Stryke Back!

This Sunday night, October 11th, at 9:30 EDT, we will have a small assortment of new items popping up in the store.

Leading the charge is an all new round of Stryker Lock, cast in pure black Japanese vinyl with painted red accents applied by Mori himself. The white rerun Stryker Lock order is still in the painting process (which I got to personally see while visiting Tokyo last month), so we wanted to roll something special out to balance the wait. The black hue on these figures really looks remarkable in hand and makes for a good nemesis color to the previous white edition. Maybe Cane has been working for these guys all along...

We'll also be releasing some Halloween themed figures that serve as a little follow up to last year's October wave, including a couple surprise selections and the rollout of Standard Pheyden MK V, which features fully painted (not swapped) upper arms and thighs as well as the usual slight tweaking of the good old light blue hue.

Details, pics and the list coming soon!

  1. That drop still remains one of my favorites, especially for Tracker.

Excited to see what comes around this time!

    1. No Tracker in this round, but some "Standard" representations of a few key characters will appear, beyond just Pheyden MK V.

There is also a secret mode character if you combine two of the upcoming figures, which connects to an old sculpt from our in house archive of strange projects. I've been carrying this re-swapped version around with me since the first test paints came in.

    2. Sounds great! And a secret mode character? Man, you've gotten me thinkin' about the old Passcode and Warp Zone days.

(Side note: kinda funny that, for a drop that happens in the same month as Halloween, we're getting "standard" figure releases. No costumes needed?)

  2. I was actually thinking how cool it would be to have an updated Pheyden, and it just magically happened! How cool is that!

    1. This new version has full detail lines and follows the basic design of the previous editions, except this one has fully painted upper arms and thighs, as opposed to a full PVC swap. The effect is pretty neat, and gives the MK V a unique place in the succession of Standard Pheyden production runs from over the last 8+ years. Up until now, the parts always used the swap method.

    1. Thanks Mark! Mori is starting to nail down the production rhythm of these little guys. They definitely take some time to cut and assemble, and this is a pretty healthy production run.

  5. The October drop is always one of my favorites, it was the first drop I was in on back when Neo-Nebula Pheyden was released. Hope that Sunstorm Yellow shows back up this round, can't wait to see whats in store!

    1. The Sunstorm color scheme will not be in this wave, but it is in the works for upcoming assortments. That yellow vinyl is quite unique!

That being said, I hope you like orange vinyl.

  6. A new Operator Cane would be extremely welcome... Damn it, Black colorways always do it for me like no other! I unfortunately missed last time... I won't make the mistake of letting bills stop me this time!

    1. Hey Michael! Cane will be sitting this round out, but that character is another one that is in the production plan for an upcoming wave.

Because multiple projects are so close to fruition (test shot level at this point), we're trying to time specific assortments to their estimated completion dates. It can drive a person bonkers! Ha!

  7. How much will these cost considering they don't have the paint wash?

    1. Hey Joe, the cost should be $30 USD. We'll try to keep the price around there for each edition.

    2. Also, I have two more questions. Will we get a list of figures tonight and will any future figures use the indigo color introduced by the Godbeast?
