Tracker Type

Things have been a little quiet around these parts this month, but the gears have still been steadily turning! A small release is planned for Sunday, October 26th, at 9:30PM EST. The previously set assortment of things has been slightly shuffled, and the new Armorvors will not be surfacing until late November/early December. The new head has been a stubborn little bugger, and I'm looking forward to sharing the process of its creation with you here on the blog.

The main focus of next Sunday's wave is a particular version of Sarvos that's been on deck for a bit. Back when the first Custom Corps rolled out, lots of unique characters were created for the project, and one of my personal favorites was a figure combination called Tracker Sarvos. Tracker had a bulked up right arm that was outfitted with Phase Arm parts, and featured a red, grey and black color selection (paying homage to Matt Trakker of M.A.S.K.). It was tough for me to let that little guy out into the wild, because I had carried it around with me (like dozens of future CCs) and had lots of fun going on various adventures, developing the character's personality. I imagined this Tracker Sarvos as something of a lone wolf, called in to deal with the strange and unexplained. Part Mulder and part Clint Eastwood with a dash of Kwai Chang Caine.

Now, after thinking about making Tracker Sarvos again since back in the CC days, we will be releasing a full production version. The specific colors are set up to connect directly with the Crayhunter and Rig Crew waves, and the color swapping between all of the assortments is pretty fun if you enjoy customizing your stuff. The final wave of 2014 (late November/early December) will also build on the recent assortments, and allow for a very Real Type end to the year.

Additionally, to celebrate the Fall season and cause Tracker Sarvos some trouble, some Halloween inspired  Crayboth are set to invade on Sunday as well! The full list will go up later this week, with pics starting tomorrow. A few small surprises are also in store!

    1. Thanks Mark! I used to watch M.A.S.K. every morning before school, and to this day I still think that the opening animation and theme song are amazing.

Mighty Orbots and Galaxy Rangers also sport glorious openers.

  2. I hope we get a little more story about Tracker. I wonder just how many CC figures you have secret plots for. The space private eye genre really needs to be expanded now!

    1. When the first samples of the production Tracker Sarvos came in I went a little crazy! After anticipating its arrival for the greater part of 3 months (from when we turned in the first mechanicals), being able to finally play around with the little bugger has been a lot of fun.

Tracker will be offered as a Conversion Set, packed with 1 complete Axis Joint Set, 1 complete Phase Arm Set, 1 complete Extra Set and some scarves to swap around. The various pieces are configured into the Tracker Form, with the beefy right blaster arm and the Axis armored left arm installed. The remaining Axis and Phase parts are also configured into a second big blaster arm.

      Option Attack!

  3. Agreed with Nemo on just about every point. More story, please!

And wow, it's been a long time. I remember first seeing that figure back in the original CC run and hoping like all get-out that it'd show up in the mail. Took some time, but I'm glad it's finally happening!

    1. I think you might like the gray hue from this round. It's Cool Gray 7C, the same as the Rigs and Blocks from the recent Rig Crew wave. Seems to work as a good bridge between various colors.

The red is almost a dead match for the Reydurran Red, and pops pretty well.

Building between the Crayhunters, Rig Crew and this Tracker assortment can yield some interesting combos.

  4. Hey, good to see you guys are still alive and kicking! I got a little worried when you didn't post anything after the KBB match. Tracker Sarvos is looking mighty fine! I have a friend who I just got into Glyos, and I think these colorways are right up his alley!

  5. Sounds great! I'd live to read the process on the new head. It'd also be awesome if a Skeledon made an appearance in time for Halloween.

    1. News on Skeleden will be popping up very soon, and work on the molds has been steady. Lots of small adjustments to the various armor pieces to make sure that the hidden applications will work! The slide on armor aspect opens up all kinds of potential configurations, but only if the particular angles and clearances are right.

The very first Skeleden will be arriving exclusively through the KS rewards, but we'll definitely have more versions waiting in the shadows.

We'll run some posts spotlighting the new Armorvor head development as we move into November.

    1. Thanks Pete! It's a simple variation, but the connections to the old CC and early days adds a certain spice to the mix.

  7. Will there be a super cray on Sunday, perchance? I really dig the purple super cray I got from the last drop. He's the only one powerful enough to stop the ecroyex cyclodoc!

  8. I can't believe I'm just finding out about these guys! Just bought two a few days ago and am patiently awaiting their arrival, also waiting for that next drop now too! I've been checking the site every day now, just looking at them all got me so inspired that I'm working on a long range story involving some of the figures as characters now. Really great stuff. I'm totally hooked now.
