  2. Oh I'm so happy. Limited on what I can plan for, but happy. Great art piece to start us off with, too.

Since Grimpool is confirmed to be on Jesse's site in the future, will Marc's DCon Halkenn + Hubbot be on Bit Figs?

    1. I'm in the same boat, been a long time coming... with the onslaught of new Glyos, money's getting tighter and tighter. I'll have to go relatively light this drop.

Excited to see what's coming though! Any big cross over surprises or killer colors this round? I know that we will most likely be seeing those black swing joints this drop, are we looking at a whole slew of new Satraku Glyarmored Glyninja's along with axis and phase arms? Will the Mystery figure #2 be out this drop?

    2. It's been a steady stream of stuff, no doubt! Hopefully the expansions have been fun for folks to follow, and maybe provided some new avenues of creativity to explore. Always remember, no pressure! Just pick up what you like!

That being said, our final wave of the year is pretty light, with almost everything landing at $11 and below, save one figure. No crossover figures this time, but some shared weapons will be in the mix.

Color-wise, we're looking at 6 different PVC base plastics, plus a few specific hues dedicated to the weapons selections. We tried to create a cohesive assortment that feels like a proper group when gathered together, but also tips the hat to some of our favorite popular series from growing up. Like a mega-ninja mash up!

      Should be fun!

Also, Mystery #2 will indeed be in this wave. Black Swing Joint Sets are also a lock!

    3. Marc's new mini assortment will be available over in the Culture Pirates store later in December. We had a great time putting that stuff together, and the color combo (Glyceptor Orange/ Gray) makes for some really neat builds, especially when you start mixing some of the other grays that have been run throughout 2018.

    4. I've been obsessed with the orange since Dcon, can't wait to grab more of it. Likewise looking forward to picking up some of the things not previewed there!

    5. Something about those orange hues really gets the building ideas flowing!

Was great hanging out at DCon!

  3. Im just going to guess black, blue, red, green, orange, gray.

  4. Black, red, green and gray are sure bets! No blue or orange (Marcus has that one covered in December).

    1. Great! What would you describe this green as? Will it include axis, swing, and hub set?

      Delete
    2. The green is in the olive hue family. A little on the darker side, kind of like anti-hero turtle skin.

The only accessory in this color is a set Of Axis Joints.

  5. Will Glyosynth be making any future appearances in the Onell store, or should we be looking elsewhere for those to appear?

    1. Is this something you can share with the rest of us, Amazing Larry?! Sorry, I couldn't resist.

We're getting our ducks in a row to offer the Glyosynth Pheyden and Buildman here on the site very soon, just hammering out a few more details before we make the official announcement. The whole family is beyond psyched about those figures!

      Delete
    2. What me and Mario talk about stays between me and Mario!

Good to hear about the Glyosynth figures, rumors were spreading that they would be hard to get outside of the conventions.

      Delete
    3. Both 1000toys and Onell want the Glyosynth figures to be available to all those that want them.

On some occasions, special limited editions may appear at certain events, but the general "Standard" styles were designed to hopefully meet any potential demand. We're just locking down the final details now.

      Delete
    4. I know it's probably still too early to answer before the official announcement, but will the "General Release" versions online possibly include more items per figure than the carded convention figures? I was surprised to see it was Buildman or Pheyden for DCon rather than both heads so you could already have two colorways of Pheyden or Buildman to enjoy.

      Delete
    5. We'll be offering the same versions that were available at the conventions.

Originally, they were each supposed to come with both heads, but in the end the decision was made to keep them dedicated characters for this initial production run.

Plans are in place for more characters, so we may see multiple heads when those surface.

  7. Love the animation on this post! Wish I had to scratch to make it to Dcon and meet everyone. Looks like it was a blast and a half! Would you and your crew ever head over here to Chicago for C2E2? That's where I met Marty and Brandon last year. They were my shepherds into glyos.

    1. Hey Adam! It would be awesome if you could make it out to the next DCon. The show is really geared for our end of the hobby and folks would love to see your custom work in person (I know I would!). A little raven told me that the 4H might be joining the party next year as well, so we could have a pretty wicked combined section in 2019!

C2E2 was fun the one year we attended, and Chicago is an incredible city to hang out in. We've been talking about maybe visiting again, but nothing is set in stone as of yet.

      Happy you dig the animation!

