Thank you for making the last release of 2014 a positive one! The activity during Sunday night was steady and we had a few items move at some old school speeds, particularly the new Redlaw Phanost. It was a bit of a strange figure to roll out, so the good response goes a long way towards making more production clear/paint mixes available in 2015. What clear colors would you be interested in seeing return? We have a couple clears on deck, but we're always looking for your thoughts on this stuff!
Marcus and I will be popping some posts up reflecting a bit on 2014 as the month passes, as well as sharing a few things that have been in the works for a couple of years. Hopefully you will enjoy a few of these virtual odysseys that have been long in the making.
Thanks once again to each of you for being part of Glyos. This project doesn't belong to any one individual, it belongs to all of us.

Thank you! I'm sort of sad that I passed on this guy, but ultimately I kind of realized that my clear figures wind up chilling out of sight, most of the time. So, I personally passed. Except my Mordireus Sarvos. I'll love him forever.
ReplyDeleteFor what it's worth, I do enjoy the clears, even if not as much as Real Type goodness. I'd love to see a smoke colored figure show up with extra metallic apps. I'm thinking of how cool Redlaw would look with smoke instead of purple, and the same metallic apps. And with that said, I missed out on the gray galaxy figures, so I'd love to see some figures show up with that color scheme again.
And of course, Voss is always a winner.
Missed out on the redlaw due to holiday travel..i'll be sure to catch the next figure like him
ReplyDeleteThe pearl clear Orange that Noboto was done in a while ago would look amazing with some other figures and those silver apps!
ReplyDeleteCheck chessex dice for inspiration! Their Gemini colors especially I would enjoy seeing on glyos figures! Actually any of their colors would be nifty.
ReplyDeleteTranslucent red with metallic black paint apps and yellow eyes.
ReplyDeleteTranslucent plum with sage green paint apps and teal eyes.
Translucent icewater blue with metallic pearl white paint apps and deep purple eyes.
The possibilities are nearly endless.
Thanks for making it such a knockout drop! There were a surprising amount of variety in releases this year, that's for sure. As for ideas for future deluxe clears:
ReplyDeleteVoss with silver, like how we saw on last wave's Crayboth, would be a standout release.
Cosmic Wave blue with silver might just make for one of the coolest Microman homages ever. Yellow would do the same, no doubt.
Smoke with gold could take something mysterious and make it regal. Red might also rock like this, especially if up against the blue/silver.
And so many more...
Would really love to see gobon in some clears (nemica please!!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for another great year looking forward to the next!!
Yes! I agree that the metallic trans neon orange needs to be seen again and w/ yellow or neon green paint apps. What about a neo nonilla?!?!?
ReplyDeleteWe still REEEEEALLY need a gold gobon. GOLDBON
ReplyDeleteI know this idea would be plastic intensive, but how about a Microman Homage? 4 Travelers, in Clear colorless with painted metallic green chest, clear blue with painted gold chest, clear yellow with painted copper chest, and clear orange with painted metallic blue chest, each with a different silver plastic head. You could do Pheyden, Sarvos, Exellis and Phanost; the original 4 Travelers as the original 4 micromen.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see the translucent purple / silver combination on an Armorvor. :)
ReplyDeleteI would really like to see a clear blue with black or silver paint apps!
ReplyDeleteI'd be up for some bright translucent orange with similar paint aps to Redlaw, but black with red trim to give the impression of magma with floating stone armor where it's cooled down.
