These sketch cards are from the original Art Hustle set that came out back in 2010. A few have been posted before, but I don't think all of them have ever been revealed. The bottom ones were cut out so that the card is the shape of the drawing.
When I was little it was fun to clip out drawings and carry them around. They didn't last very long, but I remember it being neat to pretend that they were toys. PVC holds up a little better.

When I was little, I used to cut out drawings and play with them, too! Nowadays I find plastic toys a lot more durable (and 3-dimensional).
ReplyDeleteI did the same thing as a kid! I remember drawing all the 8-back MotU characters, so I could "get" the ones I didn't have. I even drew a paper Castle Grayskull playset. Drew the outside on one side, and the inside on the other, complete with a cutout in the inside of where the trap door should be. Man I wish I had those still, but yeah, they didn't hold up for long. Good times.
ReplyDeletePrinted on a sheet of thin rubber, you could carry around your drawings and have them last.
ReplyDeleteLol. I did the same as a kid, but I would tape them to my window so everyone on the outside could see them. You know, because everyone can see a 3" picture taped randomly to a window. Behind a bush. Yeah. I was cool like that.
ReplyDeleteThese look great. Especially like the one with the two Delphi.
ReplyDeleteOne looks to be a drawing of the sculpt in this photo....http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_qFmz5vw9Bhk/TR6LB4Q5mAI/AAAAAAAADTQ/c4dWsEUAk0M/s1600/LastShot2010%255B1%255D.jpg
