    1. Glyaxia was a pretty beefy one. This is the first time we have run every mold at once though.
There might just be a fully painted, two tone, extra painted areas Crayboth in the mix, just for you Cappy...

    2. Don't tease, Matt, don't tease.
*Cappy breathes deeply to slow his heart rate*
      ... it's not working.

    3. New Crayboth!?!? I know Beth will be excited to hear this news, those little guys rock socks. ^_^

  2. God damn my wallet. Are the deep space Glyans coming with their original heads? Will hopefully lower my total if that's the case

    ReplyDelete

    1. They do come with their 2 standard heads as well.
The painted dome is only on these DSG versions. The regular Hub Sets are the same, just minus that particular painted area.

  3. Overload!! What to choose!?!?!

  4. So Matt, you guys take payments in blood, right? I've got about 7 pints to spare plus some cash. That should be enough for everything. Right? lol

All jokes aside, AMAZING, simply amazing! I wish I could buy them all.

  5. Holy mother of Glyos.

    I love this colorway!

Any chance a Aqua Green Armodoc got left out of the details?

    1. Thanks! Only one Armodoc in this round. I think this vinyl assault has reached maximum overload already (though there might be room for a few small things yet).

  6. HooHa! This is going to be a doozy! Can't wait!

  7. WOW, did not expect all of this. It's going to be awesome & worrisome

Time to buy more shelve to make room

  8. Everything looks great, Matt! We'll be driving fast and furious to get home from Minnesota in time!!! :D

Your gift for designing these figs is only exceeded by your eye for color schemes. Each time you drop a new paint scheme, I fall in love again!

  9. I still wish the Core Block were at least half its price. I'd love to have just one for Microman-esque carrying case purposes.

  10. Also, are there going to be restocks of standard colourways like black, white, and clear for the Axis Joints and Phase Arms?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Black, Clear and GITD Phase Arms are still in stock, as are Black and Clear Axis Joints. There will be some little restocks in the Buildstation sometime in late April/early May though.

    2. Alrighty, and thank you! Mostly was wanting some White ones, but where there's a clear, there's a paintbrush waiting to make it any colour, any opacity.

  11. @_@

    What a incredible line-up!

I have one big question: can anyone tell me if this grey matches the grey from the EMD color scheme? I want to buy some of the armodocs and harvest their limbs for my EMD vinyl pieces...

    1. My jaw literally dropped when looking at all this.

I DO have an EMD related question as well for you Matt:

I remember you being unsure about how the vinyl blocks and such would go over, and obviously they are a huge hit. Since the originals were produced in such lower numbers(and we were limited to 2) I can't help but feel like we never got to experience the true potential of EMD building. Since you've said that some of these items were originally planned for the EMD drop/colors, can we expect to ever have them in the EMD colorway, and perhaps other matching vinyl(EMD block mk.2!)?

I don't want it to sound like I'm displeased with this hugeee drop at all, far from it! But I hope to someday be able to have a more sizable EMD base to stand next to this one that I'll be building shortly :)

Oh, yeah, thanks for making the best damn toys out there.

    2. Thanks for the feedback Rez! I'll let this slip for you: There is a VERY good chance that some EMD color matched Wedges and Switch Pins will be in the store on Friday. The EMD grey is Cool Grey 8C, which is the same as the darker grey in this wave.

    3. I KNOW YOU ARE A MARRIED MAN BUT I LOVE YOU RIGHT NOW! Also I prefer women. BUT NOT RIGHT NOW!

      Delete
    4. More... EMD vinyl?!? Matt, you are diabolical! In the good way, of course. So pretty much, I'm just gonna give you all my money on Friday. K, THANKS.

  12. Sweet merciful CRAP. Doughty you magnificent bastid, you've truly out-done yourself with this drop. You 100% completely captured the color of "space exploration" with this drop, & I have to make a Rubik's snake out of the Vinyl Wedge Hub. What's 24 x $4.00 O_o??

