Though we're living through a time that's truly doing a number on our collective hobby, we're trying our best to stay right down in the trench, ducking and weaving while operating in survival mode.
Our "normal" way of releasing new waves will continue to evolve as we adapt to the shifting situations that are shuffling around all of us. You're going to sometimes see a mini wave pop up out of nowhere, like the one going in the store tonight, May 29th, at 9:30PM EDT. We'll have four new figures along with a small selection of accessories to check out for wave 107.
Continuing the arc from Wave 106, we wanted to explore what Govurom might have seen after he was vaporized by the Buildman Infiltrator at the end of their fateful encounter on Granthan. Perhaps Govurom witnessed an alternate timeline open up as he traveled over to the other side, a kind of "Strayline", where the events that carved the path of known reality never came to pass. What if Pheyden never made it to Granthan in time to awaken the Buildman that would become the heroic Argen? What if something else got there first with a different plan? Straylines that can lead anywhere ...

ReplyDeleteWhatever comes I’ll be ready, these drops always seem to land around bedtime for the toddler…curious if there’ll be any Glyos progeny this wave or, dare I ask it, something Delphi related, limbs at the very least? Or is this more in line with the previous mini drop with some counter measure figures?

DeleteThese mini waves are a combination of reconfigured preexisting plans that then metamorphosized into some new thinking and change ups. Very much the Straylines idea bleeding into both life and art.

ReplyDeleteI’ve often thought about straylines, as you call them, in concert with the idea that any decision tree can spread out infinitely in all possible directions in what the kids today might call quantumania. It gets deep and chaotic really quickly. But such is the way of infinite combinations.
What happens when these decision trees start colliding into each other after the quantumaniacal tissue between realities is torn, as it will have to had been at some point in the overmorrowing preceding years ahead?
And will it be pink?

Liking the sound of this arcs story! Nice look for this Pheyden, been carrying a similar build with orange vest around for the last week or so. Will there be a complete run of accessories including swing joints? Sounds like maybe a new Argen? Curious about this “something else.” Delphi? Kydrothi? Pheyaos? - robotimms

ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what's in store for this Strayline. The recemt Gorivoll Buildborn has my mind racing with possibilities! The scene on the cliffs of Granthan occupies an uncomfortable amount of space in my head, so I'm pumped to see what could have gone down in a different timeline. Thank you and the Glyos crew for always being a tremendous source of creative energy and inspiration!
