Old Color Tests

This sketch of Noboto and Gobon dates back to around 2006, and served as a study to refine the details and color selections of the characters in relation to each other.  This doodle was also used as a guide while I worked on the original prototype of Noboto at the shop.

Looking at it now, I remember Michelle and I discussing whether or not to leave the detailed area on Noboto's forehead on or off. In the end I'm happy we kept it simple, though now I want to make a variant!

    just print the esotheric bell doinky (looks almost like a triple bindi, lol) on his head and give the body the DRT paintjob and voila!
    Noboto needs Alpha 7s little cosmic jet ski!

    Sweet! Lookin' good Matt! You totally have to do a variant for it, I know I'd buy one. ^_^

    Can't wait to see what else is in store for the drop, here's hoping a reverse of this colorway. I needs me a Green & brown Noboto. O_O

      To add to Chris's idea, it'd be cool to see an entirely yellow colorway with a pistachio head, much like one of the other Noboto sketches you've posted on the blog. Guess we'll have to wait and see!

    I think I will have to put some burnt umber panel lines on my standard Noboto.

    That drawing of Noboto is great and now the background of my phone.

    A DX style colorway that gives Noboto the little detail (and the shinier belt) would be most welcome, methinks. Thanks again for sharing this little piece of the past (and present?) with us!

    I love that these guys are coming out & I love the colors too. Can I make a suggestion to another Noboto color ? Glow in the Dark, please
