Sight Unseen

A small round of new stuff will be appearing in the store this Tuesday, February 23rd at 9:30PM EST.

There are definitely some obscure homages on deck for this wave!

  4. These look great! But why have the last few releases happened on a Tuesday? Why the change from Sundays?

    1. Thanks!

We made the recent switch to Tuesdays due to some internal scheduling changes. Over the years we've hit just about every day of the week!

Release dates will no doubt shift again in the future.

  6. Out of curiosity, what happens to the Jell-O after photoshoots like these?

  7. Really liking the looks of this wave. Some very Takara-esque vibes so far.

Don't know if I can make it in though. Budget's been super tight again. :/

    1. Hey Bry! Takara will forever be a source of inspiration and interest over here. Simply beyond influential.

The orange sparkle combo is a direct tribute to the lost Invader G design that appeared in the Myclone series from back in late 2002.

I absolutely loved the "alternate" characters and expanded classic themes that made up much of the SF Land Myclone selections. The final round that had the Deathcroids was particularly cool.

In general, the Myclone series still doesn't seem to get that much attention, even though it contained some really great figures.

    2. Remind me later to send a link or some pics of SVL's garage kits which took three of the MyClone designs and remade them into fully proportioned Microman figures. :) I've never collected the series myself (I just have a lone M102 Jack), but they are quite amazing! The sparkle did remind me of classic Invader figures and some Microman figures that used glitter. :)

The clear orange and silver also evokes M104 John. Fun stuff!

  8. Reminds me of the Rocklords Gemstones (Sunstone on this one) really nice!
