Shuffle and Switch

Some hiccups over here have shuffled the release this week to a tentative date of Thursday, March 31st, at 9:30PM EDT. Hopefully PayPal will behave and this wave will not turn what's left of my hair an extra shade of white.

Many elements in this new assortment thematically follow up the February 2016 launch, serving as a little sequel in the style department.

The Armodoc also makes its return (in the slightly pearlescent orange vinyl with metallic paint shown above) and includes a matching Syclodoc head, so you can swap the noggins around for a different look.

Just about everything in this little round will be revealed before we go live.

Should be a fun week!

Family Night

Cady and CC both hit the drawing pads this time, each producing another round of our familiar aliens in action! It was the best watching the girls work on their stuff together, stealing my markers and pens throughout the process (their dad was also in drawing mode).

The particular versions shown in the images above will be surfacing early next week -that is of course if the kids don't swipe them all first. I've never seen the girls so excited by the colors on the figures before. Usually Glyos ends up losing out to the Zelfs, Shopkins and Barbies that populate the play areas around here.

I guess those Zelfs are pretty good.

Thank you for the awesome artwork, Bubba and Bays!

Cady's Glyclops

When Cady first saw the clear orange with sparkles Glyclops, she was pretty excited. It wasn't more than a few hours after she spied the figure that she produced the drawing shown above.

As Cady speeds through her youth, it's little points like receiving a piece of artwork from her that slows the process, even for just for a moment.

Spaced Out Design: Mecha Treeborgs

Extended family member and 3D printing machine, Pj Bartlett of Spaced Out Design, will have a brand new round of homegrown figures available tonight, March 12th, at 9PM EST.

The amount of work that Pj pours into each one of these 3D printed figures is pretty crazy. Just about every time we talk he's busy either printing, cleaning, vapor bathing or painting one of his mechanical marvels. Based on what I've seen, the work that goes into creating just one fully poseable 3D printed figure is far beyond the tortures that can come with silicone mold making and resin casting (speaking from direct experience). The end results are absolutely worth it though, as you can actually play with the final piece and even fully customize it (which I got to do with the figure shown above). The resolution is still coming together with the available tech, but I would challenge any action figure collector not to crack a smile when handling one of these little guys.

Between the work Pj, Sanjeev, Ben and David are all doing with 3D printing, the future is looking better than ever for homegrown projects. These guys are all moving in incredible directions.

Well done on another excellent assortment, Pj! It's been a privilege watching you push your limits and seeing you build so many unique figures over the years. This is one of your best runs yet.

Knights of the Slice: Stealth Phasing Mode

Toy Pizza mastermind and Knights of the Slice creator, Jesse DeStasio, is offering for a limited time a Clear Colorless Stealth "Phasing Mode" Knight of the Slice over at the Toy Pizza Shop for a specially priced $10 USD.

This version matches up with our current Buildstation selection and also follows the tradition of a reduced price on select clear colorless runs to allow for more building and customizing options. Standing at roughly 4" tall, the Knight design works quite well as a larger humanoid base body for building, particularly with the Axis, Swing, Phase Arm and Hub accessory sets.

Jesse also has some limited edition, one of a kind customized Series 3 "Goldbag" Knights available for preorder as well in the Toy Pizza Shop. These special versions explore a wide range of painting techniques that are applied directly by Jesse (a long time toy customizer) himself. Very unique, and a great window into Jesse's creative vision and style.

If you are looking to find the main release for the Knights of the Slice figures, be sure to check out the full assortment of blind bagged figures available over at Hastings, both online and in their actual stores.

When I first met Jesse, I was walking around SDCC in 2004 with a backpack full of Microshow books and custom figures (the very same event where I met Spy Monkey's awesome Jeremy Sung!). We clicked right away and have been friends ever since that first meeting.

I've personally had lot of fun finally working on a full production figure together after all these years, and it's hard not to crack a smile each time I look at the toy shelf/pile and see those weirdo Knights staring back at me.

Now, we need to make Rex.

Looking forward to the next stage, Jesse!

Zullbeast Psychozor

New vinyl maker and painting mega talent, Mike MZ, has an all new version of his menacing Zullbeast available right now over in his store. Featuring a brand new head sculpt and produced in fully Glyos compatible purple rotocast vinyl, the nearly 7-inch tall Zullbeast Psychozor is one sinister looking creature from the Void!

Congratulations on the new addition to the family, Mike!

Double Thank You!!!

After some major dodging and weaving behind the scenes, we have made it through the recent strangeness of the late double February release in one piece. PayPal can be like a labyrinth even on the best of days, so when things take a turn it can really drive you bonkers to find a way out of the mess. Sitting in front of a supposedly automated inventory system on a computer screen with a "double check" tally sheet in your lap and a pen in your hand is almost laughable from an outside perspective.

Almost.

Huge thanks to each of you for sticking with us while we sorted out the logistics and inventory issues.

A double helping of gratitude as well for all the feedback regarding the potential second edition of the Varteryx Gotherrus figure. Based on the response, we've decided to greenlight another limited production run. Expect to see the armored avian return some time in the late Spring.

Our next wave is on track for the end of this month, and features a few color combinations with ties to the old days. Should be fun as long as PayPal holds up!

Thanks again from Michelle, Marcus and I for everything.

February 2016 Release UPDATE

*2/29 UPDATE: The store has been updated with the remaining items from last week's sale (refresh onelldesign.com/store). Please note there are very limited quantities of certain items. Thanks again for your support and patience.

We had some issues with our old friend PayPal last night, causing the inventory control to experience a meltdown, supposedly due to extra high traffic.

