  1. It’s on like Skeledong! Love the purple background.

  2. Is this a vinyl-only drop? I ask because the new time is a little rougher on being able to be there at first drop, but I don't really collect the vinyl pieces.

    1. It will be a PVC attack, with the standard sized assortment of stuff at the ready.

      RHND!

    3. Thank you!

We've been working with Mori towards this new release for many years and it feels pretty wild to finally hold the finished product of all those talks, work sessions and visits in the palm of your hand. Can't wait until you guys start playing around with this little mutant as well!

Mori's an incredible artist and person, and we wanted to truly honor his creativity and ingenuity with some fully realized PVC action!

  4. Oh Baby! Is that Mordireus Pink I see? Will we finally see the reveal of the Villser extra set this round!?! Is that an updated version of Pheyaos?

    1. Your eyes are correct on that Mordieus (though it does have a little something extra on a few of the selections this time).

The new figure does have some direct ties to the Villser (and Pheyden) thematically, especially if you look back at the older Villser concept drawings.

That being said, this is a completely separate deal than the ongoing Villser Extra Set project, though a solid build cross-compatibility was still firmly in mind during this new figure's entire development (angles, sizing, sculpting, etc.).

One of the main intentions with this new mutant was to create something that was between a "narrative" design and a "building" design, with a significant amount of focus placed on capturing the original "feel" of Pheyden, but updated with fit functions on the bottoms of the feet and the center of the back -with a little added overall size to cut a fresh silhouette within the general Glyos lineup.

The sneak preview in the animation above is for this brand new figure.

    2. Very excited about this new figure, especially the inclusion of fit functions on the feet and back. For the Mordireus selections you mentioned, will we be getting a full array accessories in that translucent pink?

      Delete
    3. It's a simple set of added functions, but they really make a massive difference if you like to build.

Mordireus Axis, Phase and a couple figure selections will be available.

The full array will be in a different PVC color.

    4. Any chance for a Mordireus LSA or Dark Traveler?

      Delete
    5. The Dark Traveler mold is still lurking in the void for now.

I live for the more Narrative Designed figures! I feel like they force you to get more creative when you build with them also. Can’t wait!

    7. There's something about building with only the parts of a specific style figure that pushes the limits in some unexpected ways. I still have great memories of building crazy early Villser Mutations and Reflex Suits using only Pheyden and Exellis parts!

A lot of that spirit definitely lives on in this new figure, now with the added bonuses of having functions in the bottoms of the feet and the center of the back.

  5. To quote Liquid Snake, I've been waiting for this! Looks to be an exciting drop and the colors are fantastic. Any chance Skeleden will make an appearance? They would go so well together!

Congrats on 10 years of collabs.

    1. I imagine you'll generate some great creatures from these new parts!

No Skeleden in this round, he wanted to let some other horned freak have the run of the joint.

      At least for now.

  6. I'm examining this way too closely... It's production Pheyaos which is awesome but am I seeing an upgrade set like the Skeleden or a whole new figure?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That smooth shoulder (on Pheyaos right) looks like a Villser parts to me.

      Delete
    2. This guy is all new from horn to toe!

      Delete
    3. It's a little taller and beefier than Pheyden.

Pheyden comes in at around 2.75 inches tall and the new mutant is right at 3 inches and a pinch with the largest head horn.

    4. Looking through older realxhead pics from the blog has me curious, especially the CC creations...will this new figure have alternative limbs (like Skeleden) or an alt head by chance?

      Delete
    5. This figure is more simplified, like a Traveler, with a similar parts count (only the parts are slightly larger).

Mori and I really wanted the swapping to be easy and fun, but we also worked to maintain the sculptural aspects of the RxH brand.

No alt head, but there is an optional way to display what the figure's got.

    1. Buildman will visit next month and Sarvos later this year.

    2. Really hoping in retrospect that Buildman is LATE June, I love these figures but everyone dropped their waves at the same time and I don't think a lot of people can afford much right now.

  8. Cant wait! And super excited that the drop time is 8pm EST! THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!

  9. Congrats on the 10 year collaboration with RealxHead. I can't wait to see this drop. Always take a hour for GOT, right on.

