Curvilinear Counterparts

  1. Nice!

The graininess of the photo leads one to ask, though: will we ever see a release with marbled PVC? Or is that a thing that can't be done?

    1. The metallic swirling is about as marbled as we can get with PVC.

Japanese soft vinyl seems to nail classic style "marbling" the best.

    2. Gotcha. That swirling is still pretty rad, though.

Love that foot design. Nice organic shaping, and looks perfect for stomping!

    3. Thanks Roy!

This new (old) character is the largest PVC figure we've made for the Onell imprint, standing just over 3.5" tall.

Each part was designed and sculpted to try and continue the themes and evolution we've been exploring since we started, but with some fresh yet also familiar dimensions and angles. There are some fun secrets layered into the aesthetic lines.

Multiple contained builds were a big focus during its development, as well as some important character specific combined accessory builds and a few bizarro "double" formations.

    4. Contained builds? Usually, we see those with some kind of joint sets. Does this mean that the figure itself will have pieces to reconfigure itself?

...this is going to be a long ten days, isn't it?

  2. I've never been so interested in a leg before...

  3. It almost seems like, what I'd call the calf is two parts by itself. Any hints at a total part count? I'm hoping based on the information above, and the size of this figure that we may be seeing a few new heads/parts that that may fulfill the hope and dreams of the polarized Delphi/Villser camp. Either way that bizarro has me curious...can't wait to see more, I do love this gradual building of the figure from the ground up...

  4. I am oddly fascinated by the shape of that foot -- because it looks to be easily repurposed. And the size promises something intimidating.
And say... how long has the star background cycled through colors?

    1. I agree on the foot being repurposed. If there's a socket on the bottom, this could make a great visor for a helmet.

    2. There is indeed a female fit function on both the top and bottom of the foot.

  5. I'm really hoping this will not sell out too quickly before I can get one. Will there be limits placed on this new character 2 per order maybe? First hour?
