That says it all, we need one more to nail this thing. Marc and I have been cranking on this for weeks, and the finish line is here. We had a few last minute additions that we would not want you guys to miss. It seems to be our ritual to take it to the wire every damn time....but we love every minute of it. Thanks for staying in the delivery room for one more day. As was said before, this sucker is large!

We all know it will be worth the wait Matt, I'm almost foaming at the mouth for this stuff by now. Any chance you might set an estimated time of drop for tomorrow? Even a late one so you know things will be ready, or at least a time when we can all start REALLY reloading and paying attention.

ReplyDeleteHey guys, the drop is on track for tonight, hopefully early evening (EST). Marc and I are checking everything over so things go easy. We are using the new inventory control system (which we tried with the last Pheyaos Man release) so that should help a ton. Though it also means that keeping stuff in your cart for later purchases will not work anymore. This is the largest amount of product that we have put out at one time, so solid prep is essential to make it work right.

ReplyDeleteQuick update, we are at the finish line. The final tweaks and trouble shooting are happening right now. As soon as the details are tight everything will be activated. It will be closer to midnight but if everything lines up it may be a bit earlier. Thanks guys! We are psyched for this one!

ReplyDeleteWorking out the last tweaks, inventory is loaded and all files are being tested. The game is done! It will spill over past midnight, more towards 1AM. Yeah, it's classic craziness, but we pushed the game (which is a full on Passcode) as hard as we could.
ReplyDeleteWe are so thankful to all of you guys who are staying up with us for this launch. I feel the bonds between all of us get even stronger because we really share these experiences together. Marcus and I wanted to bring things up a notch on this one and hopefully we did.

ReplyDeleteThe Onell team seem to be real perfectionists when it comes to these releases, this means that it won't "go-live" until it's perfect. So it can take a little longer than expected, but the end result is always awesome and well worth the wait! The longer it takes the better the overall result!

ReplyDeleteI know this seems like a bastard of a thing, but just a little more -as in an hour. We're both busting ass to get all the parts loaded up. To help speed things along when it goes live we've added "skip" buttons to the game so you can make your way right to the secret stuff at the end and play the game when it's not crazy hour. As with anything worth doing, it has to be done right, and we will not stop until it is up. I hope the wild nature of this is at least slightly exciting. We won't let you guys down.

ReplyDeleteThis evening when they said it would be closer to midnight rather than evening, that was a slight inconvenience.
At midnight when they said 1:00am, that was kind of pushing it.
At 1:00am when they said there's another hour to go still, that's asking too much for too many.
This just isn't working out for some of the most diehard Glyos fans . It's unfortunate that people who stayed by their computers from the early afternoon all the way up to 2:00am still might not get the figures they wanted because of all these delays.
Great work on the figures, truly, but not so great work on the timing of this thing.
I'm in it for the long haul, but I truly feel for those who had to drop out. It's just such a sad thing to see...

ReplyDeleteThe difference is that the stores never told you they would open at a certain time, then every hour on the hour tell you that opening will be pushed back another hour.
I'm still excited for this drop, don't get me wrong, I don't mean to be hatin' on the guys at Onell or anything, just giving my two cents about the whole situation.

ReplyDeleteI been over at the forum answering questions and keeping the updates coming. Matt, I'm sorry this has been rough on you, it's been rough on us as well. Part of doing business here is that we are not always going to hit every deadline, as much as it sucks. If I could have increased the speed I would have done that instantly. Marc and I have been uploading this beast and hammering out all the bumps. If this kind of thing bothers you to much you may be in the wrong area, it's crazy here! Seriously, I'm sorry for the delays, but we're scrambling here to finish. i hope you still get a tiny charge when it does appear (and you are gray haired and I'm in the ground). Try to have a small laugh about it, I guarantee you would chuckle if you saw the level of sweat pouring out of two overtired nerds. Chin up!
