  1. He's finally coming home! Is this going to be a large drop or more focused to the source material for inspiration like the Mando wave? - Raoul Duke (live from the road)

    1. Hello, Mr. Duke! The wave is very focused and does indeed follow along the lines of the old Mando wave in terms of size. Not massive by any means, but hopefully enough stuff to make things interesting.

  2. Excited to see what got you so hyped about at LegionsCon! Just hoping we get to see a certain model that can't be improved upon as well — he would be, after all, the best.

    1. H.U.B.S.W.I.N.G. and its crew will be doing some exploration of a long lost Buildship, impossibly positioned just outside of the Dark Vortex...

  3. We haven't seen an OSM crossover in quite some time. Just saying. Nothing implied. :)

  4. Dark vortex got me thinking about SFX pvc, something akin to metallic swirl maybe? Looks like robots are def on the menu, curious if we’ll see the Delphi or at the very least their component parts? -Witchwitchwitch

    1. There is a bit heavier of a focus on special builds for this round. Some of them are on the simpler side and some are pushing the limits in both parts count and factory assembly.

Many elements of this wave have been in the works since the birth of the Toyfinity Zetonian.

    2. Hmmm… when you say pushing the limits on the factory side and the above comparison to the Mando drop, has me thinking about special paint apps. Are we looking at something that might scratch the itch of a fully painted Neinboto I wonder? - Witchwitchwitch

    3. More related to the assembly of new builds, one of them being particularly laborious for the team overseas to assemble. I'm certain some Cantonese cursewords were flying at some point.

  5. Excited for this one! Oddly enough I call my Mother-In-Law the Dark Vortex! Any Glyans on deck this time?

    1. That actually made me laugh. You will absolutely see some Glyans in the mix, though these particular ones answer to an entity very unlike Metran.High Command.

    1. Possibly my favorite execution of maroon/crimson PVC to date. There will also be black PVC and it's a bit unique in that we had the entire figure fully painted after assembly to achieve a pretty satisfying tight finish.

Great seeing you and the family at Legions!

  8. Can't wait to see what you've cooked up. One more robot wave for the year is a Christmas miracle!

    1. This wave fulfils some long-standing childhood dreams. Being able to have small armies of "Glysentries" marching around the house and riding inside "pocket bases" to go on missions has been way too much fun.

I loved the old Mego line, especially the robots (as we all did), but they were not as plentiful and available as good old Stormtroopers back in the day, making them feel kind of rare.

The Mego Micronauts connection found its ways into the Sentry figure design and the chrome on Maximillian. Those aspects were not lost on my small mind back then, so Max and the few maroon Sentries I did have were always mixing it up with the Stormtroopers, Micronauts, Cylons and Adventure People that populated my room. Dan Holland and Buck Rogers never stood a chance.

  9. I’m a big fan of Disneys black hole. It’s a shame this is happening right before Xmas when I have no money.

    1. Ooh! Hoping you guessed it…underrated 70’s movie, possible silhouette of a certain silent hovering robot…

    2. December waves are always tricky, but we do our best to stay on track. There should be plenty to go around as we went heavier on the primary figure selections.

And achieving that hovering effect ended up being solved in a funny way.

  10. Reynolds Cruz. Excited for this drop. Hello Matt I sent you an email not sure if you had a chance to read it.