  10. Well well well. Look who’s back.

  11. I'm so psyched to see this finally dropping after seeing the preproduction figure that one time at Glyos Camp.

Kudos to another great milestone in Glyos History.

  12. How many color selections this time?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. There will be three different styles of the new figure available.

      Delete
    2. With a word like Hybrid up in bold, may we see the return of the classic light blue?

      Delete
    3. Something with the light blue is in the works, but not for this round.

      Delete
  13. Well, this is unexpected! Will the newcomer be the only one on deck, or will other sculpts be thrown into the mix, too?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Just one all new sculpt, though there will be more action as the year rolls on.

      Delete
    2. And any of the older sculpts?

      Delete
    3. Well, I just caught your message about Glyarmor, Glyans, and Travelers being in this wave, alongside a KotS special, and that Gendrones will be back in May and Sarvos later this year, so...

      Miniborgs?

      Delete
    4. You'll be able to assemble a Miniborg from the parts in this wave. There's even a new Hub tampo that's ripe for the occasion!

      Delete
  14. From what I can see from the tease this mutant is looks very promising. Does the sculpt's asymmetry continue horn to toe?
Also, will there be a new mystery figure in the mix? Just wanna stay on track with those. Thanks

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The asymmetry follows closely to the source material, with some "mirrored" parts sprinkled throughout the lower body, but it mostly has unique weirdness on each side.

There will indeed be a new mystery figure.

      Delete
    2. Very interesting. Any chance this figure will have it's own "wearable" piece within it's parts count similar to the Traveler scarf or Villser belt?

As for the mystery figure, that's great to hear. Not to get specific about this drop's figure but I did want to ask about the lineup. Will we see any robotic entries in this particular series?

      Delete
    3. No packed-in wearable parts, just a strict mutant weirdo.

There will be a crossover, but not RF related.

The Gendrones will begin to resurface starting late next month, then they'll be picking up the pace in the second half of the year.

      Delete
    4. Any hints for the mystery figure, are you still digging through the Kenner Archives?

      Delete
  15. Any chance of a Chaos head included with Pheyaos?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Chaos has lent its DNA, but not its noggin. However, elements of the Chaos head design were incorporated in a "roundabout" way to allow for some options.

      Delete
  16. Will we know his name before the drop?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Happy anniversary! While I wasn't around for the very beginning, it has been quite the ride for a long time. Looking forward what's in store for this drop, as well as what the future holds!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Can't wait to see the new stuff and congratulations my friend!

    ReplyDelete
  19. This is gonna be epic! Can't wait to see the new fig!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Who else is joining Pheyaos this round?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You'll see some Glyarmor, Glyans, Travelers and a special crossover with KOTS in addition to the new figure's debut.

      Delete
    2. Oh man, please tell me we are getting another round of translucent Glyans!!! If we see Mordireus Glyans, my dreams will come true!!!

      Delete
    3. No Mordireus Glyans in this wave, though there's a good reason why we've been holding back on running that mold in a variety of translucents that will become more "clear" later this year.

      Delete
  21. Man, this is awesome! Wasn't expecting a new figure, especially one this cool! I'm curious to see if it fall in line with Pheydens or more like Buildmen and Villsers when it comes to building potential.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. We really tried to bridge the gap between the narrative style and building style of figures, but with the primary concentration being on the overall visual look of the character.

This aspect was particularly important due to its lineage and the original design principles that Mori and I share.

  23. I just read through the comments again and saw that this new fig will be in three different colors. Doh!

    Anywho...how much will these cost?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Mordireus Armorvor on deck? I know I'm dreaming...

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Armorvor action is almost ready to return, and when it does, I think you guys might be happy. Lots of stuff is in motion, with Sunday's new figure being among the first of the new blood for 2019.

      Delete
    2. Will we see a buildstation Armorvor in the future per chance? That would be pretty awesome!

      Delete
  25. a cross-over... hmmm... a Mordireus KotS?

  26. This is not what I was expecting to see today and I could not be more excited.
