Reconvert your code to a mechanical soul,
this MONDAY, May 25th at 9:30PM EDT!
EDIT: We're bumping the launch to tomorrow night (Monday), so we can check all the angles a few more times and avoid any overloaded circuits due to the extra high site traffic we're seeing.
Also, due to the state of things with Covid-19, we will only be shipping domestically (and to Canada) for this wave. We sincerely apologize to our international customers for the situation. That being said, we have pulled aside a limited supply of extra stock for those of you outside the USA to hopefully cover what you might want once the world stabilizes into some relative normalcy.

ReplyDeleteNice! It's always good to see some new crossover action, especially when it involves more Sincrodrones. And that new Glyan tampo looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteGiven the title, can we also expect some old (or even new) Gendrone acquaintances to put in an appearance?
The Sincrodrones double as an exercise in creating new, more compact, robotic characters from specific existing Toyfinity molds. These take advantage of the parts we originally assigned to each particular mold.
DeleteLots of fun building to be found within the self imposed "limits" of this approach.
As far as more familiar Gendrones go, it's not quite time for the big mega-mechanical meeting to occur just yet, though multiple beings with artificial intelligence will be present.
Sounds promising nonetheless. Seeing the response below, though: will we ever see these specific molds released as new Accessory Sets, or even just a "Junkshop Sincrodrone" special?
DeleteRobo Force Accessory Set type offerings are not off the table. Elements of this wave actually touch on this concept directly, with limited mold combinations available at different prices, but with narrative elements instead of only straight parts.
DeleteSilhouettes look great, but that song is next level badass! Tell Marcus we need some glyos vinyl(the sound kind.. well, both while we're at it) as soon as possible!
ReplyDeleteCircuits and Brains (aka the guy you were riding around in the empty apocalyptic parking garage with) is an all around musical marvel! He was also the captain of our high school soccer and track teams.
DeleteI'll be there.
ReplyDeleteNeat! Looking forward to this.
ReplyDeleteWow there's a lot to unpack from that teaser, just stylistically the animation and music really set up the tension I'll be feeling all week in anticipation of what's in store! With all this Synchronicity speak, any chance for some LSA? Those colors are looking right up my alley, translucent or solids?
ReplyDeleteThis wave was actually shuffled around a bit amidst all the weirdness over the last few months, with a completely different assortment originally slated to roll out before this, but the Sincrodrones just couldn't wait to return!
DeleteWe have plans for the LSA/Dark Travelers that hopefully you'll like, it's just taking forever to finally connect all the dots. It involves new molds and some unexpected combinations, relevant to those projects I was mentioning in the last blog post.
As far as colors for this wave go, I think we've hit a pretty decent variety of hues in both clear and solid selections. A ton of extra time was spent on the builds/possible combos and color theory.
There's also an all new small surprise on deck that's finally ready to surface. Nothing massive, but pretty neat nonetheless.
I also want to say that it's truly great to be answering these launch questions again. Thank you guys for still wanting to explore this neck of the woods.
Oh man, I'd be thrilled to see a combination of Cosmic Wave clear blue and that beautiful glow in the dark blue. My Cosmic Oracle ELDER Exellis still needs a proper clear blue head, but I'd love to upgrade his armor to be glowy, especially with Axis Joints.
DeleteSmall surprise? Could this be a the little gendrone hijacker?!?
DeleteNo mini hijackers this time (but I'm happy you still have interest in those little troublemakers).
DeleteThe small surprise has more to do with the Armorvors.
If y'all ever do Glyos LPs I'd love it. Music from the games would be super cool... as would a "Listen N Fun" adventure! Or whatever you like. I'm thrilled to see something new coming up this week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Adam! Double thank you for keeping the essential 16bit.com alive and active during the lockdown. I hope you're still writing about toys even when the cockroach men inherit the scorched earth.
DeleteTrippy. I like it.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely my favorite trailer presentation so far. A visual and audio feast to enjoy. Any chance this Glyan tampo can come back in time for the Halloween drop Sugar Skull style?
ReplyDeleteMore Sincrodrones is good. Slightly higher than the $15 last time? They look like a bit heftier in parts mixing than the previous generation. Can't wait to see the combined form (and the previous one revealed, hopefully.)
Marcus seems to only get better with each project! I did manage to still drive him crazy even though we've been working remotely, so at least that part is somewhat "normal". Ha!
DeleteFunny that you mention the Halloween assortments, considering who is lurking around this new wave (even if he doesn't know who he is).
The Sincrodrones will be priced in the same range once again (one even lower), with a "standard" cost being a big part of the continued experiment.
John and I have been looking into alternative ways of offering all the useful Toyfinity parts at a more varied pricing structure, so if the Sincrodrones have another successful performance you'll most likely see something in the same range appear over in the Toyfinity store sooner than later.
That new glyan tampo looks neat, circuits revealed? Any good weirdos this round, Pheyaos or stranger?
ReplyDeleteI agree with the others on wanting a Glyos soundtrack, still listen to Disasterpeaces stuff that was done for the site.
Anyone else have a drop night playlist?
I think you're onto something! I have a longstanding love of the classic 1970s Maskatron figure, so naturally its influence was bound to show up in the mix. Exactly how it shows up is woven into the continuing story of a particular character that seems to repeatedly find a way around death.
