No Armorvors yet, but that project is moving along at a good pace. However, you will see some feral action in this wave, just in a different breed of beast. A colossal one that prefers a spiked mace, a cosmic halberd and a spiked shield.
Geez - I missed this comment yesterday! SWOON! I have an idea what this will look like -- I think it will be a spectacular match of character and colorway! (and a quick sell out!)
Very interesting tampo, reminds me of gills, or some type of flap. I'm guessing this round will be solid colors? I'm very curious about that dark Orange and Brown combo, this will be my first foray into the Rothan green save for Marty's Mushi's and Cappy's Ecopod Flora Crayboth and Bio-Monster (I think). Will we be seeing a the gamut of accessories in both Orange and Green? Also second that query about Armorvor's!
Full accessories in Rothan green will be up to peruse, with an assorted mix of Axis Joint Sets in tow.
Rothan's color selections are a tribute to Big Daddy Roth and his greatest creation, Rat Fink. We really love good old PMS 375C! It's a color we've used in some form since the very first wave, and the hue still stands as one of my personal favorites. It's just a smidgen outside of Devastator green(incidentally, this wave builds well with the recent Bio-Masters and Zullen), and carries that "toyetic" quality deep within its cellular structure!
We've also woven some fun aspects into this assortment that tie directly into the recent Cantina Mystery figure's general themes, details and design choices.
Sort of a mega loop and direct reasoning for what the Cantina Mystery figures represent within the ongoing story arc, beyond just homages.
Sounds like a blob of confusion, but some of you might crack a smile when things begin to bleed together.
I'm trying to cipher if there's a secret message in that big block of text..just a stab in the dark, but might we see some more vinyl this round? I can't get the vision of a Jabba themed Armodoc out of my mind.
No vinyl, and no Jabba! The Kenner connection is there, but filtered through our weirdo process again. Think of it as a tangent direction that loops back into a story telling purpose.
Phaseons have not been forgotten, they're just waiting for the right opportunity to surface again and rejoin their brethren. I hear they like anniversaries...
You may be the in the smallest camp of all, Dex! I'd wager that maybe it's just you and Ralph that share this thought. I appreciate that you still like that old character.
Funny timing for your comment, as I was recently looking over my original Verexxa drawings while working on some new Cyber Mama revisions (there's a little Rechlen and Aves aesthetic infused into CM now) .
Just took a look at Cyber Mama. Such a great looking figure! I'm always happy to have some gender variety on my toy shelf. Makes it less of a "peg party," a-hyuck.
Oh, one of my all time favorite traveler colorways... I'm also excited about what the new mystery might be, you know how to hit the kenner buttons in my heart
No actual Mystery figure in this round, but a few of the figures draw inspiration from, and are connected to, some of the previous Kenner-born selections.
How many colors in this wave? How many figures? Will there be any reverse figures or blanks? How many different axis sets? Colors? Swing joint sets? Hubs?
How about sarvos and phanost? I'm sure they won't be in this wave, but I would really like to know how close are we to see their return. Also, why not keep them around as alternate heads? At least that way we can use them for some custom builds or similar stuff.
Suggestion! Rumor has it that once the Blocks became truly sentient they made a mass exodus to parts unknown, with the intention of building their own civilization.
Are we talking some jungle ready Quallerran's perhaps some venomous Villser, some Glyans with green thumbs or even a few bare chested travelers and the return of the LSA this round?
Ooh, looks nice!! I know Gendrones will be returning, but is there a chance we'll see the new mutant on the block make a second appearance?
ReplyDeletePheyaos will be right in the mix!
DeleteWe once again worked with Mori on the colors and themes, further exploring the continued narrative of Pheyaos.
Vegibrain?
DeleteNot Vegibrain, but definitely spawned from a similar fungus.
DeleteLiking these colors.
ReplyDeleteFeral makes me think there could be Armorvors

DeleteIs this the long-awaited Battle Tribes crossover?!
DeleteOh wait, never mind. I was distracted by the mace and spiked shield!
DeleteGeez - I missed this comment yesterday! SWOON!