Everything came out great, the colors look awesome & these switch pins are really going to be game changers for how we build things from now on. Can't wait for Friday, I hope your servers can handle the influx of traffic. O_O

    1. Thanks Chris! I actually made a Rubik's snake from the Wedges and there are some interesting differences in the final results.
Since the measurement on the Rubik's snake triangles is different than the Wedge, the final builds are different as well. When you make the ball for example, a space is actually left in the middle if the structure, big enough to fit a figure. By using the Switch Pins to secure it, you end up with a truly crazy vinyl ball like ship! Creating displays is also fun if you recreate the snake, as multi leveled table looking things can be made.
I'm sure you will make something that none of us have even thought of yet!

      Delete
    2. Since you need 23 Switch Pins, too....
$119 for a Snake. I wonder if you'd get some sort of discount for buying in bulk?

      Delete
    3. SWEET!! I was so stoked about these wedges being able to make a Rubik's snake that I made a little Glyonaut & put him in my Rubik's snake in different configurations to get an idea on how to build with these wedges. Photos should be up on my blog by the time you read this.

Ooooo that's so freaking cool. O_O The way I'm imagining the "Hub Snake" is it's a pseudo-sentient robot that can re-configure itself into different configurations to fight enemies or transport Deep Space Glyans around. How big are these triangles VS the Rubik's snake has?

Matt half the time when I make up random crap, it's stuff even I'VE not thought of yet. It's still so awesome that you can make a rubik's snake out of these things, AND what makes it even MORE amazing is you can add more wedges to the larger flat side due to the connection point there. So all those flat spots on a rubik's snake can now have other things on it. This is gonna be the most fun glyos toy yet. :-D

  13. Blazes. Builder's paradise much? As it is, there's enough to possibly last a while, just from sheer volume of stuff. Let's hope so, at least!

    1. I'm looking forward to seeing what you create with this round. Those PVC Male/Male pins are a blast!

      Delete
    2. You know it, Matt. You've already seen the build I have in mind for the lion's share of my order this time 'round; it'll be fun seeing what I can do with the remainder from that.

Any chance we can start seeing some of those Plus builds you were alluding to in the next couple of days?

      Delete
    3. There is a Gobon Plus build in the top shots, using one complete Hub Set and one Gobon. That build you sent the shots of looks very appealing, with a tough yet heroic vibe.

I think you will get a kick out of a build I'm calling the Hi-Phaseon. It is two Hub Sets and one Phaseon. Pics will be up tomorrow.

      Delete
    4. Sounds good. Any chance of seeing a build that puts the bigger and smaller Hub dome pieces next to a Gobon Blaster disc? At first it looked like that smaller was about the same size, but these new pics seem to show otherwise...

  14. Too stoked. This colorway is beautiful.
I hope the they last this time, I'd hate for people with internet problems, or people who simply can't make it in time miss out because everything got sold out in a matter of minutes.

    2. That sounds fantastic.
Good lord, I can imagine you burying yourself in all this goodness back at your house.

      A lovely sea of grey and blue vinyl. ;3;

  15. Oh yes a new Exellis! Fantastic. That blue was beautiful but that green made me almost pee. Thank you.

  17. I am so incredibly excited, what a great time to be a Glyos fan with a dangerous obsession for muted colors... :D

  18. good lord... I really hope I can snag some things while I'm out.. Chris is nice enough to help me out here... but this is going to make everyone broke...

I'm already playing the "it's ok if I don't get one of those" game...

    nicely done you magnificent bastard...

hope there are a lot of all becouse i think to buy all....

  23. Wow.
This drop will be so awesome.
    Brilliant!

    ReplyDelete
  24. If you have the time, some questions:
    1) How many M/M pins in a Hub set?
    2) Are Axis and Hub sets really coming in mixed colors? If so, can you show us, ahead of time, the mix?
    Thank you, sir!

    ReplyDelete
  25. 1) Hub Set:

    8- M/M Switch Pins
2-Three way connectors (different than the Glyan)
2-Right angle F/F pieces (the "shoulders" on the DSG)
2-Straight F/F pieces (beefier than the Glyan)
1-Triple female connector (seen on the DSG blaster)
1-Five way female central Hub (DSG chest -also doubles as a PVC to Vinyl adaptor)
1-Four way female central Hub (Helmet on the DSG-like a jumbo Phase Arm top)

    17 parts total

2)Ha! I screwed that up -they are solid packed! Thanks for pointing that out Cappy!

    1. Oh dang, and all this time I thought the five-way Hub was two pieces! Well, this might change my plans . . . but only slightly!
