited one of the largest islands on the planet. These noble yet primitive animals seemed to act as guardians to the various smaller creatures dwelling within the large jungle located at the center of the island. After a careful and prolonged observation it was decided that this species, now named the Varteryx by their celestial benefactors, would serve as the foundation for one of the most ambitious evolutionary experiments in the history of the Delphi.

Glyarmor Engage!
However, not all the children of the Delphi wish for war and conquest. From a glimmering star far beyond reach, emissaries from a mysterious race called the Varteryx appear before Glyaxia Command, led to the Capital Planet Metran by the enigmatic Traveler know as Hades. Benevolent creatures not unlike their creators, the Varteryx share their advanced discoveries with Glyaxia Command in an effort to balance the scales against their aggressive brethren, the Armorvors and Neo Granthans.
Joining forces with the most advanced thinkers on Metran, the Varteryx and Glyaxia Command unite to create the Glyarmor aboard Hades' Block Base Cerberus. Greatly augmenting a user's natural abilities through a psychic fusion to the armor itself, the Glyarmor also serves as a direct countermeasure to Black Core technology.
Employed by the Elite Enforcer Units of Glyaxia Command, select Travelers meld with the newly developed Glyarmor to evolve into a previously unseen Neo Sarvos form.
Now with a small measure of hope restored and a reforged resolve, a battle-worn Glyaxia Command slowly rises to settle the score.
Dark Spectre
In the spirit of our more enigmatic early years, there will be no list for tonight's release. That being said, we will have a steady stream of preview images popping up here on the blog throughout the day!
The lists will return in 2016, but we want tonight to be a little different.

Mercenary Alert
Jesse has rolled out an all new wave of Bounty Hunters to wrap up Callgrim's 2015 Star Wars themed releases! He's been talking about an assortment like this since before Callgrim was even in PVC, so producing all the Kenner inspired color selections definitely scratches a long time itch for the Beardlord of Beverly.
Shoot over to the Callgrim shop to see what's cooking. Make sure to also check out Jesse's new Instagram account, which is sure to feature multitudes of creative magic as well as a variety of New England born body horrors.
Awesome wave, Jesse! Love that bike!

Thank You!!!
Thank you for making our 50th wave a good one!
It was really neat to finally run some of the molds in the classic M.U.S.C.L.E. flesh, and the timing seemed right to mark the occasion of our 50th release. I have very fond memories of discovering M.U.S.C.L.E. at our local Zayre department store as a kid, and being crazy about the Robin Mask figure in particular (though I called him "Northern Knight"). I still have my original! To be able to come full circle and produce Pheyden in the iconic flesh hue has been a trip! Some other characters from the ranks may get the flesh treatment in 2016, maybe even some that have never been seen before.
Speaking of trips, we will be attending Designer Con out in Pasadena this weekend, thanks to the dynamic duo at October Toys -the great George and Ayleen Gaspar! This looks to be the most jammed packed DCon yet, with folks traveling from all over the world to showcase what they've been creating throughout the year. We will be set up at Booth 1000, with new stuff available from Jesse (Callgrim), Marcus (Onell/ Bit Figs), Pj (Spaced Out Design), Dominic (Nemo's Factory) and possibly a few surprises as well. A small assortment from Sunday's release will be available at our table, as well as a few random things from the barn.
Fellow Glyos makers Marty (The GodBeast), Mark (Mystical Warriors of the Ring) and Jeremy and Brian (Spy Monkey Creations) will be set up right across from us, featuring some great special releases debuting at the show.
Make sure you check out the amazing array of Japanese Sofubi makers that made the journey from Japan! RealxHead, Studio Uamou, Skull Toys, Punk Drunkers and Goccodo will all be attendance again this year, armed with some excellent new stuff to share.
Of special note, remember to enter the Mecha Zone at booth 813 if you make the show. Incredible left handed illustrator/designer David White will stun you with the figures he's been creating using his 3D printer.
If you're in the Pasadena area or attending the convention, please swing by the booth and say hello! We had an incredibly fun time last year, and getting the chance to catch up with some of you in person was the best.
Thanks again for being part of our 50th wave! We are forever grateful to have the opportunity to continue doing this, and we're always working away behind the scenes to push things into new dimensions -even if we're a little quiet around here sometimes. Multiple projects are right at the threshold of being rolled out that we've been working on for over a year, and we can't wait to share them with you.
Hope to see you in Pasadena!

In Exile
It's been fun pushing the Noboto colors in different directions, and the edition shown above matches up closely with the recent Standard Pheyden MK V.
Sunday night will also see the return of the Neo Granthan Armorvor, in a color scheme you Battle Beasts fans out there might get a kick out of. It's going to be "gruesome".
More pics and the short list are on deck!

Union Emissary
The central idea of Union revolved around a secret war between 3 alien factions, and their collective ties to the development of mankind throughout history. Everything from Area 51, ancient civilizations, cryptozoology, bionic soldiers and a colony of enslaved hybrid manhunters imprisoned within a massive space station on the edge of an artificial black hole made it into the mix (I was just as bananas back then).
Throughout my college years I worked on different elements of the story, creating various illustrations (a couple are shown in this post) and bursts of text in the margins of my school notes. Eventually other stories moved into focus, but a few aesthetic ideas from Union survived and were reborn, showing up in Rechlen and Aves and beyond. Since I was fond of the leather armored "Warrior Grays" from Union, I decided to have any classic looking Gray alien type that might show up in the Glyos System resemble those old designs a bit.
Eventually I ended up sculpting the oddball alien in the pics above, a character that was based on the old Union designs. The body is a series of twist ties, with plumber's compound built over them. Kind of a mini vintage OSM construction with some pretty rough sculpting. This little guy was given to Michelle for Christmas around 2002-2003 (I built my first sculpted-over twist tie guy in early 1999).
The recent secret mode Exile Deniken from our last release pays homage to the Warrior Grays from the original Union story, as well as the original twist tie "Deniken" that's shown above.
Be on the lookout for some other color variations of the Noboto mold that take the core design for a similar "alien" spin.
Maybe even this week.
