The Rocks

The areas in these shots continue to be major places I still play "games" in. You know, running around on the rocks at the age of 39, pretending that I'm on an alien planet while making a fool of myself.

  1. Looks like an old episode of Dr. Who may have been filmed there! Keep the shots coming!

    1. Thanks Pete! I watched Dr. Who when I was kid just a stone's throw away from where these pics were shot. Nice!

    1. Thanks Nate! The vinyl is fun to slop paint on. I spruced the above tank up back around February, so it has been waiting to get into the mix for a while!

  4. There is nothing wrong with running around untouched nature and finding some strain of an alien world there. In fact, some of us need to do it more often.

Am I mistaken, or does that lil' hovertank have a walker mode as well?

    1. The tank has a few modes. The walker and standard tank are the most useful, but there is also a Block transport mode as well. I might shoot another round this weekend and I'll get a pic of that form if I do.

  7. WHOA next time we visit, I have to check this place out. Excellent shots Matt & you'll have to show us how you built that little vehicle, I think it makes an excellent mini-mobile battle outpost.

I'd love to shoot a photo-comic at this location, it's the perfect set for one. Reminds me of some earlier times I had back in winter of 2009 when I'd take my Reverse Buildman and take photos of him on this giant rock near my job while I was working. It's immensely fun for me to do photography with toys, I really have to bunker down and take some random shots; sort of 1-story photographs that are like a snippet from a story.

    1. Thanks Chris! Hey, congratulations on tying the knot! Michelle showed me some pics on her Facebook and it looked like a great ceremony.

Next time you are visiting we can head up to Gloucester and check out the landscape. There are plenty of spots to play around on at the coast.

I'll take some detailed shots of the tank and pop them up next week. The tank is made from all Conversion Set parts.
