The black PVC matches up closely with the more recent runs, with a rich and deep true black hue. Along with the GITD green PVC there will also be another FX plastic which we've run a version of before. Be ready for a curveball as well!
I think it's an objective statement that we're all short a few marbles these days, but that's sort of what keeps things interesting.
Funny you should mention marbles, as there are so many good effects that inspire within them, sometimes they even look like there's semi transparent silver trapped inside.
Hades has stayed true to their colours over the years while rivals have varied, are we going to see them in a callback to a previous colourway or something new entirely? And if my eyes aren't decieving this will be my first chance at snagging a Buildman, I can't wait! Could there be other firsts too, maybe a Mechabon or Phaseon?
So we can expect, Glow, and Black and some type of purple (REDLAW?) translucent PVC. Any other wild colors on deck, and more to the point any of that gorgeous minty metallic Villsercore green!?! Maybe a Delphi noggin in the mix as well?
There will be a total of 4 different PVC colors available, including the black and GITD green. The semi transparent color in this round is a slightly new take on something we've run before, updated to match the Hades/Argen team theme. The fourth PVC is specific to one figure, but it has a load of parts packed with it for many optional forms.
The Delphi are going to have their hands full in Wave 100, so they only lent their armor (or had it stolen) for this round.
I'm looking forward to the reveal of both the SFX and the wild card colors! Will we be seeing a fully kitted out Sincroborg w/armor this wave? If yes, will there be multiple instances or one color?
Parts of the Sincroborg and Sincro Armor will show up combined with other figures.
Their technology has been spreading into multiple systems since they appeared, which has been a point of concern for "The Ones Beyond" the Edge of Space.
Nothing like arguing with Google for half a day to be able to comment while signed in.
Gary borrowed my first question about guests so I shall move on to the true question plaguing us all. Glyan Spectre Commando came out in Wave 58 yet the only glowing Swings were way back in Wave 32. Will we finally see a second edition of Spectre Swing Joint Sets? Can our Spectre Commandos finally achieve sleek smooth swinging Nirvana free of the bulky Axis Armored crunch?
(Also Rechlen & Aves Wave 100 appearance or Bust. Bring a new Glip along, too. The Space Trappers must finally happen in some form.)
You'll see GITD green Axis and Phase Arm Sets for accessories in that vein, but not Swing or Hub action. However, there will be the full assortment of accessories in another special FX PVC.
As far as Rechlen and Aves go, maybe we'll nose into that part of things as next year unfolds. In the meantime, expect some strange new characters to emerge for Wave 100.
Hi Matt, For panel lining at home would you recommend a rub or a wash or paint? I am looking to emulate early wave panel lining, the bolder/heavier style used on the harder pvc type figures. Go Team Argen!!
For high durability I've found that vinyl automotive paint works the best. For a much wider color variety, Tamiya always provided some good options, just not the strongest stuff for bonding. Some folks have used Gundam markers as well.
I use VHT Vinyl Dye. It seems to be as durable as factory paint, and my only complaint is the very limited color palette. Do you have any suggestions for alternative brands?
Another couple looming questions to ponder are who or what came before the Delphi, what exactly goes on in the other "systems" and how are they connected to the Glyos System?
Will we ever see an Elder Exellis meet a young Exellis in some time shift story? That would be epic. Throwback drop would be cool too with oldies, but goodies perhaps all vamped up.
Whoa! HE'S BACK.
ReplyDeleteCan we expect a glyan this time to go with the momentus return of the big buildman himself?
ReplyDeleteTo some degree, the answer is both yes and no, though the build potential across multiple mold selections will be fairly healthy.
DeleteWOAH!! Hades is back! Awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great art, Ryan! Your inking technique is admired beyond even the Edge of Space!
DeleteNeat! Good to see things kicking off in glowing regalia for Wave 99!
ReplyDeletewill it be a variation of black, or will the black in this wave match previous ones?

DeleteNah I’d win
ReplyDeleteHades vs Argenesis for all the marbles. That’s good, for my marbles are forever lost and I’m in need of more.
ReplyDeleteI think it's an objective statement that we're all short a few marbles these days, but that's sort of what keeps things interesting.
DeleteFunny you should mention marbles, as there are so many good effects that inspire within them, sometimes they even look like there's semi transparent silver trapped inside.
I see what you did there. Add XYCOSS or REDLAW to the mix and I’ll break out the hungry hungry hippos!
DeleteAny Manglord or Kaisyriax outbreaks in this wave?
ReplyDeleteAffirmative on those Kaisyriax reports!

Hades seems to prefer that certain look (he's stubborn), but Argen likes to change things up a bit.
DeleteYou will definitely see Gendrone action on the menu, along with some fun little combinations of older parts.

ReplyDeleteHades and Argen teaming up again, you love to see it <3

I would love to see Rechlen & Aves for wave 100

This news is INCREDIBLE!! I can't wait to see some Space Trappers on this blog!!!
DeleteDoes "new characters" include a white 'aos figure with some new parts sitting on your desk in early November? The new kit looks very promising.

DeleteThe brand I used for years was called PlastiKote, but that was mainly used for the base paint to create a strong bond to layer on top of.
DeleteIf you take proper precautions with the VERY toxic solvent, Vinyl Wonder is factory quality PVC paint
DeleteTo follow-up Jeremy's comment, Crafsman shows off Vinyl Wonder's durability briefly on a Glyos figure with his new Sofubi video

Oh baby!!! Any Vors this drop?
ReplyDeleteThe Armorvors are currently regrouping for their return in early 2024.
DeleteWaitaminute, Delphi and Vor's return early next year...hmmm...sounds like the Delphi have unfinished business with their progeny.
DeleteAnother couple looming questions to ponder are who or what came before the Delphi, what exactly goes on in the other "systems" and how are they connected to the Glyos System?
DeleteSounds like Wave 100 and beyond are going to expand on lore hinted at in Record of the Delphi, i.e. the Delphi's Masters. Man, I'm in!!
DeleteGobon this round?
ReplyDeleteGobon is rotund
DeleteNo appearance by the rotund one this time.
DeleteWill there be a blank or near blank Pheyden in this run?
ReplyDeleteAffirmative on a "low paint" figure, with some extra options included.
DeleteAlways a good day when there is a drop!
ReplyDeleteWill we ever see an Elder Exellis meet a young Exellis in some time shift story? That would be epic. Throwback drop would be cool too with oldies, but goodies perhaps all vamped up.
ReplyDeleteHmm..it might be time for me to grab another Hades Pheyden. I think that glowing headed marauder is easily one of my all time favorites.
ReplyDeleteim so freakin hyped bros
ReplyDeleteNo previews yet?
ReplyDeleteWill there be any black swing-joints? because I am in DESPERATE need... ^_^'
ReplyDeleteWe're rolling this wave out Christmas morning style, so everything will be revealed at the whistle!
DeleteI love it, Matt!
DeleteI guess i was naughty
DeleteWhat color way is the phanost core clone?
