Those silhouettes contain a new chapter in the book of parts. Some funky elements are mixed in but there are also a number of callbacks to earlier work.
For all the other excitement — new build layouts, possibly a new sculpt entirely — I gotta say, these preview animations are pretty rad!
So, are these fellows affiliated with certain "renegade" forces, or are they carrying the "genesis" of a particular rogue sentience? Or are they a new faction altogether?
A little bit of each of those things are in play, without question.
The Renegades had to receive the call to "awaken" from somewhere (or someone) back in the day, right? Maybe that same transmission also passed through Sarvo Halos at some point as well.
That being said, are we going to see any other familiar robotic faces when these make their debut? Or are they sharing the spotlight with a more organic sort?
The Gendrones, for the most part, are watching from afar on this one. Although there will be some light Toyfinity RF action sprinkled throughout some of the selections.
Glad to hear Pheyaos will make a return. Wondering who will be there to defend against this new Trio, they seem like imposing foes. Will the Delphi be there to greet them or perhaps their progeny? Wouldn't mind seeing a new Amorvor or 3 as well. The last few days been enjoying my Core Stalker Venjorun and Cerreck Gorellux.
Wow, at first glance I thought these were three alternative builds, using parts from a single new figure. But upon further scrutiny, I think I see a Glyan, and at least the head of a Traveler. Are we talking subdued gray tones for PVC, any metallics in the mix? Year of the Robot baby!!!
The last few months I've been sinking my teeth into Circuits and Brains discography, the latest 'In My Eye' is stellar, really dig the opening track, and the Title song is truly a sonic journey. Also 'Wizards in Ice' might be one of my favorites of all time!
Are we looking at a famous United Glyan Coalition division? And are any of these sillhouetted fellas a mashup à la Neinboto or a contained build like Aigee?
Some kind of mutated hulking form of Sarvos I hope! After re-watching 'Soul of the Traveler' I'm Imagining some sort of cross-breed between Sarvos and an Armodoc.
My five year old enjoys playing with “Sarvy” and “Argy” and watching the old passcodes (Soul of the Traveler in particular). My two year old seems more interested in killing glyans. He did a number on a rig crew guy that may never recover. Good for him!
Hey! My comments work again! You guys can therefore disregard the email I sent about that. Sad to see Gendrones will be missing out, but I can't wait to see what new stuff is in store!
I've been going so nuts with vintage G.I. Joe lately I never noticed you updated the blog! Good thing I randomly checked today then LoL. Can't wait to see the new stuff Matt!
Can't wait for more images!
ReplyDeleteI see parts I know, but in unfamiliar (at least for now) arrangements. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteThose silhouettes contain a new chapter in the book of parts. Some funky elements are mixed in but there are also a number of callbacks to earlier work.
DeleteGood to see you back in action, missed you guys!
ReplyDeleteWe missed you guys too!

Now that's a name we haven't seen in a while!
DeleteThat being said, are we going to see any other familiar robotic faces when these make their debut? Or are they sharing the spotlight with a more organic sort?

Deleteloving the biomechanical/chaos vibe to those silhouettes
ReplyDeleteBiomechanical, imperfect and asymmetrical. The trifecta of weirdo science fiction, and you know we like it weird around here.
DeleteAsymmetrical is totally my jam. Looking forward to the drop!
DeleteBeen a while since we've seen Pheyaos, seems like he'd fit right in with this trio...on a scale of one-to-ten, how Bonkers will this drop be???
DeletePheyaos confirmation, 100%.
DeleteYou'll have to be the judge of the Bonkers Level that this wave reaches, but our aim is that it's a worthy return!
I do think you'll personally find some new things to have fun with, particularly in regard to your forward thinking build approach and clever themes.

