Should have pics of just about all of them posted before the launch, a few will remain secret until later. Walker stopped by the house today with something very cool that will be revealed at SDCC. Space continues to be the theme of many collaborative projects lately... space and domes.
For some reason, "space and domes" makes me think of old conceptual artwork for moon colonies and such. Structural cousins to Epcot, that sort of thing.
I just hope those of us not able to attend will get to see some of the SDCC surprises...please post some photos of stuff before it gets sold out there, heh!
Walker has been working like a beast preparing for SDCC. Even with his workload he managed to put in a ton of time on this wave of Armodocs. These meatballs have crazy amounts of paint applied in very subtle ways. Some pop a bit more than others in the photos, but they are all extremely well crafted, as well as being one of kind. I'm very excited to see what he does with the "classified" project that is now in his hands. Not many people know how much Matt is into the older space toy lines and classic robot tin. He is truly a fan of everything from the original OSM to Billy Blastoff to Major Matt Mason. All these flavors get mixed up when he's painting and the results are always killer. We'll make sure to document the squadron of chaos throughout the show!
The project Matt's working on wouldn't be something like this ? http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_-EMuVgV-Fk0/TCZWc_mXmaI/AAAAAAAAA2Y/aYRMq5vnVSA/s1600/teaser.jpg

ReplyDeleteI like the one that took a shower in Captain America's melted remains.
ReplyDeleteGroovy. Will we be able to get pics of all of them before the CC store goes live?

ReplyDeleteI am excited beyond words for this. I only hope it's successful enough to warrant a non-SDCC wave of whatever he's planning...
I love the Blue/ Clear bleeding Armodoc.
