Dimensional Duplications

Recalibrate and replicate, this Thursday, March 7th at 9:30PM EST!

Slight delay due to the driveway trying to eat the forklift.

Pics will start at 6PM!

  1. The one that looks like rolling hills keeps reminding me of the buildings in the background of Marc's MvR 8-bit gif.

    1. We seem to like creating variations of those Robo-hills around here!

Also, we're both pretty impressed you remembered that old animated GIF!

  2. The round shapes make me think that either a beloved round robot will be making an appearance, or that some more biological beasties are inbound...

    1. The shapes in the above animation have some significance on a few different levels, but if you catch the specific homage, they'll really come into sharper focus.

    1. No LSA, but the Gendrones will have some representation in a special form of the Robo Force-born GF Defender.

  4. Damn, gonna be working that night, hope stock holds up 'til I make it home. Will this be the return of the Villser with some new appendages?

    1. Things should stick around, though it's a slightly smaller assortment than usual, as far as selection goes.

There will be a little Villser action, but no new parts just yet. That being said, the Villser for this round might make long time fans of big alien bad guys that fight transforming planes piloted by Micronians smile.

    2. Hmmm...so will there be any new parts showing up this round, perhaps something that might 'sinc' up with the this rounds homage?

    3. No new mold in this wave, but that's on deck for next month -if things stay on track.

  5. I'm honestly hoping for the return of sarvos and phanost one day. I started collecting glyos last year and I really wanted them to return since they are great designs! At least via buildstation would be nice?

    1. Sarvos and Phanost will return again this year, but not in this wave. However, there will be a version of Neo Sarvos available.

I'm happy you dig those designs!

    3. Thanks for the reply! Also, is it possible for the rig or the armorvor to return someday? (Not specifically this wave, but some other time in the year? Also armodoc.)

      Delete
    4. The Armorvors have been watching from the shadows, waiting for just the right time to strike again.

Translation: You will see the return of the Armorvor this year, 100%!

  7. Lynn Minmeyden...I’ll leave now. Kids have drained all sanity. One ripped a baby tooth out opening a figure yesterday. That’s a first.

    1. For real?! What figure earned the honor of ripping that tooth loose?

The concept of a Minmeyden has now been committed, for better or worse, to the Brain Dungeon.

  8. Really hope to see some little robots like the mini borg!

    1. There is a new smaller build within the wave, though it's being offered with another figure.

Always messing with mini-builds around here!

    2. Loved the Miniborg! Incredible articulation in such a compact build. There was also an un-named mini build that came with Argenesis Xycoss in Wave 69...I almost said unintentional, but it was such a cool little humanoid looking guy, had to be intentional.

    3. Charles! Years ago, there was almost an entire wave of mini builds, ranging from micro ships to small tanks and compact mechs. Spent a lot of time actually making the builds and painting them, but the wave was shelved for a variety of reasons.

However, this lost Minibuild wave actually did inspire the creation of a very small interchangeable mini figure, but scaled to play with our regular guys. These diminutive characters would take control of Gendrones by connecting their tiny arms (which had a male fit function acting as a "master key") into any female function and reconfigure the hijacked Gendrones into vehicles and small scale walkers and the like. Like little parasitic thieves.

We would still love to explore the concept one day in full production. Pj even made a few casts off the original master, which in its final form actually had 4 working fit functions, and was just an inch tall!

    4. You showed me some pics of these at DCon and they were absolutely awesome! Hope to see something like it some day.

    5. So cool, love to see these someday! Always enjoy the variety of scales figuring into the Glyoverse

      Delete
    6. I really love the idea of a mini glyos compatible parasites, very cool notion would be glad to see these creep into a future release!

      Delete
    7. We originally thought offering little packs of them would be the best way to rollout, maybe 3 per set. The prototypes are really tiny (one could stand on Pheyden's left hand).

    9. That is crazy small for a figure with that much functionality. I've got a feeling the folks over at The Mini Figure Militia would lose their minds over such a thing. The set could come with a bonus drill bit so we could bore out a hole in Pheyden's skull, for them to latch on to!

  9. I know I ask this every drop now, but will there be Buildstation stock?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. We've been gearing up for a larger Buildstation restock in an upcoming wave, but this round is fairly specific in its execution.

As we get rolling and lock into the rhythm of the year, you'll begin to see more frequent additions to the Buildstation popping up.

