A belated but mega-sized thank you for a great Wave 101! Revisiting the Glyosar dimension is one of our favorite things to do, even if it doesn't occur all that often. Marcus and I tried our best to weave the brand-new Bit Figs Dreadvalken debut directly into the new release, as their stories are 100% connected all the way through. We look at Wave 101 as a direct sequel to the Bit Figs Dreadvalken assortment, which we further explored with the amazing sequential artwork ace, Dillon Wheelock, in the pages of the latest comic (thank you Dillon!).

The new round also revealed the previously secret Equisarren sculpt, which was originally created along with the finalized Kydrothi, Waellex and Intruder heads. The Equisarren release was held back specifically for Wave 101 and we really had a lot of fun solving the special crossover Centurion build with Marty's parts, which began late last year. We came very close to running two color styles of that pile of PVC, but ultimately decided to "reign" it into just one, though I'm pretty certain that build will ride once again. Welcome to Pun Hell.

Thank you to both Sen and Dillon for electrifying the rollout with their continued double dose of ever impressive talents. I'm grateful beyond words to be working with these two absolutely unique art masters. 

Michelle and I were joined by Marcus for the extended processing, packing and shipping that's been steadily chugging along over the last few weeks. As always, Michelle moved at an incredible pace, while we trailed along covered in cardboard cuts, gnarled newspaper and endless rolls of insolent tape.

Marcus was in charge of the barn tunes, which consisted of choice selections pulled from our infamous "Death List", which of course covers the final songs you'd want to hear on your last day on earth. Morose, but an interesting exercise that we've been discussing for the greater part of almost 2 decades. Lots of Little Dragon on that list.

A special thank you goes out to Jesse D for inviting us to his recent Toy Pizza Expo, which was his best event yet. An amazing meeting of makers and enthusiasts punctuated by a brand new and expansive location made for an extremely special day. Jesse worked like crazy behind the scenes all year to pull everything together, and the resulting expo really showcased the herculean efforts. Well done, Jesse!

The next wave is currently on target for our 17th anniversary in late July, with a few familiar faces set to return along with a little brand new action as well. Should hopefully be a fun mixture of old vibes and unexpected twists to enjoy under the summer sun.

Thank you for sticking with us through these strange times. We'll forever work as hard as we can to make it worth the time and dedication that you each continue to share with us.

Equisarren Centurion Valkensteel

After the emergence of the First Children and the events that followed near the Edge of Space, Pheyden took the remnants of the Intruder Armor that he recovered after the battle and rushed them to the enigmatic Varteryx Archimyrius within the Glyosar Dimension, where the omniscient eyes of the Elder Masters cannot see. It was there that Pheyden relayed careful instructions from the Council of Travelers for Archimyrius to create a new countermeasure for the coming conflict. 

Using a combination of various genetic codes and the Intruder remnants, Archimyrius brought forth the artificial being known as the Equisarren Centurion, created specifically to battle the powerful First Children of the Elder Masters. Possessing a quadrupedal form outfitted with warp thrusters on each foot and a dangerous array of hybrid bioweapons, the Equisarren Centurion's only flaw was that it could not be reproduced without more genetic material from the First Children. 

However, rumors of a strange and horrific abomination also born from the recklessness of the First Children began to spread amongst the Travelers, and its location ...Glyosar.

Thanks for making the return of Bit Figs a glorious one! The first batch of orders will hit the post tomorrow and continue into Thursday & Friday. I'll be sharing more about the new series over at BitFigs.com, but I wanted to thank 3 key people who helped bring these mini monstrosities to life:

PJ of Spaced Out Design who was instrumental in the early prototyping, printing dozens of versions while we worked up and refined the sculpts for over a year. Series 2 is well underway thanks to his efforts!

George of Double G Toys for creating the final masters at Four Horsemen Studios that were used for the steel mold, and who has been an unwavering supporter since the beginning, not to mention helping bring the original Skeleden into existence.

An extra monstrous thanks for being part of the special debut release of Mike MZs Zulloid! Right out of the gates, I know there has been some warranted frustration with the brevity of availability on this new assortment, and for that I do personally apologize. 

That being said, this entire round was the last order Mike MZ placed before he passed on, so the numbers were not at the level that we would normally run for our own stuff. We worked closely with the family of Mike MZ to make sure they were all totally on board with us releasing this wave just as Mike had asked me to do in our last conversation. To say that this entire experience has been intensely emotional doesn't really come close to covering it.  

Wave 101 is lined up to roll out near the end of this month and it does include a brand new Zulloid in the mix, run at higher numbers. You'll also see another edition of the Zulloid pop up in a different location even sooner than that. Our aim right along the way has been to do a successive series of Zulloid editions to celebrate the last project we all did with Mike MZ. Keep your eyes peeled over where "the gods are beasts" sometime next week if you're hunting for the next style of the Zulloid. 

Mike would have been extremely happy by the turnout for his new creature from space. There's a good story to tell regarding the development and history of the Zulloid, and I look forward to sharing it with you once all the dust settles a bit. 

Deep gratitude goes out to the whole Moszczynski Family for allowing us to share in continuing the legacy of Mike with all his friends and fans.

