  1. Order in. I have 6 little Imaginext friends waiting for their Mystery leader to arrive.

  2. Only had funds for one dood so got the Trooper and his misc bits to buff him up!

  3. Good luck on the drop tonight. We just had a family member in the hospital so I had to go super light, but it looks like a solid lineup for builders and newcomers.

  4. Soooo tempting but I have to hold out. I hope the drop is a huge success and sells out quickly (but still allows everyone to get what they want)

  5. Overall a very enticing selection of real type colors this round. Surprised to see that the only "Villian" we got was the Rift Killer...I told myself I was going to go light, but somehow I still ended up spending more than I planned. Love that Hubset paint mask for the Trooper and Commando, the Trooper is such a beautiful figure with the black paint on the torso. The capes are always an extra bonus and add a lot of character to the Commando.

Awesome drop, should have controlled myself, but damn if those accessories don't add up! I had to draw the line somewhere and though it "kills" me to have left him behind the Rift menace remained trapped in another dimension...until next time...peace and prosperity to you!

    1. We wanted to focus a little more on the Rift Killer for this round, especially to highlight some of the potential the figure actually possesses for building Axis Mutations.

When I was working on the tooling patterns, special attention was paid to increasing the clearances on the hip areas so the big Axis halves would plug in successfully and not look too strange. I've personally been carrying around a version that has all 4 of the limbs replaced with contained Axis limbs, which gives the figure some fun range of motion and a real Creature Core/Nirasawa vibe.

Story-wise, I imagine the Rift Killer materializing through a Dimension Gate located deep within a base of unknown technological (Delphi?) origin. The STS stumble upon this place while responding to a coded "distress" call emanating from one of their own recon units -just in time for the Rift Killer's arrival.

Who set this trap for them?

Will any of the STS survive the wrath of the Rift Killer?

  6. Now THAT was a drop. Looking forward to getting my STS “Mimban Squad” into action!

    1. I think that maybe the Mimban Mudtrooper units are the closest Star Wars has come to true, no holds barred, Real Type overall design. Of course, I already customized a bunch of the Mimban Stormtroopers that Hasbro put out in the first wave, but it's those Mudtroopers that are making me the craziest. The side story movies really make sure to deliver the Trooper goodness!

    2. I would love to see what your customs are, Matt.

  7. Thank you for another great drop! I had to go lighter than I would have preferred, but had to get the Mystery Fig, Pheyalien! I have very much enjoyed the Fisher Price AP tributes. They, along with the Britains Space tributes, have been among my favorites  these last two years. I will miss the FP Space series, but eagerly look forward to beginning the next Mystery Fig series in October. I have my hopes as to what that series might consist of (would LOVE to see that Microshin Glyan head chromed!), but I know that it will be cool, regardless of subject material.
Other things that I look forward to:
    - the Glyos Compilation book that has been mentioned in past posts. That will be epic!
    - the return of Qualleran/Noboto in October! yes!!
    - Armorvors next year! awesome!
    - the Delphi!!
    - as far as vinyl goes, i look forward to the return of Super Crays.
    - and last but not least, in the Buildstation I would love to see greens, reds, and especially translucents.
Now to go camp out by the mailbox and await the arrival of Pheyalien!

  8. I'm surprised that the numbers all held up even until today! Looks like everyone is able to get what they wanted.

    1. We've been juicing up the numbers little by little since the year started, especially on the heavier building waves (like this and the TFV assortment). That being said, those Troopers and Commandos are moving at a pretty good clip!

    2. Thank you! I usually refresh a dozen times in the store starting a couple minutes early until things start to appear. You've been setting my shopping anxiety at ease with the numbers being bumped up. I really think I speak for everyone when I say thank you for that!

  9. This axis rift killer monstrosity must see the light of day, if only to dissipate into a rank, miasmal fog before our very eyes.

Also, how close does this run of bone match the Ku run from ages ago?

    1. We've got a group of pics that will pop up once the boxes hit the post, and more importantly, new Ralph art! He actually posted a few sneaks over on his Instagram (featuring a sneak within a sneak of the "Double Hover" build).

This new bone is within the same family as the Ku run, only a little bit darker.

  10. "a particular character will sort of emerge from the Glyan ranks as we close out the year. Something akin to the Cane and Ruger types."

I'm rather curious where this will lead. Very few Glyan troopers have received the honor of getting a bump up from the rank of grunt.

  11. The Pheyalien turned out amazing. A Pheyden using a clear glitter colorway with this new paint app would really nail a cosmic traveler.

  12. Pheyalien did NOT disappoint! Kudos on an awesome finale for the FP AP homage series! I invested in extras to use as Buildstation figs.I am eager to see what the next Mystery Fig series will bring!
