Cosmic Waves

We are getting ready to release a small round of new stuff towards the middle of this month and this blue Exellis and his matching Axis Joints are part of the new assortment. The hue is very close to the original blue from the Cosmic Wave Pheyden that came out a few years ago. It also matches up pretty well to the recently released clear blue stuff from the Four Horsemen's Phase Series of OSM. These two configurations were assembled out of one Exellis and four sets of Axis Joints.

  1. Perfect! This is exactly what I need for a pending custom job. But I bet Matt's gonna do this one himself first.

  2. Thats a very pretty shade of blue. Looks especially nice on the little Arms suit lookin' thing next to Exellis. Gonna need a bunch of these.

  3. Is this the same blue as the clear blue buildmen?

  4. @eatyourchildren: No, these are definitely as close to the original Cosmic Wave and NYCC Astro-Nautilus as you can get, but darker still than the original Clear Blue Gendrones, and lighter still than the Nemica Storm Callgrim.

That being said, this may be the most beautiful clear yet, Mr. Doughty. And it flows so perfectly well with the sharp clear colorless that just dropped, too!

  5. I've been waiting for a the blue clears to come.. they seemed a glaring omission from the henshin wave... I'm wondering what other clears might be coming.. or even if some new solids might be down the pike... I would like more rothan colored or even a new capture suit or frontier character... i would love to see some axis joints with panel lines painted in...

  6. Why is there a difference between the translucents used in the Callgrim figures and the translucents used for the onell site? Callgrim seems to use darker shades where as Onell has much lighter. I've been meaning to ask this for a while but I was just wondering in the long run if there was a chance Phase Mk. II or Cosmic Wave Mk. II might be able to use the darker while any Mk. IIs on the Callgrim side could use the lighter colors.

  7. The clears vary with the PMS color selection. I personally like things a bit more translucent, so the colors supplied to the factory are on the lighter side.
This particular blue is the most successful yet as far as hitting the right mix of color tint and clarity in this hue. As long as we get to keep making this stuff, new variations on clears will continue to be created. I remember that you like things a bit richer in color, right Starscream? I think that this new blue in hand will be pretty good for you, though not as deep as Nemica Storm.

  8. Dont forget for all the peeps who ordered the
Official Infection 2.0 set of 5 heads (Infected Pheyden, Infected Excellis, Infected Sarvos, Infected Govurum, & Scarab Warrior) those are thermo and they closely match the blue and hopefully Matt is making a red Exellis as well?