DeleteOld Pheyaos is taking a break for this round, but will return in the next wave.
With the ten year (!) anniversary of Soul of the Traveler coming up in the fall, we might just have something to celebrate the occasion.
Combiner?
ReplyDeleteLots of combinations in this wave! There is something about three elements combining together that robots seem to love.
DeleteThe http://circuitsandbrains.com/ URL isn't working for me right now, btw.
ReplyDeleteThe track for this teaser is on Bandcamp for those also looking for it. https://circuitsandbrains.bandcamp.com/track/crowded-shadows
Excited to see what's exactly in this drop!
Thanks for the heads up, Julianne! I will send Mr. Brains an email and force him to run a few laps around his house.
DeleteOh, and one more question: will we be seeing the previous Sincrodrone Combiner in a clearer image as well? That build is a stumper from that blurred image!
ReplyDeleteThat build has remained in its configuration since the day I first put it together, going on many adventures during the lockdown. You will see it in a non-blurry pic on launch day, though maybe not in the way you're expecting.
DeleteNew passcode stuff? New hidden stuff? I need to know!
ReplyDeleteNo Passcode, but there will be a debut of something new, no monkeying around!
DeleteI'm absolutely loving how new figures are born of creative parts redistribution. Sincrodrones are up there with the VRD builds. Excellent stuff as always from you guys.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I think your master building will fuse with these parts selections seamlessly.
DeleteThis group of Sincrodrones are a little more from the "Bio-Form" type side of the design DNA strand, with alien coloring and slightly oddball, but relative to the first wave, combinations.
A major concept behind the Sincrodrones is focused on mechanical lifeforms that can "reproduce" and have children. Is their intelligence really "artificial" if they can procreate and pass on their code? Is the ability to exercise freedom of choice and experience "love" a marker for true consciousness?
A lot of time in lockdown with Glyos can scramble your eggs!
Hey, the Renegades did beget the Phaseons, after all; robots making robot "children" isn't without precedent in Glyos.
DeleteCan't wait to see the concept "fleshed-out" more, though!
I especially appreciated the paint masks on the Nazarran brains for the first iterations of the Sincrodrones, any chance we'll see those utilized in a build this go round?
DeleteThose strange brains will be remaining within Nazgar's stronghold this time, recharging for their next dimensional jump.
DeleteI wonder what the Renegades would think of the Sincrodrones? Odds are good that they'll be taking a closer look before long.
DeleteGlad to see the Onell crew in the land of moving parts. I like the concept of mixing mold selections up as a way to push creativity. It’s easy to get into a rut and follow the path of least resistance. Resets can be good that way.
ReplyDeleteKind of like the end of Star Trek Picard.
Any kind of renegade action happening this time around?
Or even just the more subservient gobon/phaseon units?
Thanks and good health!
Hey Zen! I hope you and that great crew are holding up well!
DeleteThe colors for the Sincrodrones in this wave might make you happy. A healthy assortment of unusual colors to satisfy the lefty in all of us.
There might be a little Renegade spying on things, but in a different form than what we've seen before.
Renegobelin?
DeleteLife is good. Three School aged girls. Three different virtual schools. 20,000 emails per kid. Two Streaking toddlers. It’s my luck to be treated as furniture by ravenous customers hungry for bread and cakes. And yet the foolishness and risk of contagion out in the world is my refuge away from the chaos at home that I would prefer, especially since little Syzygy is showing interest in daddy’s glyos.
This will be my first order. Is it easy/simple enough to order one of each figure and accessories set? Or is it a mad dash kind of thing? I'm not saying I'm ordering one of everything, but if they're all in a color I like I'm going to try.
ReplyDeleteIt's usually easy! There is often a dash but it can be hard to predict what items sell out fastest. You should be fine if you order when the drop hits. There might beore of a rush this time since it's been so long since the last one.
DeleteCool, thanks for clarifying it a bit. Hopefully we're all able to get what we're looking for. 🍻
DeleteCan't wait for this drop, i love me some robots!
ReplyDeleteToday's reality is somewhat changed from what it was back in January. Seeing this post, along with the questions and your responses, is a breath of fresh, virus-free air. Huge thanks to you and the other Glyos wizards for creating small plastic bits of happiness that make a weary soul feel like a kid again.
ReplyDeleteStay safe and be like Pheyden- wear your Traveler's Scarf when exploring the Edge of Space!
Not going to lie, I was getting worried with no updates of any kind. Just not right to see Onell HQ so silent. Anticipating a fresh drop is the kind of normal my brain needs right now and I cannot wait.
ReplyDeleteI feel like the orders from this drop should all come with white Traveler scarves so our pocket Pheydens can match us while we're out.
Any collaborations with Toy Pizza or Outer Spice Girls?
ReplyDeleteCrossover action is loaded with Toyfinity fueled mechanical mania for this wave!
DeleteI'm glad I randomly checked the site today. I'll be there tomorrow buying some stuff.
ReplyDeleteYou're killing me man. 😅
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to have Onell back! and upset that international orders won't be available....
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what the newest offerings are!
ReplyDeleteSo what's the process of ordering? Will I need a password to get into the store? or will it go live?
ReplyDelete
