DeleteFor some reason, I'm not that excited about this drop. I love the ideas behind the hubs and such, but the pictures just aren't pulling me in. Maybe a basic fig or 2, but I plan on sitting this one out for the most part.

DeleteThis wave is paying homage to MMM, OSM, 2001, Fisher Price and the works of Ralph Mcquarrie and Moebius.
Especially those suit designs in the first Alien (you nailed it Charles).
Moebius was beyond measure as an artist.
All the influences here is exactly why this drop is speaking to me in a great way! Can't wait to put the orders in!

DeleteEach is unique, suited for a different issue that needs coping with. But the most recent was 2 Axis Joints and most of 2 Glyans and 4 Phase Arms. Best suited for hunting down and eliminating the Frustrators. :) Most often, once a mission has been accomplished, their essence returns to the Sea of Parts, awaiting the next issue to be dealt with in a new configuration.

ReplyDeleteMmm...interesting...but the armodoc, in my Fantasy is a tecno-organic being...glyan are the largest empire in glyos galaxy, i hope, for the future, that you made the voss, is a model that is impressed in my memory from the first time.

ReplyDeleteWhen I see those colors together, with the light blue, I just shrink back down to a little kid when I was walking in Toys 'R' Us with my mom. I get a Starcom vibe off of this guy, definitely a close grey to some of the figures I had growing up. Matt these are just pure 100% perfect color choices on this. I can't wait to see what else is coming down the pipe for Friday. I know Beth is excited for the potential of new Crayboth.

ReplyDeleteMan oh man!!! I've been waiting for a drop like this to sink my teeth into! I have always loved the original colors of Pheyden and Exellis (and the color Grey in general), and those are the colors I have based my core collection on...

Prepared to drop some cheddar on this one (just hope I can get on in-time to grab some of the new stuff).

Awesome. I've been going into Armodoc withdrawal with all the Rig love as of late. I'm stoked to see this sculpt return to the store (hoping for some Legion tampo'd figs in the future.)
ReplyDeleteI also like this gray as well. That mono wave gray had a bit too much blue in it for my tastes but this is perfect, imo.
Ok that glyan shot has me reallly wanting to break into your house. I would never, but you a pushing me real close with these! Haha. That touch of blue is fantastic. Time to sell more blood and eat only ramen.

ReplyDeleteMan, that grey colors combination is killer! They looks so clean and aseptic, like space suits from old sci-fi movies or serials.
And I'm so psyched about the travellers return! Yay!
Very curious to see the rest of the drop and how the new connectors work out. These are some of the best opaque color schemes I've seen yet in Glyos. Reminds me a lot of Aramaki Shinji's stuff and the Biosuit's Hyper Microman figures.

I'm going to miss the hub sets, I'm going to miss everything... why do I always have plans on the drop days? I really want hub sets...

ReplyDeleteMichael, it looks like the Deep Space Glyans are simply builds using a single Glyan with a single Hub Set. You might not have much to worry about...
DeleteI see it now too, didn't realize the Deep Space Glyan helmet was 2 parts until I looked at it again. I'm curious as to the reverse colorway will look like. That dark grey with the off-white will look killer. I know I have a idea for a good color choice of the darker gray's visor so I hope I'm right.