DeleteWoohoo!!
ReplyDeleteMama Mia! I hopes there's new buildmen.
ReplyDeleteFrom a certain perspective, there will be.
DeleteWow, at first glance I thought these were three alternative builds, using parts from a single new figure. But upon further scrutiny, I think I see a Glyan, and at least the head of a Traveler. Are we talking subdued gray tones for PVC, any metallics in the mix? Year of the Robot baby!!!
ReplyDeleteThese shadows contain no previously offered parts, everything is new.
DeleteHues are somewhat subdued and also expand on some older color combos (sharp eared listeners might pick up a hint after watching the teaser above).
Naturally, we had to put some odd twists on the robot theme, so hopefully you'll have some fun exploring this new figure and all its twists and turns.
Was wondering if there was something to that "soul"-ful melody layered into the mix!
Delete(Speaking of, who handled the music for the teaser? It's a nice rearrangement!)
Mr. Circuits and Brains himself, Glen Schricker, handled the re-imagining of that original Disasterpeace tune. Both Glen and Rich absolutely rule.
DeleteThe last few months I've been sinking my teeth into Circuits and Brains discography, the latest 'In My Eye' is stellar, really dig the opening track, and the Title song is truly a sonic journey. Also 'Wizards in Ice' might be one of my favorites of all time!
DeleteHyped!
ReplyDeleteAre we looking at a famous United Glyan Coalition division? And are any of these sillhouetted fellas a mashup à la Neinboto or a contained build like Aigee?
ReplyDeleteWow, super hyped for those! Will you be able to resume deliveries to europe? Thinking of picking them all up for my Bday!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you back man.
ReplyDeleteAny chance of Sarvos making an appearance
ReplyDeleteThere will be some Sarvos action, indirectly.
DeleteSome kind of mutated hulking form of Sarvos I hope! After re-watching 'Soul of the Traveler' I'm Imagining some sort of cross-breed between Sarvos and an Armodoc.
DeleteAh, there's the magic word... I am here for more Sarvos.
DeleteAlways you and your Sarvos.
DeleteWelcome back to the land of moving parts! We’re expecting our own new arrival any day now. I look forward to meeting yours in a few days.
ReplyDeleteAny chance of gobon action this time around?
My five year old enjoys playing with “Sarvy” and “Argy” and watching the old passcodes (Soul of the Traveler in particular). My two year old seems more interested in killing glyans. He did a number on a rig crew guy that may never recover. Good for him!
DeleteThat's great news, Zen! I think soon you'll have more kiddos than we have molds!
DeleteAs far as Gobon goes, that beefy bot will be sitting this one out.
Your two year old must be an Armorvor at heart, wiping out those foolish Glyans with such ease. I like that kid already.
So cool! I’m feeling some killer android type vibes coming from them!
ReplyDeleteSeeing a new blog post from Team Onell gives me hope for happy times to come. 😁
ReplyDeleteIt helps to see you back at it, Matt. Hope all is well with you all.
ReplyDeleteHey! My comments work again! You guys can therefore disregard the email I sent about that. Sad to see Gendrones will be missing out, but I can't wait to see what new stuff is in store!
ReplyDeleteThe new crew have deep connections to the Gendrones, just maybe not the Gendrones you're used to seeing.
DeleteBack on March 7th RxD dropped a new Pheyaos in Japan. Will we get to see the newest member in the store over here and did it have an official name?
ReplyDeletehttps://www.instagram.com/p/CMLfxD6ndNe/
That was a special advanced release of Pheyaos for Mori's shop. We will also be offering that same style.
DeleteCan all new part molds be had in the trio? I can’t do a super splurge this time around sadly but I wanna lunge for the premiering stuff
ReplyDeleteAlso, villser back yet?
Each style of the new figure will come with all the same total parts count, so you can test drive everything with only one set.
DeleteThe Villser continue to hide.
Can't wait to see these new moulds! Super hyped for your glorious return!
ReplyDeleteI've been going so nuts with vintage G.I. Joe lately I never noticed you updated the blog! Good thing I randomly checked today then LoL. Can't wait to see the new stuff Matt!
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that we have such impeccable luck that 75% of the time we check this site, it's the literal day of the new drop?
