The greatest news in the history of news. The EMD wave is what really pulled me in to this world in full force and life has never been the same since. After all these years it is still my favorite colorway and it's been amazing to see it have some small updates and cameos over time, but a true name dropped return has me excited beyond belief!
You always come to mind when we discuss EMD around here! Though there will be no vinyl in this round, there will absolutely be a decent selection of new orange (and gray) action.
EMD is an old personal favorite here as well, so we really tried to continue the spirit of what that team was all about -experimenting with some strange mechanics.
In terms of crossover guest potential, any chance this will see the first sanctioned fight between John Kent's mechanical wonders and John Kent's mangled creations? Because if we ask John who his favorite "child" is he's just going to chicken out with that "all of them" answer when we know it's really Mordles.
You will see some Toyfinity crossover selections, 100%. We'll wait to see John announce which of his children gets the thrown after the clash. I'm thinking it will end up like peas and carrots. with one eternally linked to the other across dimensional dinnerware, forever.
My account broke, but do I see a Phaseon crossed with a Sincroborg? Or is that just wishful thinking? (I see some resemblance on its left hand, but it could be hub set parts.)
You're looking at a contained triple mold crossover, just utilizing some of the smaller molds to make something slightly compact. The build in question also has multiple intended alternate modes, representing a support drone for adventurous EMD operatives.
This teaser is giving me Gearius and exorig frame vibes, which I really enjoyed, can we expect something along those lines? Also will there be any reappearances this round from characters or molds we've maybe not seen in a while?
The main theme while we developed this wave was remixing familiar molds with one another to explore some fresh shapes and new silhouettes (hence the pic above which showcases some of that idea).
Within the various molds we have the opportunity to explore different ways of assigning the parts, but with the self-imposed limitation of not driving the core costs too high. Mini builds have really been on my mind more than usual, and what you'll see on Sunday edges into that frame of thinking in a very direct way.
That bot looks sick, gnarly pic as well. Should we expect a heavy dose of unconventional AI, or will there also be some organic components in store Sunday? What kind of colors can we expect, metallics, translucents, perhaps something florescent?
Prepare for a healthy collision of mutation and machine! Color range spans five solid based hues, two of which (almost) have full accessories load out.
It's really cool to see the evolution of these remixed sets into new builds, and I’m always happy for new RF/Zeroid part colors to expand the palette. I’m looking forward to what other configurations you’ve put together for Sunday.
I knew my glyos-sense was tingling for a reason!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it's not just seasonal allergies.
DeleteSome robotic action? Potentially with some orange in the mix? Color me intrigued!
ReplyDeleteI have to ask: are we looking at Sincrodrone and Sincroborg builds, or will we see the return of some Renegade stylings as well?
There will be a few special combined builds in the mix, with some old and some new.
DeleteYou will definitely see some orange!

DeleteFixed my account, and just realized I said Sincroborg, when I meant Sincrodrone.

How are the new Delphi doing? Are they still training or ready for a mission?
ReplyDeleteTraining nearly complete, results due this summer.