  10. More Robo Force is music to my ears. I can’t wait to see what color we get to add to palette. Will there be any matching add-on kits to pair with the RF kits?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The usual full accessory assortment (Axis, Swing, Phase Arm and Hub) will match the RF Kit. I think you'll dig the hue, particularly with your building wizardry and eye for Real Type configurations.

  11. rechlin and aves would be a great addition to any drop!!! hopefuly this one.. lost in space!!!!!!

      Just messing with you.

      I meant 3 years.

    4. i cant help it. even though i jinx it every time i still cant help it, ever since i got lost in this sector of glyospace i have been hoping to be rescued by the best space hunters in the known universe... lost in space for 8 years now and it is always a blast. thanks for everything you guys do its been a blast so far and i will be here another 8 years if thats what it takes to catch up with those two...

  12. Tampo game is strong! Still trying to figure out the homage. Figuring out the riddles behind an upcoming drop really builds the anticipation in a good way. I think I'm in the minority of folks who dig the surprise. Always glad to see a Gendrone heavy drop. Will we see matching accessories?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think it's good to have a little riddle to solve here and there.

The only Gendrone in the wave is the GF Defender this time, which is our form of the Toyfinity RF Kit. However, the presentation is a little different than usual. Nothing bonkers, but kind of neat. The full accessory assortment matches this kit.

      Delete
    2. Will there be any Glyans, maybe to match the RF kit?

      Delete
    3. Glyans will be present!

  13. Assuming series 2 continues, is there a teaser you're willing to give about the next Mystery figure?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I can tell you this about the next Mystery figure, "he doesn't like you ...".

Of course, I don't share the little bugger's opinion.

Maybe it's the blunted tusks that make him grumpy.

      Or that orange galactic half-hoodie.

      Delete
    2. "I don't like you either, you just watch yourself. We're wanted men!"

      Delete
    3. Ah, understood. Looks like the fit function will come in "handy" if anybody decides his attitude is over the top.

      Delete
    4. I've been looking forward to this one since the series started! :D How many total will be in this mystery series?

      Delete
    5. ^Same question I have, I'm hoping through the year

    6. We do have plans for some more Mystery figure action. There's still so many classics to draw from!

  14. Bronchitis won't stop me from getting at this drop!!

Any chance of a 'standard' Traveler in this wave, just a random Pheyden or something? I'm finding myself more and more interested in those little guys, seemingly bystanders while everyone is excited for the big things, but to me, they always end up stealing the show.

    1. There will be some Traveler action, via a Glyarmor selection.

If you want a Traveler with no armor, maybe nose around the "mysterious" part of the store on Thursday night.

    1. Volkriun Green, mustard, plum and light purple are the main colors for this wave, along with a couple extra hues sprinkled in the mix.

      Delete
    2. Will the Volkriun green match the Task Force Volkriun green from last year?

      Delete
    3. I hope so, it's a great green. I hope the plum is similar to the Mutorius purple, too.

      Delete
    4. Will we be seeing any other accessories in the other colors?

      Delete
    5. The green does match the previous Volkriun green.
Axis Joint Sets will be available in most of the PVC hues.

      Delete
    6. That's GREAT! The last Volkriun was the wave just before I discovered Glyos, and I loved the color. Very excited.

  16. I'm seeing Mardi Gras colors (green, purple, and gold), and today is Mardi Gras. Coincidence?

Makes me think of Mutorius Raiders, my favorite colorway ever...precisely because of the Mardi Gras feel.

  17. I can't imagine we'll see a Darkness Soldier crossover this time with no Neo Zeroid available for the matching head. The new Toy Pizza D.Rat seems like a lock to see at some point with how often the Knights stop by. Could I possibly request a crossover from Battle Tribes and Wor in the future? The Kabuto Mushi got the special touch once for fantasy and I'd love to see the full treatment for Bog-Nar, the Barbarian, and Co.

    ReplyDelete
  18. We love BT and WoW big time over here! The crossover idea has been kicked around a number of times and eventually the Zorennor Rift will open just long enough for some of those characters to sneak through and cause some trouble.

    2. Was unloading a transfer switch for Michelle's dad (nicknamed old Boss) in what should have been a routine operation which I've done hundreds of times for over 20 years. Of course today, the driveway decided to collapse from the extreme weather craziness around these parts.

Six hours later we managed to free the damn beast thanks to Boss and his rustbucket tractor's battering ram power.

Smashed up my hands so the usual spastic final photo edits were a little slower. Luckily this is a pretty compact wave!

    3. Matt... Old Boss sounds like a fantastic character. ;-)