This resulted in the Varteryx Gotherrus being slightly oversold.

Those that ordered right before the store was closed will be receiving a direct refund on that particular figure, but the rest of your order will still remain intact and ship WITHOUT the Varteryx Gotherrus.  We will notify you directly if you are receiving a refund on this figure. Please let us contact you.

All other orders from last night have already been processed and are being prepared for shipping. Packages will start hitting the post this Friday morning.

Michelle and I burned the midnight oil last night to nail down the actual numbers, so there would be no extended delays in getting all the orders out. We are shooting to reopen the store by next Monday, after we follow up with PayPal and get the back end secured.

Due to previous problems with PayPal, we have a series of internal controls that we use for every release. These controls (paper, pen and math) remain completely outside of the PayPal system. It is through these countermeasures that we have been able to spot inventory discrepancies before they spiral out of control (like the "Paypocalypse" of June 2013). The last PayPal inventory issue occurred in July 2015 during our 8th anniversary wave. Our monitoring of the system back then caught things before they went nuts, but we did oversell one figure during that round as well.

We'll keep you guys updated on everything as we move along.  Also, we're discussing potentially running another round of the Varteryx Gotherrus, so feel free to leave your input in the comments section below and we'll see what the interest level is.

Sincere thanks from Michelle, Marc and I for your patience and understanding as we square everything away. We truly apologize for the difficulties that some of you experienced last night and 100% share in your justified frustration. The team is working on all cylinders to rectify the situation.

Not many folks can break PayPal, especially three separate times. You guys are still a real force to be reckoned with, even after nearly 9 years.

Code Zereon

As Glyaxia Command continued their search through Argen's data files, many strange records relating to the early development of the Buildman Project were uncovered. Within this information lay hidden a number of abandoned concepts that were taken directly from the Sendollest Buildstation archives by Argen himself.

Of particular interest to Glyaxia Command was a sealed project simply called Code Zereon.

Argen's data revealed that during the height of the Old War, the Metran Science Department discovered a derelict craft of unknown origin among the shattered moons of the Sendollest Drifts. Through the use of a powerful alien decryption mechanism the Metran Science Department pulled a series of esoteric mechanical plans from the craft's cortex and proceeded to try and recreate what they had found.

Documentation from the original Code Zereon experiments ended with an unexpected order to destroy all active test models and to halt any further development of the project indefinitely.

After learning of these events, Glyaxia Command realized that Argen was intent on resurrecting the Code Zereon project due to the evidence found inside his memory banks. It was then, through the use of Argen's own significant progress in nearly constructing a "Gendrone" Zereon, that Glyaxia Command was able to complete the unfinished work started by the Metran Science Department so long ago.

Now, select Esedeth Mobile Patrol soldiers utilize the first production Gendrone Zereons in their specialized missions, incorporating the compact tech into different Variable Reflex Driver configurations and testing the Zereon's limits.

Banimon Invisibles

Perfectly timed with today's fresh snowfall, Rocket North's Chief Commander Boris Savic reinforces his Banimon legion with the first ever Clear Colorless "Invisible" edition of his classic Banigoth/Red Army Men figure tonight, February 5th at 9PM EST over in the Banimon store.

I've personally been waiting for a clear colorless run of these little guys for years, and now it's finally happening. I've had a few particular builds set aside specifically for this clear Banimon parts attack (one is shown above)!

However, the launch isn't only about the new clear production run, it also features a special custom "Pseudo CC" offering, showcasing the combined talents of longtime Banimon collaborator Seth "Orbitdyne" Longmire and Boris himself.

Looking forward to this release, B! It's hard to believe that you're coming up on 4 years in full production (Banimon/Red Army PVC figures debuted back in September 2012)!

Congratulations on another round, Boris!

EMP Buildman Cinar

To better understand the advanced Axis integrated Buildman designs discovered within Argen's unlocked data files, a special Gendrone was assembled known as Buildman Cinar.

Patterned after the Buildman "Warrior" configuration that Argen utilized for his frontline soldiers, Cinar was also given access to the many different forms that Argen had pioneered during his extended time spent in "Voyager" mode. Careful measures were used by Glyaxia Command to ensure that only specific parts of Argen's core matrix were copied and uploaded to Cinar. Though the project was still considered very dangerous, the possibility of controlling an army of hyper powered Argens was deemed worth the risk.

Cinar was assigned to the Esedeth Mobile Patrol due to the high frequency of conflict on the planet, making the landscape a perfect live training ground to gain actual combat experience.

Currently serving as an all purpose counterpart to the specialized VRD units and answering directly to Commander Awken, Cinar's development remains closely monitored.

Thank You!!!

Thank you for a great start to 2016! It's been a ton of fun preparing things behind the scenes for this new Esesdeth wave, and we're extremely grateful for the positive responses to the pictures and story bursts over the last week. Your continued interest truly keeps the creative fires burning over here!

We've been processing and shipping in hyper mode since Wednesday to get everything out the door as quickly as possible, hustling double time as the first big storm of the winter season begins to drift our way. As of this writing, all orders received up until this morning have been packed and sent out!

Special thanks to Toyfinity's John Kent for letting us debut the first fully painted Zeroid mold with the Esedeth wave. We've been working on that little bugger for quite some time together, and to finally see it in full production has been something really special. Expect more crossover action between all of us as 2016 rolls on. There's a lot to explore within this new addition to the Glyos family!

Massive thanks from the whole Onell team for a wild 2015 and solid start to 2016! Without each of you, we'd definitely be forever in that van down by the river.
