Spy Monkey Creations!

This Friday, February 3rd at 12PM PST, Spy Monkey Creations will unleash their parts-packed Armory Series 1 sets via their website store!

These guys are great old friends of ours and have worked extremely hard to bring their incredible custom weapons to a full PVC production level. All 42 (!!!) pieces that make up one Armory Set are 100% Glyos compatible and are made at our factory by the same team that manufactures all of our releases. A ton of time, energy and planning were poured into the development of this Armory Set, and we were honored to work very closely with the Spy Monkey team during the process.

I have been personally messing around with the parts (some pics above) and the build potential within these sets is really something. We can now add some classic hard lined mechanical aspects to our collective builds as well as an entire arsenal of beautiful clear ABS parts, ranging from spikes to domes to wings -and this is only one small aspect of what these sets can do. For fans of larger format figures that feature certain blond, beefy battlers, the weapons that can be configured from the Armory Sets just blow apart previous limitations, opening up the true power of full customization.

Our absolute deepest congratulations to Jeremy, Brian and Bill for bringing Spy Monkey Creations into this new frontier with their dedication, talent and hard work.

We'll be ready on Friday to join in the mayhem!

  1. Woah. These are certifiably nuts, and it's a fool's errand to try and pick a favorite. Just how many sets went into each build?

    1. 3 in the Hawk-mechs, 2 in the transforming bug, 1 in the red eagle, and 2 in the wingknight if I'm recognizing parts correctly

  3. Out of all the reviews, including my own, you really made these come to life. Great stuff!

Folks, if you're even remotely interested in these, pick up a set. They're ridiculously awesome!

  4. WHoa-ho-ho. Mr Doughty you sir have been busy. O_O I love the Gundam vibe I get off those two Venom bird-headed builds, and that black bug transforming build reminds me of Spydor from MotU, the 2nd assortment of Insecticons, and the Alien Sets from Fisher-Price's old 'Construx' toyline; specifically the one set that is a giant mutant/alien bug. I have alot of ideas for these builds now, and can't wait to get my hands on some more sets.

Now all they need to do is make a set in yellow, with clear orange ABS plastic & we'll really be able to re-create Insecticon Ransack. O_O Congrats again to the Spy Monkey Creations team for knocking this right outta the park.

  5. Matt, you always know how to sell something just based on a few builds. I now suddenly need more of these than I was planning. Does the Orange set match the EMD Glyans that were just released?

  7. Definitely out of my price range, but they certainly look snazzy! I'm interested to see how they integrate with standard Glyos pieces.

  10. Once again the Father of All Things Glyos puts us all to shame with his amazing Builds! It's amazing to think Brian and I designed these pieces and yet could not even begin to imagine the stuff Matt would come up with!

We and SMC would just like to again thank all of the Glyos Universe for being so supportive of our new venture! If sales are strong and all goes well you can expect to see even more great collaborations between Onell and SMC!

I just got my EMD Drop swag so I was able to compare the EMD orange to our Doppelgänger Orange (actually a Callgrim color) and it's very close but not an exact match. EMD is a touch darker, but they harmonize pretty well.

  11. So I'm seeing some pieces that I can't identify in any of the 5 weapons, and I added up the pieces and it doesn't come to 42. Are there pieces that are not part of the weapons builds?

    1. Every piece in the builds above are Spy Monkey Armory parts. Keep in mind that each build has a different number of Armory sets in the configuration. They range from 1 complete set, to 2 complete sets to 3. Certain parts are used more than the blades due to the build style applied.