    2. It would be awesome if you came to C2E2!

  8. Agreed. That would be great! The majority of my custom work these days is Masters of the Universe original concepts, so being in the same room with the 4H would be a trip.

It would be a lot of fun having you guys in Chicago. Maybe find some gluten free pizza for Jesse if he makes the trip as well.

  10. Oh geez, and so soon after DCon, too! A boon for those of us who can never make it out to the West Coast this time of year, maybe? (And speaking of conventions, any odds that we'll ever see a Glyos invasion of the Five Points Festival?)

Anyway, the new colors sound promising. What are the Accessory Set loadouts for this run? Axis Joints for everything, and a complete run in one of the colorways?

    1. Five Axis Joint Sets and two Swing Joint Set colors will be available. No Hub Sets or Phase Arm Sets this time (they'll return in January). Keeping it lean to end the year!

We've been talking about FPF and C2E2, but no final decisions yet!

  11. "Though the mention of GI Joe based ninjas is relevant to another selection from this wave..."

Big question time: How many Glyninja are in the mix? I would guess two off the bat if you're looking at the classic pairing from Joe. Especially fitting if Slash is teamed up with one and Wolverine with another.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Three Glyninja will be reporting for action. One is a definite Joe tribute and two are more rooted in the classic comic books that we grew up with.

      Think Claremont/Miller.

    2. And now the gif makes total sense.

    3. We talking the Hand, or the Dare type ninja?

      Delete
    4. The Foot, The Hand ... The Wolverran just wants to crush the Clan!

      Delete
    5. Oh dude! I just figured out what the Gray might be used for! Oh shit! Now I've got to really start thinking about what else might be showing up...dare I ask it, will we be seeing any other TMNG inspired figures? I remember what happened last time the Foot appeared, total store crash!

      Delete
    6. There will be two TMNG themed figures, but one is probably not what you're thinking (maybe).

One of my personal favorites from this wave is definitely Marvel inspired, but it's also connected to a few other waves as well, story-wise.

  12. Dang it I guess I still have to wait for RECHLEN and AVES to track me down. I will just hang out here lost in glyospace.

    1. Every time Rechlen and Aves is mentioned the wait gets extended.

      Delete
    2. I'm just happy that anyone even thinks about Rechlen and Aves besides me!

We do have a few projects to complete before we start to play in that part of the system.

Don't get too lost out there in space, Aaron, you might miss when the Space Trappers finally get released!

      Delete
    3. Will the scale be increased or the same?

      Delete
    4. The Glyan was designed with many of Rechlen's aesthetics interwoven throughout the body forms.

The original plan was to eventually make a new set of head/torso/pelvis parts that would combine with the Glyan to make the individual Space Trappers. We even hid many of their Rigs within the Robo Force Kits, which we explored a bit, thematically, with the VRD story arcs.

Most likely we will follow the original plan outlined above (parts have been worked on), but there is also something neat about the original smaller scale.

It's a work in progress, for certain!

    3. The Villser will return in early 2019!

    4. So far sounds like a Glyan and Noboto/Quallerran heavy drop, any other molds being used this drop that we might not have seen in a while?

      Delete
    5. We wanted to really focus on pushing the Glyan and Noboto molds to new places this year, through experimental paint applications and a few different builds. We've been having a lot of fun delving deeper into what we can do with these old guys!

This final wave of 2018 rounds out the initiative with a nod to our collective love of all things Ninja.

2019 will bring back some molds that have been taking a little vacation, as well as see the introduction of a number of new ones.

      Delete
    6. Molds that have been on vacation huh? I wouldn't mind seeing a return of Elder Exellis and Govurom, especially since the latter seems awfully neglected in the overall fiction. Heck, I even came up with my own origin story for that ugly mug, and it involves Armin Shimerman and Rene Auberjoinois!

      Delete
    7. Elder Exellis and the LSA will return in 2019.

Govurom's mold was retired years ago, but the character still lurks around, like a space ghost, waiting for a new body to inhabit (as long as it's not Ferengi).

    3. Rez is right! Keep your eye on Cappy's site in December for some glorious green editions!

  16. Ok, that’s a new site for me, I’m going to have to get acquainted with. Thanks for the heads up, Rez and Matt! Pics look great, btw Matt, can’t wait for tonight’s release. Turtle power!
