One of the most widely used Variable Reflex Driver configurations on Planet Esedeth is the Trekrunner.
Based on Rig Runner mechanics, the Trekrunner is capable of moving at extremely high speeds and possesses low altitude flight capabilities.
EMP soldiers have been known to push the maximum limits of these fast moving and rugged Drivers, especially when facing the gravity defying "Quickships" commonly employed by the various relic hunters who feed on Esedeth's hidden treasures.
The Trekrunner form can be activated within any Variable Reflex Driver by connecting to a standard Glyan Blaster set in "data key" mode -as long as it contains the correct Trekrunner assembly code.
All Variable Reflex Driver configurations follow the specific prime formation directive stored within a standard Glyan Blaster.

I love how much detail is crammed into this build. I also especially like this idea of the Glyan blaster working as a key to activate these rigs - it not only sounds cool, but looks cool too, and has some practical value to boot!
ReplyDeleteThe Glyan Blaster acting as a key is very reminiscent of the baton tools from Tron Legacy. Nice touch!
ReplyDeleteOne of the great things about this build is that you can just hear it lifting off the ground -- all clanking and whirring, even though it isn't that old yet.
ReplyDeleteStill can't wait to see that VRD Walker Type, though!
These things are absolutely awesome. Onell is absolutely killing it. I like Roboforce but never felt compelled to get one... until now.
ReplyDeleteThe Robo Force kits are awesome bits of Glyos for sure, you really get a ton of parts with them. I have a few kits, and always knew there was something secretive hidden away in the sculpt of these parts. Seeing these additional shapes, this time as vehicles your Glyans can ride, really completes the toys for me and adds that additional level of cross-play that was missing between Onell's 3" figures and Toyfinity's Robo Force. Simply awesome.
DeleteI have no words for how this drop has got me feeling right now. 8:30 can't come fast enough!
ReplyDeleteLOOOOOVE THIS!!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the new backdrop. After seeing the history of Kenner exhibit in Cincinnati last weekend, which had a section dedicated to the packaging scene photography. If Glyos came in boxes, it would have awesome Kenner SW scene type pics for sure!!
ReplyDeleteThey have a Kenner exhibit? That's awesome, if is a permenently fixture and I'm ever in Cincinatti I'll have to check that out.
