Bulked Out

The Armorvor gains a little more of an alien space wolf vibe with its new fur color. Also, reversing the scarf on the Sarvos creates an interesting variation to add something different to the overall look.

That "Bulker" Suit is a contained build made from 2 Hub Sets, 2 Phase arms and 2 Gobon Blasters. It looks kind of like a beefy Samus/Robby the Robot fusion to me.

  1. That is amazing. I knew I needed something in my life, and now I know it's an alien space wolf in green.

    1. Thanks Adam! Odd colored animals have had a special place on my shelf for years. Bighorn Sheep still remains one of my favorite original Battle Beasts.

  2. I showed my 10 year old son these pics and said, "Doesn't the Armorvor look kind of evil in those colors?" He replied, "Yeah...but a good kind of evil!"

I'm lovin' this color scheme. This drop can't come soon enough.

  3. That Armorvor looks fantastic! The bottom most build, the contained one, has some interesting feet. Never thought to use that combo in such a way.

    1. Thanks Josh! That Bulker build is still a work in progress, but in general it functions pretty good. Been into beefy boots lately.

  4. Not really digging the green wolf head, the armorvor looks like mint chocolate chip. I mean the color scheme works for the glyos bots but not so much for the armorvor, especially compared to it's 1st color scheme, which was perfect for it.

    1. Not into mint, huh? Are you more of a vanilla type? Ha!

No worries, maybe the new color selections in October will strike you better, those styles have more traditional furry hues.

Either way, thanks for the feedback!

  5. The Armorvor in those colors looks creeeepyyy, I like it. That's exactly what I would do with the Sarvos, and I've built nearly the exact thing as the last build. So, overall, loving these.

    1. Thanks Connor! The scarf option should breed some strange new looks for our usual suspects.

  6. Now this Armovor body with the white head from the last one might look very good. Can't wait for this release. I'm pumped on the scarves and I might still get a switch pin for that servos look you did last time too.

    1. You can get a Callgrim looking Armorvor with that switch, which will make Jesse smile.

The Switch Pins serve as good fodder for straps as well. I kind of went nuts chopping them up on the last round!

      Thanks!

    1. Thanks Nate! I'd like to see Hades travel with you to Disney. Take a couple pics over at Epcot, where the ground glows at night. Man, I love that place!

      See you in a month!

  8. This is going to be a fantastic drop. The colors are simply amazing, the possible builds shown are unique and outstanding. I can't wait to add these figures to my collection. I honestly thought that the the last Armodoc was the best one ever until I saw pics of this one. Crazy. The way Matt and crew up the ante every drop is absolutely insane. Production scarves! Who saw that coming?! Armovors!? Incredible thanks to Matt, Jason and Marty for making these figures an absolute dream come true. Keep them coming, and Marty and Jason keep the heads a rolling. I hope for a rhino, bear, and maybe a panda or rabbit. A gitd rabbit on that new Armovor body? wow! ;)

    1. Thanks Pete! I'm happy that this Armodoc cuts the mustard for you!

Marty and Jason have only just begun with their crazy heads and I'm just as excited as you to see them keep rolling them out. I know Jason has something crazy in the works!

  9. I'm still floored by the color combination. (Not to mention the possibilities for dyed Armovors in the future, of course.) And all of these contained builds are making me think of trying some of my own, especially if that painted Hub Set won't be attached to a Glyan this round. (Though if it is, I'm not above making a Hades Force Orboid and using the leftovers for tool builds.) And that scarf . . . man, the uses outside of facial alteration! It even makes the Sarvos look like its heavily armored, asthough the rest of the body should be one of those Shirow-inspired Axis Joint monstrosities!

This is definitely one of those simple waves where people wish they could buy these in bulk, Matt, especially us builders. Keep up the great work!

  10. Wow, talk of an October drop as well? Awesome! Between this week's run, October and NYCC I don't feel too badly about passing on most of the Volkriun vinyl. After the Gatekeepers, I think this Hades wave is my favorite colorway yet so I'm SO stoked for this week (and NYCC)!!