Rothan YES!
ReplyDeleteOh no, my budget can't handle the temptation of two tone green right now...
ReplyDeleteTechnically, there are three tone greens on some of these weirdos.
Delete...do you just want the password to my Paypal account? Just take what you want and send me green plastic, it'd be easier that way.
DeleteRothan!!!!!

Ooooh please tell me you're gonna use some of this green for a dewback build!
DeleteIs Rothan Green closer to KotS Lime/Bog-Nar Green?
DeleteRothan shares the PMS 375C classification with Bog-Nar.
DeleteI'm trying to cipher if there's a secret message in that big block of text..just a stab in the dark, but might we see some more vinyl this round? I can't get the vision of a Jabba themed Armodoc out of my mind.

DeleteIf that makes any sense at all. Ha!
Rothan?! I love that place!
ReplyDeleteAny chance we’ll see a Gobon in the mix?
ReplyDeleteThe Gendrone action in this round comes in the form of a Buildman.
DeleteGobon will return mid-summer.
What about Phaseons? Any word on their status?
DeletePhaseons have not been forgotten, they're just waiting for the right opportunity to surface again and rejoin their brethren. I hear they like anniversaries...
DeleteGood to know! I still need a bunch more for my Gendrone army. Keep up the good work!
DeleteReally!?!?! Classic Gobon!?!?!?! *pleading eyes*
ReplyDeleteAny chance at an RF kit?
ReplyDeleteNo RF kits this time.
DeleteSpeaking of RF related topics, John delivered some really fun editions in his last wave!
Rothan green and . . . Capture orange-brown?
ReplyDeleteThough seeing this makes me miss the old color palettes. We need Arcos and Spirico again!
Will this colorway continue on throughout the year for the gendrones coming later?
ReplyDeleteThe current plan is for these colors to remain specific to this wave. We have a different selection for the upcoming Gendrone maneuvers.
DeleteWill there be any KOTS crossover figures this wave?
ReplyDeleteNo KOTS crossovers in this wave.
DeleteI'm most likely in a VERY small camp on this one, but I've been secretly hoping for a production Verexxa ever since her introduction!

DeleteBuildstation restock by chance?
ReplyDeleteNo Buildstation restock this time, but it will get a healthy bump mid-summer.
Delete...tell me more :D

ReplyDeleteHa! You forgot to ask for my mother's maiden name!
DeleteHere's the basic menu:
-4 different PVC colors
-10 figures including a crossover figure and a Crayboth
-No Reverse figures
-3 different Axis Joint Set colors
-Colors are Rothan light green, "Tyraxsis" orange and 2 more PVC hues that you'll see on Thursday
-Full selection of the usual accessories in Rothan light green
This covers most of the bases!

ReplyDeleteSarvos, Phanost and Scar Pheyden are gearing up for their eventual return later this year.
DeleteWe do run those characters less than we used to, but they are still in the rotation.
In theory, having the heads readily available sounds good, but the reality is that they perform much better when offered as complete figures.
What about those rig blocks? I need to build those walls.
ReplyDeleteSuggestion! Rumor has it that once the Blocks became truly sentient they made a mass exodus to parts unknown, with the intention of building their own civilization.
DeleteI need a trip to these parts unknown!
DeleteI love the week before a drop - always electricity in the air....
ReplyDeleteany crossovers with the Birkrantverse this time around? It's been a long time since Halloween (although Cthulu Nautilus would be hard to beat!)
Expect a visit from one of Mel's most popular creations. Been waiting to roll this one out for years!
DeleteOMIGOD OMIGOD OMIGOD OMIGOD
DeleteEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
DeleteAre we talking some jungle ready Quallerran's perhaps some venomous Villser, some Glyans with green thumbs or even a few bare chested travelers and the return of the LSA this round?
ReplyDeleteSome fun ideas! A few of them aren't far off!
DeleteThere will be no LSA, though.
Where have the LSA and Exellis disappeared to, and will they be bringing back with them my favorite cauliflower headed friend with them?
ReplyDelete