Zullen: A Reintroduction -The Sleekryll

The Zullen Sleekryll are the enforcers of the Zullen collective, genetically enhanced through the cross-hybridization of only the strongest of alien races (particularly through the genetic sampling of an injured and subsequently captured Delphi from the Glyos System). Due to their aggressive multi-species bio-breeding, they are capable of manifesting extraordinary physical abilities, but have a lower intelligence quotient as a result of their diluted natural ancestry. 

Additionally, the newly created organism called the Zulloid has shown a particular affinity for bio-bonding with the Sleekryll. 

Zullen: A Reintroduction - The Clyrathan

The Zullen Clyrathan are a psychically hyper powered race with unique clairvoyant abilities. They are tasked with reading the "Directional Fate" of civilizations that are selected for experimentation by the Zullen collective, taking any necessary action to guarantee that their clandestine operations are not compromised. These usually nefarious plans are commonly imposed through psychic espionage, mind manipulation and remote telekinetic activities. 

In many ways, the Zullen Clyrathan serve as the "Psychic Navigators" of the Zullen collective, charting the courses of entire planetary generations just so the Zullen can feed off the resulting advancement or destruction of each targeted society.

Zullen: A Reintroduction -The Xarrgrey

The Zullen are a collective of alien races that have become obsessed over time with discovering, manipulating, claiming and then perfecting advanced foreign technology. Throughout millennia the Zullen surveyed countless worlds, establishing clandestine outposts to monitor the evolutionary progress of potentially useful species, then strategically meddling with their natural order to create more desirable results from these "experiments".  Many civilizations owe their true destruction to the Zullen, with their greatest resources and advanced science eventually being stolen by the Zullen's Imperial Regent.

Overseeing the Zullen are the Xarrgrey, gene splicing experts that re-engineer and integrate "returned" technology into the Zullen "Cortex Immortal" to foster new innovations for their collective to build upon. They were the first race that established the Zullen and continue to operate in a leadership capacity. 

Almost all of the genetic experiments within the Zullen collective are carried out by the Zullen Xarrgrey, with two of the most notable being the abomination known as the Zullbeast and the hybrid super organism called the Zulloid, both of which represent physical manifestations of all the atrocities committed by the Zullen against the known universe. These horrific creatures are often used to "purify" undesired results stemming from failed Zullen world manipulations.

Furthering their bold pursuit of engineering the most deadly organism in the known systems, the Zullen turned their attention to crossbreeding elements of the captured lifeform known as Kaisyriax with their own already diverse DNA. While the initial results of Project Zulloid were considered uncontrollable abominations like the Zullbeast, success was finally achieved with the discovery and integration of additional genetic material recovered from an ancient derelict craft known as the Atarikoth Comet. 

Now, rising from their Mutagenic Multra Tanks and radioactively supercharged, the Zulloid begin their campaign to become the ultimate apex predator of all creation.  

Legacies and Lifeforms

Tonight, April 28th, we have a special surprise mini wave ready to roll out in celebration of the late Mike MZ's final figure project, the Zulloid, which has been in development since early 2019. 

We have been working directly with his family since his passing, and with their blessing, we are honored to usher this legacy project into the fold, just as Mike asked us to do. 

This new assortment will land in the store at the usual 9:30PM EDT!

A belated but gargantuan thank you for landing us on the other side of 100 waves! It was a particularly challenging round that enjoyed throwing a couple curveballs our way, so we really appreciate all the patience while we navigated through "The Delay Zone".

Our main goal for Wave 100 was to share a healthy combination of new parts, new art and new story elements, coordinated to hopefully deliver a compact capsule of fun. Of course, getting all the pieces to complete the puzzle always takes more time than you ever plan for, but that's fairly minor if the end result still makes you genuinely smile.

I wanted to once again give deep thanks to Dillon and Sen for the artwork that they created for Wave 100. There are many unseen layers of effort that are involved with any artistic endeavor, and I was extremely lucky to watch both artists develop their projects into some truly extraordinary final forms. Dillon and Sen, I couldn't be happier with what you each pulled straight from the Edge of Space!

All orders from the night of the sale to the posting of these words have been packed and sent out. Thanks to all of you, Michelle and I happily faced a larger than usual stack of orders, which in these strange times is something we are very grateful for. The only downside was that it took us a little longer to process, pack and tape. Michelle was also busting my chops because the specific names of the characters in this round were making her brain implode while she hammered through the processing. Some couples bicker about what's for dinner, others knock heads about the names of made-up aliens sounding too similar in a database, and then some do both.

The Mega Man 2 soundtrack pretty much kept me alive during the papering/taping time in the barn, along with a combination of certain songs from Twice and the Cocteau Twins. I think Mega Man 2 might have the best music from the whole series.

Our next wave is looking to emerge sometime in late April or early May. Also, make sure to check out the latest from Cappy Space (new stuff currently available) and Spaced Out Design (featuring a crossover connection to Wave 100 due tomorrow night).

Super special thanks to CC for the awesome image shown above! We spent an entire week together venturing out onto the frozen reservoir located way out behind our house, each day after school, shooting all the photos for Wave 100. It was a perfect passage of time that I'll be replaying in my mind forever.

Each time I draft a message to you guys after a new launch, I swear to myself that I'll keep it pretty brief as not to torture, but the text pile still manages to scale up!
