🤩🤩🤩 Awesome!
ReplyDeleteThis is going to great
ReplyDeleteWoah, those are some mega Gendrone builds! Are we talking solid, translucent, or Glow PVC this round? Will the LSA be making their return?
ReplyDeleteSolid colors on these special Gendrone builds, but some translucent across other molds. No LSA yet.
DeleteWill the new Gendrones be metallic solids? Any build station offerings this round, maybe in translucent stealth, or smoke!?! Ive also been wondering if we'd be seeing some new Villser that matches with Pheyaos, it's a lot of fun to mash up those two molds from Wave 81, maybe in Oozarian green?
DeleteNo metallics or Buildstation in the mix, though I suppose the definition of what a proper Buildstation offering is could be debated.
DeleteThe Villser is still offworld, but Pheyaos will be in full effect.
I only have villser leeeeegs (pheydenstein and zullen taskmaster)
DeleteThat’s Cruelty.
Will we be getting the same selection of blank Pheyaos as well as a more heavily sprayed version?
DeleteI feel your pain Joseph. I'm crossing my fingers that when the Villser returns, it might bring with it some new parts!
Only one Pheyaos this time and no blanks.
DeleteThe Villser are keeping track of all the bastard legs that have been sneaking out of their Biovessel.
Those graphics! That music! Really intrigued, especially seeing a bit of an art teaser on Ralph’s Instagram
ReplyDeleteNew gendrone force defenders!! Or offenders!! Any chance of an OG gobon or three in this wave! Love the tunes.
ReplyDeleteNeed snake Tampo for lunar new year!
Personally I'd be delighted to see a return of the Mechabon! Also the glow in the dark blue PVC, especially in Axis Joints!
DeleteThough there's no Gobon action in this wave, that beefy bot will be returning later this year.
DeleteYou know I have to comment when it's a RF crossover. Are these full sets or partials? I see most of Maxx, but two use the same Zetonian parts mixed with Maxx and Neo Zeroid parts.
ReplyDeleteWill the Nazarran brain and Darkness Soldier head also be included somewhere? Will there be a break in the 'vors for this wallet breaking RF drop? Half awake minds need to know!
Yep, same question on full sets here after doing a mental parts check on those builds...especially if there will be multiple colors.
DeleteI've got a general idea on the KotS, am curious to see if my suspicions are correct on that head!
These special RF crossovers were selected to mix things up a bit and explore some of the options available by running specific mold combinations. The characters themselves are contained designs that utilize these alternative RF mold mash-ups.
DeleteEach RF based figure will not have any additional color matched accessories available (save maybe one), as the intended "challenge" is to see what you can come up with by only merging all three of them (though we will eventually show our specific contained combo build for those that may want a compass on the building adventure).
No Darkness Soldier heads will be available, but you may find a specially painted Nazarran head or two lurking around.
The Armorvors will uncharacteristically show a little mercy this time, with only one style appearing in the assortment.
The KOTS offerings are the culmination of our in-house contributions to the CyMa project, specifically focusing on the parts that the 4H's legendary Eric Treadaway and I developed and built for Jesse's baby. Lots of deep work went on for over a year on her. Those of you that recall the old Microshow project might get a kick out of what's on deck!
You used the words CyMa and Microshow in the same paragraph! This enthusiasm cannot be curbed!
Delete🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I look forward to seeing CyMa possibly become Microsoldier Ingram with the chainmail head. So the first figure (in a series possibly?) will be another kind of hybrid like Rift Renegade Construct (Rift + Device Ninja's HC kit) mixing a few different sets to get a more Micosoldier inspired end result. Should we expect more muted Real Type colors or something brighter with this wave?
DeleteWe'll keep the specific details on the KOTS selections close to the vest until Sunday (though I like the way you think), but you will definitely see muted, translucent and bright PVC across the wave.
DeleteReminds me of Hyper Light Drifter!
ReplyDeleteWill the renegades and Gendrones be involved?
No Renegades this time (they like to remain mostly in the shadows), but the Gendrones will be represented in the form of the RF crossovers.
DeleteInteresting. Not entirely what was expected when Gendrones first came up as returning for this wave.
ReplyDeleteWhat kinds of accessories and building opportunities will be on deck this time around?
We like to keep you on your toes!
DeleteThere will be two full accessory (Axis, Hub, Swing and Phase) color selections.
Oh dear. Does this include Glyarmor as well, or is that sitting out this round?
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteWill one of these full sets of accessories be in a translucent pvc?
Delete100%, and one of my favorite translucent hues to boot!
DeleteGlyarmor will be available in 2 colors, as sets only. However, each set will also have a corresponding Traveler offered separately.
DeleteReally like that video. Can’t wait to see what this drop holds.
ReplyDeleteMy wallet is READY!
ReplyDeleteThat's a heck of a KotS build. Looks like a renegade cape and two different KotS accessory sets + the main figure.
ReplyDeleteHow much to we need to budget for that monster?
Can't wait to see all of this unveiled! The silhouettes look very interesting and far removed from the usual builds we've seen.
ReplyDeleteThroughout the years of production, the contained build has become something of an obsession over here. Thanks to the tooling layouts and a healthy amount of luck, some pretty neat (and in some cases quite strange) contained iterations can be put together by running specific molds from the different Toyfinity characters, without having to run every part from every mold. This allows for some fun lateral movement when creating new mechanical forms without the shadow of bonkers pricing.
DeleteAnd the production options continue to open up when this approach spills into cross company builds, which we'll explore a bit more as the year gets rolling.
I'm looking forward to this. I'm constantly exploring contained builds to find new variations through restraint. Fresh part combinations could be some great inspiration for an untold number of designs. It's a great time to be around for this idea.
DeleteSame. I've been lax on getting into the Toyfinity molds, but this approach sounds like a great way to explore the building aspect without necessarily having all the larger pieces to contend with for contained builds.
DeleteDoes this mean, though, that we'll eventually see these component molds run as Accessory Sets or something similar?
The shadow of bonkers pricing was my favorite star wars novel
DeleteIt was definitely better than the awful Customs Part 2: The Warehouse of Lost Deliveries.
DeleteLooks kick ass! I love when the drops seem a bit more experimental, this is a fantastic theme and teaser
ReplyDeleteI think you might dig the triple build in particular that the silhouettes in the video form.
DeleteA day after I saw the video then watched it again, I thought to myself "Albegas?" I almost immediately dismissed it as too deep a cut even for Glyos... but things can get crazy-unpredictable beyond the Edge of Space ;3
DeleteYou know we have a penchant for appropriating Greek language around here...
DeleteHope there's some dregs left in Feb when I'll have cash
ReplyDeleteThings should hopefully stick around for a bit, though who knows with the advent of the Crafsman Effect!
DeleteI'm getting some Regi Trio vibes from those Gendrone golems! I might have to go heavy on this one just because of that...
