Looking forward to seeing what strange things Gearius may encounter in his drifting with that shredded and travel worn cloak. Maybe something mechanical? Biological? Biomechanical? Precursors or their tech? And us he riding upon a new age rig composed entirely of sincridrones merged with avant garde limbbiod enhancements? Time will tell. Maybe he’ll find a Gobon.
Great looking teaser pic! I feel like we saw the Delphi tread similar terrain when their production version debuted almost 3 years ago, can we expect to see their return or any other faces we've not seen in a while? Also seeing Gearius in the tags, does that mean we'll be getting some neutrals and browns this round?
That well-traveled area is Gloucester in the "real" world and Granthan in the Glyos world.
Expect some newish brown action (that does not read well, ha) that balances between the shades we've run before, along with a special Delphi that's connected all the way back to the Soul of the Traveler Passcode from years ago.
Folks that have been around for some time might find the general assortment especially interesting.
A number of the figures/accessories will match up color-wise and have been designed to thematically build together as usual, along with a few curveballs and crossovers to round out a "medium" sized assortment.
Hello Matt, do you have a Delphi readiness update? I need to put a team together for a stealth mission against a smack-talking juveniles brick based army!
You will get some Delphi action! The particular one iwe have on deck is a personal favorite, with its origin and color selection dating all the way back to the early days of the custom Delphi from 2010.
Great photo, fun to see the use of that cloak. What friends or foes will Gearius encounter, Armorvors perhaps? It's been too long since we last saw that Gorellux sculpt. Curious if they'll be some classic Pheyden blue pvc in the mix, or are you exploring other classic colorways this wave?
Hey Chris! You'll see one of the special Armorvor heads tonight, 100%. Then keep an eye on Power Con for even more action concerning those somewhat elusive heads.
Praying for no delays, have a plane ride at 9:45, should be able to make an order from the runway lol. Don't be be afraid to delay drop by a day or so if things aren't running smoothly lol obviously I'm biased here, but seriously
I can see some similarities in one particlar face of Gauss and the Villser, and his limbs even have fused "axis" tech. Did the Gatekeepers make another attempt to bring Villser through the dimension gate, or was it someone elses doing?
While I was working on the Gauss Armor with Jesse D and his wildly talented core artists, one of the greatest parts of the experience was iterating on Gavin's main design as we figured out the final articulation and proportions, taking lots of time to infuse the whole figure with different little extra details that connected the "worlds" where it would exist.
The head that has the traces of a Villser was specifically designed to echo that character, as well as bits of the Voss. Since we all enjoy very similar influences, fusing our creative ideas usually works really well. In-story, there is also absolutely a reason for our "version" of the Gauss Armor to sport that alien looking noggin. Keep an eye on that Gauss arm blaster as well, it was designed to also serve as more than just a blaster.
Another fun secret aspect of the Gauss Armor project is the bald human head it comes with. That part was originally sculpted by Eric Treadaway of the 4H for the Glyan, based on drawings that Nate Baertsch and I had done some years back that focused on our in-house character we call Ruger. The sculpt actually has three versions, and the Gauss bald human head is only one of them, just scaled up. We hope to finally roll out Eric's original Glyan head sculpt in the near future.
Speaking of sculpting, watching the absolute next level sculpting by Bill Mancuso of the 4H unfold on the Gauss will serve as one of my favorite creative passages ever.
Always a sucker for a good nature shot!
ReplyDeleteDon't suppose we'll be seeing a return of the Renegades this go-around, will we?
The Renegades have been busy making new friends and exploring their collective ability to interface with different types of mechanical lifeforms.
DeleteAlways a good sign when diplomatic relations have taken a priority.
DeleteLooking forward to seeing what's coming on Sunday!
As we approach yet another anniversary, inquiring minds still would like to know: Will there be a 'lord to mangle?
ReplyDeleteNo mangling lords this time, but make sure to keep your eye on Toyfinity around Power Con.
DeleteA good week... just improved!
ReplyDeleteHopefully we can land the ship without difficulty come Sunday!

You're hitting on some of the themes that will be kicking around, no doubt!

Speaking of the assortment, will this wave be a builder focused one, or will it be on the smaller side?
DeleteA number of the figures/accessories will match up color-wise and have been designed to thematically build together as usual, along with a few curveballs and crossovers to round out a "medium" sized assortment.
DeleteAny glyans part of the force this time around?
ReplyDeleteGlyans will be in represented, with a little extra fun mixed into the offering.

ReplyDeleteAn Armovor will indeed be joining Gearius on his existential return to Granthan and will feature one of the special heads along the standard wolf.
DeleteIf Pheyden blue is your wish, then it looks like it's also our command,
Any other vibrant or translucent PVC colors this round?
DeleteThere are technically 7 different PVC colors in this wave. Nothing translucent, but there are a couple of rich hues sprinkled in.
DeleteI am honestly curious if the Granthans would get a chance to resurface from their retirement an updated head to take on the Delphi.
Deleteare those shoulder pauldrons new parts?
ReplyDeleteGearius received that "modified poncho armor" from an enigmatic source.
DeleteAre any of the Battle Beast animal heads coming back into the mix? I love that Arthodak head so much, my pirate crew needs more shipmates!

ReplyDeleteWe may have a small batch of items to share. Looking forward to the event!

ReplyDeleteThe Granthan Gauss sensors are registering high levels of magnetic flux density...
ReplyDeleteYour Gauss sensor seems to be working, though the classification of the "type" might need a little fine tuning ...

A dream project, through and through.
I love background info on the design and creation of Glyos toys. Thank you!
DeleteThanks Gary! One day we might explore some serious Micro/Henshin action if we finally take another run at the "human" head.
DeleteAre there going to be any buildmen in this drop?
ReplyDeleteNo Buildman action this time.
DeleteHere is hoping to a smooth drop on your end
Deleteuughh we just had to have delays didn't we
ReplyDeleteGot it!
