  1. Oooooooo! Can't wait to see what's in store!

  2. One of these almost looks metallic or transparent, while the other is reminiscent of our old EMD friends. Either way, nice contrasting colors!

    1. That may just be a clear "raspberry" (the result of more experimenting in the same vein as the clear cranberry Xycoss), with some bubblegum accents.

We've been testing out a small variety of new clear hues that vibe with the Voss, Revenant and Xycoss production runs. Alternative clear color selections that weave between the traditional ROYGBIV field.

The orange serves as an accent on another set of figures in this wave, with callbacks to more than one old team. Hopefully long time collectors will enjoy the subtle connections when they pop up.

    2. I am so excited to see this raspberry colorway.

    3. It's yet another unique color that plays with the light in am interesting way. Looks especially neat when you cycle it across a fixed light source and notice the drastic change the PVC displays through the process.

This assortment was designed to be photographed on the "Villser" set from last year, but with a new paint job to reflect the evolving nature of the Villser Biovessel (a craft the Villser "inherited" after a critical event with their creators, the Voss). Been editing like crazy to get things looking right!

    1. Those Armorvors are still on that lengthy mission, but they will return this year.

    2. The true question - Armorvors with the classic wolf-like heads?

      Delete
    3. I’m with you, Eric, the Armorvor struggle is real.

  4. I'm guessing Mordireus Villser from the second logo/color... Same shapes as the tampo on Villden, except solid this time.

Will we see another Mystery Figure this round?

    1. No Mordireus in this wave, but we will have a new clear tint/ painted combo that will be featured across a few molds (one will come configured in a special build).

We will absolutely have another mystery figure available on Sunday, following right along with the ongoing AP Space theme (we're almost through the classic assortment, just a couple more to go).

  5. Some of those purple and pink mixes bring to mind Naspoth Sarvos, which is one of my favorites. Interested to see how this shakes out, it feels like Villser's not done corrupting...

    1. It's really interesting that the colors pink and purple and their variations evoke an "alien" feeling, especially when they are so commonly used in lines that are primarily aimed at the "girls" toy market.

For me, the shining example of the pink/purple variation space combo is Scorpio from Major Matt Mason, complete with its bright green chest harness blaster. This weirdo in particular seemed to serve as a precursor to so many of the stuffed aliens that still infest claw machines all over the world. Sure, there's been a ton of little green men in pop culture, but old Scorpio was a pretty early example of a truly realized pink/purple alien.

Oh yeah, and the Villser are most definitely in recruitment mode.

    2. More Pinks and Purples! Will we ever get a pink as hot as that first gatekeeper release?

      Delete
    3. We'll revisit that bright set of pinks and purples again, no doubt. They were both technically "Neon" PMS colors on the original Gatekeeper production run.

    4. Excellent! Always fun to see what you do. Thanks Matt!

  6. Um um um that pink makes me think of the Dimension Drifter Phanost from last year.....

  7. Very intrigued by the final symbol, almost like an egg cracking open, or perhaps a ball like creature unfurling (like an armadillo). Could this wave spell the beginning of something new to the Villser? A transformation or disguise of sorts?

    1. After the events of the Xenodeth Outbreak on Point Cerrek and Planet Esedeth, the Villser started to focus on one unique Gendrone that they encountered during their intense battle with Task Force Volkriun.

If Argen won't join them, perhaps another powerful Buildman will...

    2. So even though Cinar was designed to be unable to access the some of the more "Dangerous" information from Argen's core matrix, like his relationship with Axis tech and the Villser...A.I. finds a way...

I love this re-occurring theme of artificial intelligence, about sentience, and Argen's true role in the Glyoverse. He truly was meant for more...

    3. The concept of a mechanically based lifeform evolving into an all new type of being has been kind of an obsession since I was kid. An entity made of "transcendent bio-alloy" maybe?

  8. This will be the first of many drops where I cannot partake

  9. It just occurred to me, the final symbol looks like a combination of the Glyaxia symbol and the Villser symbol. The title of this post is also "internal struggle..." Could we be seeing some Villser defectors?!

  10. Could the Dark Travelers finally be embracing the burning call of their twisted genetics? :O

    1. Or maybe another denizen of Glyos has heard the call...

  11. Any chance of the 2012 lost project Villser coming to fruition? Love to see that large creature come to life.

    1. Would love to bring the older, more "primitive" Villser to life at some point.

Our current arc will be exploring a bit of that version's true character history and its direct connections with the new "evolved" Villser (current PVC version) as we head towards our 11th year anniversary.

I'm glad you like that old meatball! I actually sculpted a lot of that one inside a hotel in China.

  12. Definitely some of that worked in there, as the iconography represents some of the story elements knocking around, particularly the idea of being "reborn".

Although, I also think you might see a beetle related symbol in a pizza roll if you looked at it long enough.

    Totinos!

  13. RECHLEN and AVES. Please please please please!!!!!!!!

    Replies
    1. Before the curtain falls, the goal is to give those two some PVC life, but for now they're still maintaining a position just outside our current reality.

      Delete
    2. I echo this hope, and add a hope for a reprinting of the older "Rechlen and Aves" and "Gear's Edge" books!

    3. Yes please reprint Gear's Edge

  14. Any crossovers this time? If so, hints? ;)

    1. No crossovers in this assortment, but late May should see some more of that action.

  15. But Cinar is just a baby!!
I look at these colors and see rainbow sherbet. And that seems fine. I’ve often influenced the very young with judicious and timely use of ice cream.

    1. The Root Beer Float Gambit has been employed here many times to secure offspring compliance.

Though I personally love it, sherbet holds no dominion over my Kimball Farms worshiping children!

    2. If we are ever up in that neck of the woods (wife wants to take a road trip to Maine and maybe beyond), we will have to see ice cream “as good as it gets”.

    3. The Kimball experience is pretty damn good. Drift over here if you come up this way, Zen!

  16. Excited for my first drop! Too bad my favorite color is drab green. I found out about this place a couple months late : P

    1. For now we're going to go with the current system, but this has always been an evolving project, so maybe the next iteration will hit the right notes a little better for you.

Gradual shifts have allowed us to survive over the years and stay focused, and speaking personally, they're essential to my heart staying truly connected to making stuff.

I do still love creating for Glyos, so maybe at least some of the decisions have been on target.

Either way, I really appreciate your support and feedback, David.

    2. No, I get it and I want to see Glyos continue as long as possible. Those were just passing thoughts. Believe me, I will never stop buying Glyos as long as I am able.☺

  18. What cool tampos, love how they build the mystery before a drop. I can't make up my mind, to me the first one resembles either a syclodoc or a Neo-Sarvos helmet. The last seems to at least be one part vilser, but the other... could it represent gendrones?

Looking forward to whats bound to be another exciting drop.

    1. Syclodoc is what I thought when I saw that first logo, and it occurres to me that the Syclodoc has a pattern in the center of it's chest with three rounded segments stacked vertically... If Villser's recruiting, he might make a natural addition.

    2. Look at the Villser 'belt' and then take a sec to compare it to the 'Doc pelvis too...
