    Do those black boxy pieces have white squares painted on the insides? If so, they'd make decent floodlight pieces, like on the Destroid Excalibur Mk-IV.

    That is white paint on the inside of the boxes. There is also a secret fit function hidden within those backpack parts, as they can be stacked by connecting the sides of the backpack into the recessed area.
